Situated in Illinois, this attractive house for £150 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Great river road is a panorama of colors in the fall! Winter the Eagles arrive! Data speeds up to 25 megabytes! **COVID-19 Update - In addition to following strict CDC cleaning and disinfecting guidelines, we can also allow 24hrs. between guests, just let us know when booking . Awesome rolling country views! Close distance to Pere Marquette State Park, Raging River, Wineries, shopping, restaurants. Grafton Marina , where you can rent jet ski's and boats!! Located between the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers in Calhoun County, IL with easy access from the Golden Eagle Ferry (toll ferry) in St. Charles, MO or the Brussels Ferry (free ferry) near Grafton, IL. The home can be reached from most parts of the St. Louis metropolitan area in about an hour or less. The home was designed to look like an old time barn. It was completed in 2008 with many amazing details that make it truly unique! It provides awesome views of rolling farmland and the cliffs of Pierre Marquette State Park to the north and longtime family farmsteads to the south. Sleeping 4 guests, with a 2 night minimum. The Barn House features high vaulted ceilings. Kitchen and main living spaces are located upstairs on the second floor. The views from the second floor windows and decks are amazing!! The home features a full kitchen that includes; refrigerator/freezer, electric glass cooktop range with double oven, microwave, dish washer, clothes washer and dryer and a full compliment of cooking pots, pans, utensils, etc. The master bedroom features a queen bed with matching dressers and chests. The second bedroom has two twin Xl beds. These beds can be pushed together to create a king bed. All beds have brand new sheets, pillows, etc. The family room has a sofa and lounge chairs and features free WiFi. Downstairs in the man cave there is a large entertaining area with a pool table, table with 4 chairs, entertainment system. One full bath upstairs with tub and one full bath with shower only downstairs are completely furnished with all bathroom accessories. Outside there is a two story deck that leads down to a concrete patio that features a hot tub. Charcoal grill, patio table and chairs for outside dining and entertaining. Once you are moved in you can enjoy a quiet drive through Calhoun County with several restaurants and bars and of course the incredible views! Visits to Old Town St. Charles, MO with its many restaurants and shops and Grafton, IL with its unique riverfront restaurants, shops and marina can be made in less than 30 minutes. Fall is a great time to take a drive down the Great River Road to see the turning of the trees. Winter months are great for Eagle Watching & Christmas stroll in Old Town St. Charles . Springtime is great to do some hiking in Pere Marquette & check out the wineries in the area. Summer everything is in bloom and The Grafton Harbor has boats to rent or jet ski's , Not to mention the Aries zip line, and winery with great views! This home is total Electric with heat pump system. All guests must register their names for their stay. Any unexpected guests will be charged $25. per night per guest and will be deducted from their security deposit. Some of the pictures of the barn house include peach trees surrounding the barn. The trees are reaching the end of their useful productive life span. This year it appears we will have some peaches! Our guests are more then welcome to pick some while they are staying at the BARN. Please be kind and just take what you can eat and save for our next guests. In the future we hope to have a variety of fruit trees for all season's. Keep in mind if you have to "tug" on them, they are not ready yet. Keep checking, some ripen before others! Calhoun County is famous for peaches and there are numerous farms nearby that have excellent farm stands.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our getaway here. THE BARN was warm and welcoming and we all felt comfortable and relaxed right away.

My friends and I have stayed at this property 2 times now and both times have been great. The area is beautiful and secluded but still close to Grafton and St. Charles by ferry. Great communication with the owner. It's beautiful in the fall with all the autumn colors. Will definitely rent again!

The Barn was just a short drive from the city but it felt like a world away. The ferry ride, rolling hills, farms, and landscape really make this area a special place to visit. The Barn is very well described and presented on the website. We couldn't have asked for better weather during our stay. The decks and patio are perfect place to soak up the countryside views and listen to nature. The hot tub worked perfectly and we enjoyed the star gazing from it. The house had everything that we needed for our stay. Susan living us fresh flowers and baked goods was a welcome surprise. We highly recommend staying at the Barn and look forward to coming back! We had a lovely time in Calhoun County due in large part to the amazing accommodations at the Red Barn. Everything was as described in the listing - all the instructions were clear and concise and Susan made it clear that she would always be available if we were to have any questions. The house is spacious yet cozy with everything you need for a stay regardless of length or season. The peaceful setting made for a relaxing (although too short) weekend get away while we visited with friends and family in Brussels. Thank you Susan and Mike!

The house was exceptionally clean, beautiful and included many essentials in the kitchen. Owners were communicative and helpful, with personal touches such as a handwritten note along with flowers and drink. We enjoyed the hot tub and the quietness of the location.

This was our third trip to the red barn, and it did not disappoint! We had a great time enjoying the beautiful home and views. An afternoon in Brussels and a day in Grafton were both full of adventure. Highly recommend!

The barn was just as described. Perfect! The hot tub worked and was great! There are neighbors on one side but not super close, so don't plan on sitting out there naked... 😂 The bed was comfortable. The house was clean. To s of things to do in the area!

We had a great time at the barn! Communication was easy and quick. Susan left us a welcome note with some snacks :) everything was very clean and pleasant! Very quiet area with beautiful scenery! The only downside of our stay was a neighborhood dog that was raoming around (calmly amd slowly :)). Supposedly he's a regular, but for those of us that arent comfortable with dogs, it put a damper on pur outdoor time/hot tub time. Otherwise, would definitely recommend!!

We loved this property. We (my siblings and I) get together yearly in different parts of the country, always with VRBO. This is the premier property that we have found. We loved soaking in the hot tub and playing pool in the "Man Cave." We highly recommend this site. The owners (Mike and Sue) were wonderful to work with. You cannot go wrong with this property!

I would definitely give our stay a five-star review. The property was so beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed the hot tub sitting there and relaxing and looking at the beautiful view. The Barn itself is beautifully decorated and staged. The property manager Susan was delightful and very thoughtful with her special touches she left for me and the kids. This property is a perfect place to unplug with your family and relax while you take in a beautiful setting.
