The staff were very friendly. Check-in was extremely quick and smooth. The facilities were comfy and clean. There was complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings.
The hotel was in a good location to reach a lot on foot for those who like to walk lots.

The location was good
We had booked a double deluxe room with two beds
The hotel had been overbooked and we did not get this room. Instead we were offered one bed and a sofa bed. The latter was worn and not suitable for a child never mind an adult. We had no choice but for me and my travelling companion to share the one and only bed. Whilst we are family it was totally inappropriate for us to be sharing. The lady on reception was very pleasant but couldn’t magic a room up for us and no manager was contactable for the 3 nights we stayed

Nice, environment and kind, helpful staff.
3.0
Nice lobby and staff.
Was sold on a 4 star luxury experience and did not get that. No robes. Small rooms. Way more money then what the experience was worth. Pet fee of 250 was not listed anywhere and was not listed up front.

Location to union square and market
The view of the room, the small room and bathroom. Inaccurate to online pictures. Website stated there would be bathrobes and microwave, however not present

The service from all staff was very impressive, they were very helpful and very friendly. Every time we arrived or left they would open the door for us automatically and there was always a lift waiting with the door open. The room was a great size & well designed and well stocked. The location was great, a short 10min walk from Union Square and there were loads of options around for dining, shopping and sight seeing.
The only negative for the whole stay was when I decided to have breakfast one morning at the on-site restaurant and the quality of the breakfast was not great at all unfortunately and it also was not good value for money, I paid over $45 for bacon and eggs with a coffee. We only dined once at that on-site restaurant and it was for breakfast so I can’t comment on their lunch or dinner service.

This was our second stay at the Marker Hotel. Great value. Easy, walkable location. Comfortable room.

The staff were wonderful, the rooms were big and comfortable!
That we didn't spend more time there!

The location was very convenient and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the cable cars.
Upon check in, one of our keys had to be rekeyed, no big deal, went back down to the desk and the front desk agent fixed it. We tried calling for additional towels, and our in room phone did not work. On day 2 of our trip, our door lock stopped working and would just open without a key. The engineering staff member came to check it out and suggested we move rooms. Wince our phone didn’t work, my husband went down to the front desk for the new keys while I packed up our belongings. Our second room felt cleaner than the first which was great, however a lot of wasted space in the layout of the room and the bathroom vanity was extremely small which made it hard to function. The water took no less than 15 mins to get warm which was a little frustrating.

It was close to the city centre.
The staff were very slow and not very friendly and at times abrupt.

I thought the staff was great
The shower was warm definitely not hot , other than the room they don’t have much to offer in the way of food , snacks, vending. Nothing for breakfast the phones in the room don’t work so if you have a question you have to walk down and ask . Overall incredibly nice staff but it falls short of being what i would consider a really nice hotel

Location, Location, Location 👍 Could not have chosen a better Union Square hotel for our last night in San Francisco.
This hotel exudes class everywhere and it’s circa 1910 Marble Starcase and Open Fireplaces are a sight to behold.
We splurged and stayed in a Suite which was worth every penny.
Being allowed to purchase NZ Oyster Bay Sauv Blanc, from a liquor shop directly across the road, to then enjoy in the library in front of an open fire surrounded by opulence was an extra highlight.
10am check in and 5pm check out next day, albeit with a small extra payment, effectively gave us two full days to explore all the surroundings.
In closing all the staff were outstanding.
We would definitely stay again.
everything was perfect

location - walking distance to Union square
one member of staff was helpful regarding questions we asked about eating places
stored luggage until a time nearer to our flight
staff could have helped with luggage as one of the party was disabled and we struggled to get them in.
also asked for a room for disabled person when booked. didn’t get it. had to ask reception to give us a room with walk-in shower.
no tea coffee in room
rooms were very dark. one was facing a wall

The lobby and decor were impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel was much less expensive than the other downtown hotels, but had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations.
No complaints, we enjoyed our stay

the bathtub took an hour to fill up

We loved the fireplace in the lobby, great place to met up with family members. The rooms were very clean, staff was helpful too! We had hoped to eat at the restaurant but due to time restrictions that wasn’t possible. Next time!
We had requested our 3 rooms to be together. 2 were, the other on the next floor, but it worked out okay.

Lobby and stairs
Room was dirty and spots on the wall. When I checked in at night, the front desk person was rather unwelcoming and just not friendly. Poor staff communication - Took one hour to get two more towels. Front desk wasn’t answering, went directly to the front lobby and ask, then waited almost 40 mins, went back again and finally got it after an hour of waiting total

very cute and the location is awesome!
our flight was delayed so we checked in a day later and they charged us a whole day we weren’t there.
