About this house rental
Located in Seattle, this attractive house for £165 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The space This home has it all: modern amenities, a quiet location, and proximity to all that Seattle has to offer. All furnishings and housewares are new and include comfy bedding and towels, furniture, and appliances. The living areas are spread over three levels. The entry level is the main living area. This open concept space has a chef's kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. This flows directly to the dining area which includes 3 stools at the breakfast counter, and a dining table that seats 8 and expands to accommodate more. Continuing from the dining room is the living room, furnished with plenty of seating, a nicely loaded cable TV package (HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc.), and a DVD player. There is a queen size sleeper sofa (with highest end sofa bed mattress on the market) for larger groups. Enjoy our collection of games (Scrabble, cards, etc.) in front of the gas fireplace. This floor also features a powder room. Up one flight of stairs is a floor with two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed and large closet. The second bedroom offers great flexibility. It is furnished with three beds, including a twin over full bunk bed (solid and sturdy --- not just for kids!) and a standalone twin bed. These two bedroom share a nearby full bathroom with dual sinks separated from the bathtub and toilet for added privacy. Continuing up to the top floor, you arrive at the full-floor master suite. This room has a king bed with dual nightstands. It also has a window air conditioning unit. There is a large balcony with views overlooking Madison Valley. (NOTE: Currently under rehab and not accessible) On a clear day, enjoy the Cascade Mountain Range in the distance. The master suite also has a large walk-in closet and a 5-piece spa bathroom with *jetted* soaking tub, his and her sinks, and a toilet separated by a door for privacy. Also in the home is a full-size washer dryer, a one-car parking garage, and lots of storage space. Each of our homes has been decorated to pay homage to a meaningful facet of our lives. This home has a Chinese theme, with tasteful and playful decor celebrating the abundance of guests we host from China throughout our portfolio of Seattle rental homes. AIR CONDITIONING Air conditioning is a real rarity in Seattle. This home does not have central A/C, but does have a small window unit air conditioner in the living room, the master bedroom and the second bedroom. Guest access Access to the home is provided without a cumbersome lock box or key exchange. Instead, you will choose a 4 digit code, and the electronic lock to the home will be programmed work your code for the duration of your stay. You will have access to the entire home, including garage parking for one car (and plentiful free street parking for additional vehicles). You also have a dedicated storage unit, as well as bicycle storage (both available with prior arrangement). Interaction with guests Your hosts, Andy and Lynne, live just down the block. We are here to welcome you and help you with any of your needs during your stay. We are happy to offer you advice for sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. Guests will receive, in advance, our comprehensive homemade visitors' guide to Seattle, packed with our personal recommendations for dining, activities, and much more. Do you plan to cook during your stay? By special advanced arrangement (depending on availability), we will fulfill your grocery list and have your home stocked for your arrival. The neighborhood This home is central to everything Madison Valley has to offer: great restaurants, parks, hiking, supermarkets, day spas, and more. Your hosts made Madison Valley their home when settling in Seattle 5 years ago... and haven't looked back since. We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington. Once you have worked up your appetite, enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ("Little Paris") has to offer. In addition to French gems, try our favorite tapas restaurant or the best Japanese food east of Tokyo. Take your morning coffee in one of numerous bakeries. Or opt for Thai, pan-Asian, craft pizza, Tex-Mex or more. Our home provides easy access to Downtown (Pikes Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Great Wheel), Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum), South Lake Union (MOHAI), University of Washington, and Capitol Hill. All are accessible by car, bus (numerous bus lines a few blocks from home), or for the adventurous, by foot. If all of this touring (and eating) has you tired, pamper yourself with a visit to a day spa or nail salon. There are several of each within a few blocks of home, and we are happy to point you in the right direction. There isn't a lot of floor space and some of the details weren't exception but it was a pleasant stay!

Great location; quiet neighborhood; very spacious: beds comfortable; maneuvering into the garage was a challenge (we heeded a larger vehicle) - on street parking available but sometimes scarce with residential parkers.
Walls could use a fresh coat of paint. 2nd floor bathroom window should be covered for privacy
All in all we thought it was a 7/10.

Our group really enjoyed staying here. The location was perfect for our needs and the hosts were very attentive and communictive.

Communication was great and nice that offers early and late check out even if charge is pretty hefty! Was nice to not have to do the laundry, garbage and other cleaning since charged a large cleaning fee!

The house was spacious, the kitchen and living area had plenty of room for our family and the neighborhood was great!!

We had 5 in our party and this place was comfortable. We came to Seattle to tour for a couple days and then hop on a cruise ship. Quiet neighborhood with restaurants and grocery stores close by. Seattle is beautiful but it also has a lot of hills so be prepared to hike a bit if you're going out on foot. Easy to pick up an Uber or Lyft to get anywhere else. We'd stay there again if/ when we come back.

