The Villages at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club

Beautiful location. The property was quite large - the shuttle was useful to get around.

Not used to having no security at the entrance of the Villages - no key card security to get into the individual villages.

The main building is really beautiful and the views from its terrace are spectacular. The swimming pools and tennis courts are nice. Everything is well cared for and clean (bathroom, kitchen). The bed is really comfortable. The staff is super friendly.

Our room in Arbor Village was clean, but had a persistent mold smell throughout our stay. The bigger issue was being constantly displaced due to events. First day, at the pool (fitness center), staff politely asked us to leave within half an hour because of a private class. At the beach, a reception took over and guests became kind of secondary. The next day, the same thing happened at another pool (outdoor near the tennis courts). The mansion was also packed with wedding guests. I understand that events are important for the business, but there was no warning when I booked about how much of the facilities would be unavailable or disrupted during our stay. Finally, for a hotel of this size and price point, the lack of a playground or activities for children, at least during the weekend we were there, was really surprising.
