Location was good.
The rooms have not been maintained well, the built-in closet was broken, all the furniture was extremely worn out. The 3 elevators couldnt pick up all the demand in rush times and you had to wait more than 15 minutes.
Staff attitude was not good and we were given a room with 2 separate beds, even though our booking was for a one double bed. The staff was smiling behind the counter, when I raised this as an issue, probably based on the fact that me and my partner were both male and we were simply not given a room with 1 double bed.

It's a great location and the staff were great
The rooms had broken sockets and the beds were really old and dated etc.

The building was still standing up in 1 piece. The elevators are functional.
When I entered my room, the temperature was 34.5 degrees Celcius. I could not open a window. When I went to the reception to ask what they can do about it, I was told they couldn’t open one of fixed windows. After raising my voice, the manager suddenly appeared and said that the infrastructure of the hotel is dated. They will open a window for me. Relocating me to another room was not possible it seems. After opening the window, the temperature went up to 36 degrees C. After almost becoming sick and sweating a lot, I went down to the reception to complain again. There I saw another gentleman with a complaint, who was being shouted at by the same manager as the gentleman said he wanted to file a complaint with the UK Hotel Regulator. The manager was very very rude and even used curse words against this calm gentleman. I checked out of this place, as they didn’t want to relocate me to another room, the temperature was 36 degrees C (96F). It would take hours to cool down the room. In order to keep the window open, the curtains need to be 100% open as well. The hotel is surrounded by taller buildings. I didn’t see myself sleeping naked with the curtains open, hoping I wouldn’t be dehydrated. I checked out, cancelled my stay. I got a refund from booking and no fees were charged and moved to another hotel. This entire episode lasted for almost 2-3 hours. While I was waiting in the queue at the reception, another oerson asked me what was going on. I calmly explained the issue to the gentleman to awnser his question. A receptionist intervened and full on snapped to me. Very poor staff. The manager is only caring about his ego. I was told to go my room and accept the situation. Never seen this before in my life. Even at Fawlty Towers you have a nicer manager and a hotel room where the heating didn’t go bonkers.

Breakfast was awful. Hotel is very dated.

It was in a good location
We got “upgraded” as it was my first time there but the view was of a building site.
Also the hallway stunk of cannabis, we had left an item accidentally and tried to call but no one answers. The item we left was 3x the amount of the room, would be great if someone called me back.
The bathroom door didn’t shut properly you had to slam it. And the check out time was too early

Great location. Nice and clean. Comfy room.
The obscene queue and wait in Dec to check in was bad. We tried once and had to leave the queue as had a booked meal which we were late for as we couldn’t change or drop luggage - luckily one of the group had a car in the basement so we stored it there. So no luck after over 30 mins waiting that time. Came back and after another 30/40 mins we got our rooms, headed to the bar for a drink before bed & it has closed. Customer service was really really poor , yes you are changing systems and the team might be struggling but there were plenty of staff, get someone in that queue speaking to people & apologise for the wait!

Location is amazing, with great transport links/options, so it's Bert easy to get into London from here without having to pay some of the extrortation room rates in the city.
Absurd that a room with a window is considered an upgrade, & charged an extra £10.
Late checkout is also an additional £10 p/h, which would usually be complimentary at some of the more expensive/nicer hotels nearby.
After all theses "extras," you're not that's far off what the other places are charging, don't be fooled by the cheap price advertised, it's not that much more for somewhere nicer.
We got offered a complimentary upgrade to a window room, but it was two single beds stuck together, instead of a double room (as initially booked) - when offered, the receptionist had said that the upgrade was for a triple room with 3 single beds. It wasn't, but it was late at night, and the queue at reception was to slow moving to bother challenging/changing rooms.

The pizzeria that was clearly a franchise.
Dirty, rooms didn't have any phone signal and only WiFi option was paid, the orange juice at breakfast was frothy, dust fell from the extractor fan during nights, woke up by a fire alarm, no windows in the room, buffet dinner was simply atrocious, breakfast was almost inedible, staff were unhelpful,

The room I was given initially smelt of cigarette smoke. when I complained I was moved to another room immediately.
The pillows. there were four hard ones which were impossible to sleep on. There were only two soft ones and we could have done with two more of these. I suppose I should have asked for two more and I'm sure housekeeping would have provided them.

Hotel is super old but functional, after all it is just to sleep and keep your luggage and shower. When we got there It was clean. they say they only clean every 3 days. In 7 days they never cleaned the room, even though I made the request 3 times. Room service staff was on the hallway, so I changed the towels myself and threw away the garbage, nothing crazy.
They did not clean the room as promised! Every three days. People in other rooms were smoking pot, all of the hallway smelled like pot even the rooms.

We had a nice view
Our room smelt of smoke and when we went to reception to ask about changing rooms we just got told “well thats a nice room” and it was, but the stale smell of smoke in the room and the horrific stench coming from the curtains was a massive let down other than that everything else was perfect

I would like to specifically say thank you to the guy who works at the reception. And I quite often come to this hotel and try to get to him, because he always has an excellent one.I think that this guy deserves a lot more attention from the management, because compared to other employees, he always stands out, always looks very elegant, stylish and always smiles, which is not always seen in other employees, so I would ask the admI would like to draw the to pay attention to this.
his name is Lavda
I would like to draw the attention of the technical staff that the window in this room, where I stayed, does not work. It needs to be fixed otherwise. It will just fall on someone's head.