This property is well located in the east Capitol Hill area. Conveniently situated walkable to the grocery store and nearby restaurants. I’d recommend it to those wanting visit the Seattle area. Very Clean and organized rental.

This is a great property in a quiet neighborhood, centrally located to many different sights, restaurants and activities. Good access to downtown and Capitol Hill, Madison Park, Madrona and more. Our family of four (8 and 6 year old boys) had a very comfortable stay. The hosts provide a ton of great information and are very communicative and helpful.

We stayed here while attending our daughter’s graduation from UW. Nice little place for our group. The area is fantastic- short walk to restaurants and grocery. This place was clean and kept up nicely. Highly recommend it!

Location couldn’t have been better. Plenty of space to relax after exploring the area. Close proximity to excellent places to grab coffee, food, and drinks.

Did not like the parking, garage was a bit too tight.

Booked this place for my wife to get away with amber sister and cousin - overall very comfortable place within nice amenities and the big plus is the neighborhood - close to the arboretum and some nice restaurants and coffee shops. Really enjoyed the stay. The only negative if any is that the garage and access to it was very tight !!

This property is amazing close to everything a very nice safe clean environment, friendly neighbors with easy access, Lynne is easy to get ahold of and the house was emasculated, would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends

The bed broke the minute we sat on it. Held together with duct tape. Two smoke detectors were beeping. The house heater barely worked.

Owners very attentive. Nice central district 3 bedroom town house was perfect for my sons, dil, and a friend for a carefree weekend in Seattle. Quiet neighborhood. Tight parking. Close to everything.

This property has so much potential, the bones are great and the neighbourhood is fantastic, unfortunately the rest of our experience did not live up to expectations, particularly given the high cost per night.
This property has not received any care or attention in a significant period of time. There are a number of areas that need to be improved/fixed.
The bed in the master bedroom had a large dip in the middle of the mattress, it looked as though the entire underneath of the bed was broken. This meant that the bed was unusable, resulting in my parents sleeping in the second bedroom, leaving myself and my partner in bunk beds (lucky we booked a three bedroom house for two couples, so that we had a backup).
The towel rack in the master bathroom would not hold a towel, it would fall to the ground the moment a towel was hung.
The handle on the kettle was missing a screw at the front, which was a burn hazard when you poured boiling water into a mug.
The shower curtain in the second bathroom was covered in mould and smelled dank and musty.
The carpets were covered in dark stains and the walls were covered in scratches.
One of the bedside lights in the second bedroom was inoperable.
We reported all of these issues to the owner via text (as requested) in the morning after the first night of our stay. We received no response. In the afternoon of the same day, we then received an email asking how our stay was. We re-shared the same information, and again received no response.
We finally heard back in the evening and were offered a move to another house nearby as a solution. At this point, we were already out for dinner at a restaurant so it was too late to move, further we had only one night remaining, so this was not an appropriate solution. When we advised that it was too late to move, we did not hear from the owner again.
In addition to the above challenges we experienced during the stay, there's also two other items pre-stay that were unpleasant. The owners make you sign a strongly worded and lengthy contract, which you are reminded of multiple times (addressing things about noise, no visitors etc.), the wording and constant reminders of such meant that we could not relax during our stay for fear of breaking a rule. If you break a rule, the owners would then not return the hefty deposit they take. Further, in the 48 hours leading up to our arrival I received 5 emails and a text message which was simply too much communication.

We had a fine time. Cooking supplies sparse but adequate. Beds nice. Lots of stairs. Patio not really ready for hanging out on.

The houses surrounding is felt like something out of a fairy tale with all the flowers and cute houses.
The house was perfect for us, plenty of space.
The hills are steep in Seattle, so you will need to be fearless driving up and down and parking was easy to find around the corner as we had a very large vehicle to park.
The hosts were awesome, great communicators and helpful and very responsive.

Perfect location to see the sights in Seattle! Close to great restaurants, downtown, zoo etc. comes with a garage parking spot so we brought our car (compact cars only will fit in garage)

Our experience with Lynn and Andy was very good. We had to switch properties last minute due to nothing we could control. There was a problem with our original booking. However Lynn and Andy moved us seamlessly and it caused us no hassle. The one downside is this property has no street frontage and is really hard to locate in spite of directions and a map. But I would stay there again.

Great location, easy check in, clean house and great communication. Will rent again next time I'm Seattle.

Very good location, close to downtown Seattle. Property owners had great communication and was ready to assist with anything we might need. Property/house was well equipped. Nice neighborhood.

Townhouse was spacious, great location. Home binder was so useful pointings to us to local Great restaurants. Garage a big plus. Loved the gas fireplace. And the views of the Cascades.

