About this condo rental

Our apartment is large and finely finished with attention and care to every single detail. It is equipped with 3 comfortable double bedrooms and 3 private bathrooms and can accommodate up to 9 guests with comfort. The position is very central, close to the Vatican walls and the Vatican Museums; 100 meters from Piazza del Risorgimento and 8 minutes from San Pietro. Perfectly connected to the Metro "line A" (Ottaviano stop) and to the tram and bus station (Piazza Risorgimento). Place of meetings and sharing of ideas, the apartment is equipped with every comfort and is suitable for dynamic guests who love cinema, art, culture and of course, pleasure for hospitality. The obsessiveness for cleaning, for the order, for the comforts and for the details, make the apartment a strong point and confer an added value to the living room. Each room has a double bed, but some can accommodate even more guests comfortably with the addition of single beds. Two bedrooms include a sitting corner with a small table and seats. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi internet service (in fiber) and 42 "smart TV and pay TV (included). Each bathroom includes shampoo set, foam bath, shower cap and hairdryer. Guests will have access to every allowed part of the apartment and in particular to the common area of the kitchen where they can taste various blends of espresso, tea, herbal teas and / or have a snack with delicious delicacies. The kitchen is equipped with all types of utensils and allows guests to cook and eat meals independently or, on request, with chef at home. During your stay you will be welcomed on the check in and check out days and in the following days the c. d. "stop" that is, the daily cleaning and accommodation of the apartment, only if requested by guests, otherwise privacy will be respected. The change of the towel set takes place every 2 days. It reserves the right to establish a minimum number of nights in the periods of the main Italian holidays. The tourist tax for the Municipality of Rome is unfortunately mandatory. The Prati / San Pietro / Ottaviano district is one of the most historic in the city and rich in culture and art as well as home to the Vatican City. Quiet but "not sleeping" place to stay, it is full of historical monuments and activities for every taste: Vatican Museums (2 minutes), Sistine Chapel (10 minutes), Piazza del Risorgimento, St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Ada, Villa Panfili, and numerous shopping streets (such as Via del Corso and Via Cola di Rienzo) and shopping centers. The beautiful neighborhood is completed by the presence of numerous cinemas, theaters, trendy clubs, pubs, restaurants, taverns, trattorias, many of which have an agreement with us. The house is located 5 minutes on foot from the Metro "line A" (Ottaviano stop) and the tram and bus station in Piazza Risorgimento. Direct connections with the Foro Italico and the Olympic Stadium. It is possible to park the vehicle in one of the nearby paid garages or for free on the white stripes under the house.

There are many good reasons that this location and this apartment are a great choice. You are minutes away from the Vatican and minutes from the subway, and Emiliano your contact at the unit is excellent. Emiliano will provide excellent information about the subway, tourist spots, and the neighborhood. He even did our washing since the washing machine was broken, My concern is how the owner Gabriele threw a 2000 Euro increase at us at the last minute. I was bringing my family to Rome for the Christmas holidays. We found this unit on VRBO and paid the full amount listed on April 13th. Once this was done, I purchased our seven round-trip flights from Chicago to Rome arriving on December 23rd. On June 24th, I received a message from Gabriele that he had to increase the price due to taxes. I contacted VRBO and they said I could cancel and get a full refund. When I checked on other units there was no availability since bookings had been completed. We were stuck---pay a substantial increase or lose the $11,000 on our nonrefundable airline tickets. What is interesting is that I went to VRBO today and put in the same dates for 12/23 2024 to 1/1/ 2025 and the price is lower than what we originally booked and paid for. Be very cautious in dealing with Gabriele. He is unethical and his greed forced us to pay a substantial surcharge. I wish I could post screenshots of his emails to see how he took advantage of me.

From the time we checked in we were treated like royalty. Emiliano greeted us and let us drop our bags off early. He then took out a map and explained where everything was in relation to the property. He suggested local places to have some food while we waited for check in. When we returned we found the apartment stocked with coffee teas and delectable snacks as well as a bowl of fresh fruit. He was available at any time and restocked the items we had used.(fresh towels). A true five star experience.

Need to start by emphasizing how awesome Emiliano was during the check-in and throughout the stay. He was by far the best host we’ve had with VRBO. Very gracious and provided great information on local places to eat, and navigation tips for Rome. The location is also excellent. Neighborhood quiet, yet still close to Vatican, and mass transit. This is a listing with a lot of personality. However, there were several issues that detracted from the stay. The washing machine was not working, the WiFi went out several times. Emiliano was able to re-set it the first time, but it was not functional on our last day. If I had looked closely at the photos, it should have been evident that there was not really a common seating area for evening conversation, etc that accommodated 6 adults, but we ended up hanging out in the room with the bunk beds. There is construction going on the external part of the building with scaffolding overlying some of the windows, but that was no big deal. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in an excellent location The restaurant downstairs was great, but the one on the corner not so much!

We loved the location and the apartment was very accommodating for our family of five. There is currently construction in the front of the property but we didn’t find it to be a big problem. We had a great stay! Grazie!
