Served the purpose for our family. Wouldn't recommend for more than a weekend.

The pools were nice. The circle pool was relaxing and quiet. The larger pool is geared more for a younger crowd and not a family.

They need a new hammock in the hammock area. The entire property could use some TLC and a good refresh. The rooms were really dark and the patios were dirty.

Great location!

PERFECT location..a block from the main strip of different kinds of restaurants, karaoke, and the BEST ice cream! Staff was very helpful and friendly! We will definitely book again!

The TV situation...it's a roku tv and you are in guest mode (watch on apps only, no cable or antenna). There's a live TV option on there but it wasn't truly "live". If you have a streaming device such as a fire stick, bring that! This was out ONLY thing that we took away negatively from our week stay!

It was fine but not what I expected for what I paid.

The heater worked really well... The bed and all the pillows were comfortable... Nice patio.

I didn't know there was breakfast, that would've been nice... The decor in my room was dull and lacked personality. Overall it just felt stark and cold compared to the online photos which were colorful and homey feeling.... Also there was a loud, intermittent humming sound coming from inside the wall connecting my neighbor all night.... No TV, only streaming for which had to log into all my own accounts in order to watch... No microwave for my leftover dinner... No outlets over the nightstands, had to pull the bed from the wall in order to reach the one behind it.

Comfortable and convenient. This particular room wasn't good for working on a laptop - no desk.

Great location! Easy walking distance to all the restaurants, galleries, museums, and shops. The landscaping is gorgeous. Lots of amenities onsite although I didn't have a chance to enjoy them. Room is comfortable and I found it quiet during my stay.

There wasn't a desk or a surface where I could work on my laptop. Since I was here for work I found it very inconvenient to have to work in the main lobby. Lots of distractions. Not all the rooms have this issue but I was disappointed that I could switch to another room. If this is an issue for you make sure the room includes a desk when you book. There really isn't any breakfast available onsite. The "cafe" is subpar.

It was very pleasant but expensive

Very convenient location, comfortable. Lots of services although I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy them. I really like landscaping.

No breakfast available onsite. The price of the room is really high! - mainly because it's peak season. It cost more to stay one night than my round trip airfare to get here!

Stay was pretty good but we didn’t like the highway noise

I liked that it was close to the ballpark and all the shopping. The room was comfortable.

I didn’t like the screaming boys that were running around the pool and hot tub while we were relaxing. I would have liked to have a phone to the front deck so you could talk to someone without having to go over to the deck.

I enjoyed everything about it except that I couldn’t work in the room.

The room was clean, the location great, the price very good.

The room didn’t have a desk. I had to work in the hotel lobby- lots of distractions.

You get what you pay for and the location is hard to beat.

I like that I was able to get checked in remotely and use my phone as a digital key. The location for old town Scottsdale was great and overall convenient location. It has a cool/hip vibe that I appreciated and overall it was very quiet and peaceful despite being in a busy area. I think I got what I paid for.

The overall feel of the property was hip and modern but it looked a little tired just below the surface. If you’re used to staying at a newer hotel that is part of a mainstream brand like Hilton, you could find this not to the same standards.

Shocking, other than location.

Other than location, nothing!

Lack of facilities: 1) No laundry service or laundry applinces on complex, 2) no water in room or vending machines on site, 3) rooms/housekeeping was non-existent and even requested payment for supply clean towels, bedding, etc. 4) swimming pool was not only closed but was full of workmen breaking off tiles, etc. with Kango’s and the like creating noise and dust and obviously the pool bar was closed as a result and 5) the TV system was the most complicated i have ever come across, everything was weird streaming applications?! I have noticed a public sign on the border on the resort advising that the site is to be demolished and re-purposed however whilst it is still charging good money for the stay it should provide adequate facilities and services.

No one over the age of 35 should stay here. They’re very proud of their digital check in but I hated it. It’s clearly

It’s a standard Scottsdale property, mini fridge, nice lobby. It’s close to downtown, but it’s really more the kind of place you stay when you and friends want to drink at their pool.

This property is located near a medical facility so that means sirens all night long. Beds aren’t comfortable. No towel refresh service unless requested, want you to check in digitally (give I.D. and credit card ahead of time.) Nothing luxurious or special.

Great location, great rooms but kept awake by noise of others due to thin walls.

Location is perfect for old town.

I booked for the swimming pool. However this was closed all week with no notice. Also, the walls are so thin I could hear a baby next door crying all week.

The location was the only good thing about this place.

Location!

We had absolutely no notice the pool would be closed. That was part of the reason we picked this hotel. We wanted to drink by the pool and enjoy the DJ. It wasn’t until the next morning we woke up to the jack hammers we realized the pool was closed. A little warning would have been nice because we would have booked excursion

They canceled my res 1 hr before check-in, no explanation!

1 hour before check-in they cancelled my reservation. I tried to call, but they don't have anybody on-site, everything routed to India. Nobody could explain what happened, They have a strange automated process, so seems like if something goes wrong they just cancel and you're SOL. DO NOT BOOK!

great location. poorly managed hotel.

the « monarch ». seems rather like a « motel ». My bed was broken, i had to fix some bed slates. , no cleaning during stay. Worst was the jack humer every day from 8 to 5 without notice.

Extremely disappointing

Convenient downtown location.

I’m a returning guest and was extremely disappointed with this stay. I booked a poolside room and was not told that the pool was being resurfaced for my entire stay which was non-refundable. It was extremely loud (piercing constant drilling) and made working from the room impossible, let along being comfortable during the stay. Other guests were screaming from the balcony for the workers to stop. When I reached out to customer service I was offered ear plugs and $20. I wish I was joking.

My girlfriend and I had a very nice time together at this establishment and I will definitely be returning in the future

I felt like I had a lot of privacy, which is something I don’t usually get in hotels so I loved that. And it was a beautiful property.

There was construction at the pool so it was very loud and disturbing but it only lasted a few hours and it wasn’t at night or anything like that so all is well.

Very disappointed

Location was awesome.

We looked very forward to hanging out by the pool for the day. Pool was under construction with jackhammers. SO loud you couldn’t stand to be outside. Small pool was open, but very disappointed for the price we paid. Also very noisy with street traffic.

It served our purpose as it was close to the hospital, but I expected more for the price

The location was very good and the bed was very comfortable.

The furniture felt like well used IKEA. The refrigerator was very small and on the floor. You had to stand on your head to see into it. No regular TV to speak of. If there was WiFi we didn't know. No water pressure in the shower. No microwave.

Descent place, clean and comfy and in a great location

Location was great for old town . Beds were comfortable

Facing a busy road so traffic noise. The fan in the bathroom was so loud it felt like a jet plane taking off.

Dirty towels and sheets and the smell of mildew. I left a day early and I have a bad cough from the smell.

The best stay so far

I like the location! It was easy to get to the city center or to the main park. My room had a pool view and I really loved it. I’ll definitely comeback and highlight recommend Sonder to all my friends.

Highly recommended and good value in Scottsdale Old Town

Stylish and comfortable hotel next to Scottsdale Old Town. Big room with terrace facing the Civic Center park. Nice on-site coffee bar and restaurant. Coffee machine in the room.

The on-line reservation process includes creating a profile on their App and having to scan personal documents for identity check. Time-consuming and concerning. But will be quicker next time. No hanging space, just some hangers in the bathroom. The bar/restaurant closed at 7.45pm when I was there (supposed to me 9pm).

Stay was not a good experience and uncomfortable so we left same day as check in, lasted only a few hours before we deci

Location was good. And staff at front desk were friendly.

Room had a smell of smoke and it was a non smoking room, towels in the room were a bit off looking and stiff. Toilet was not properly cleaned before getting the room we noticed there were pee stains around the black flooring and toilet under the rim. Stay was uncomfortable we left early.

Cheap but incomplete.

Good price. Next to downtown Scottsdale but no good fast food around. Nice pools.

Restaurant wasn’t so yummy. Room service costs 34 dollars. The man that does massages at the spa is a bit creepy and pushy about tipping. No microwave. No laundry available.

We stay in old town 6-7 times a year and really enjoy the area but we will never stay at this hotel again.

The Location was good except it is close to a main road which at night is very noisy.

We like it was close to Old Town.