The townhouse was nice. Top floor master suite bath was spectacular. Kitchen was large and adequately equipped for general prep but not gourmet cooking. Neighborhood was quite and calm. Nearby restaurants were amazing. Parking was a big challenge due to driveway layout and steeeeeep hill for street parking.

The house was well stocked and very comfortable, in a convenient location. From the moment we booked, the hosts were accessible and responsive. We will certainly return should we need to spend time in Seattle again! Highly recommend.

Essentially a great visit.
We were very comfortable and the home was really great for 4 adults. We found the location really easy for a base to explore all parts of Seattle.
Garage was unusable with our Chrysler van due to tight access and difficult maneuvering but it was easy to park on John Street where there was always a spot available. Parking on 25th was rarely open.
Lack of access to third floor deck was sorely missed as it was under repair. We had anticipated evenings under the stars.
Owners were super accessible and responsive. Well equipped kitchen, great pantry storage. Due to Covid we ate mostly at home and it was easy to cook and dine.
We would stay again.

When we arrived at late afternoon we could not gain entry because the cleaning crew said they need more time. We could not park in the garage because it was impossible to maneuver into.. it is in a corner next to a wall under the condo and is tiny. Street parking is not plentiful, we parked 2 blocks away after circling the area.
We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend, the hottest days ever recorded in Seattle. Window AC was only in living space and one of 3 bedrooms. The one in the living space was comically small and darn near worthless.
The condo itself was nice but the outdoor spaces as depicted in the listing photos were unusable: top deck was torn apart and front yard had one filthy chair.
There were many needed repairs inside (broken window shade, broken towel rack, missing light bulb in closet, stair carpet dirty, tv remote with dead battery, second floor bathroom smelled of urine, living room smelled of BO…)
TV has no access to Netflix or any premium channels. We watched reruns of StarTrek.
Location was good(except for parking) and manager was available but we did not ask that all the things be fixed because we were trying to enjoy or time.
The most vexing thing is that these identical complaints were posted about a month before we arrived. Foolishly we thought some of them would have been rectified.

We had a lovely stay in Seattle. Recommend this home!

Close to downtown if you have a rental. Parking in garage can be tricky. Place is clean. Kitchen works well for my family of 4. I think this place would work well up to 6 people.

We had a fun time in Seattle. Loved the waterfront, T-Mobile BB stadium, and the Lake Washington beach options. Space Needle is not just some tourist trap from the 1960’s. It is truly a can’t miss for any trip to Seattle.
The house was in an area that was consistently within 2-5 miles of most of the Seattle attractions. In actuality, with how hilly and downtown much of Seattle is, it was usually a 15 minute drive. Certainly doable.
Do not expect easy access to parking at this location. There is a tiny garage available on property. Everything else is street parking in a very busy neighborhood. If you are ok getting creative or walking to parking, you’ll be ok..
The back “rooftop” balcony is in disrepair with really nothing for seating. We thought it would be cool so we were disappointed.
Lynne could not be more responsive and supportive. It was great to work with her and we would welcome it in the future!

Near everything. Cute neighborhood. Owner was easy to communicate with. Great stay!

This is not the normal review for me, but I think some honest feedback is needed. First , “No Cancellation Policy” and secondly the lengthy and very “legal” Rental Agreement. In the current environment (COVID) I can understand the cancellation policy, it is just not usual with VRBO for me. The Rental Agreement must have grown from some bad experiences with previous customers but if you ask me to sign a legally binding agreement then you need to live up to your side of the agreement, which I do not think you did.My observations: The carpets on the stairwells were dirty from wear and stained, especially from the garage to the first floor and from the first to the second floor. The “sun deck” on the third floor was not at all as advertised. The wood deck was removed and stacked on the roof, a blue tarp was spread on the floor and the furniture was dirty and broken down. We could not even go on to the deck to enjoy the afternoon / evening weather, which was fabulous while we were there. The furniture on the first floor was tired and in need of help. Loose joints on chairs, stools and tables. Cushions warn down and misshapen. Trim around the fireplace broken and missing. The front garden was dirty and it was hard to understand what belonged with our unit and that of the next door neighbor. The pictures presented of the unit not accurate. The garage was a surprise, the size of the space was fine but anything other than a small vehicle would be seriously in trouble maneuvering into the space. I'm a pretty good driver but even I had issue getting a RAV4 into the garage without several tries. Once inside the space also had broken furniture and paint cans along one wall, not what I would expect. The issue of communication with the landlord is touted as a strong point and they were accommodating on early check-in. But personal means “text” response quickly not voice communication. We called twice with issues and received no voice response but a text was responded to immediately. I guess I'm a little old school and like to talk to people. The last issue was the audio / visual situation. There was only one TV in the house, on the first floor. No TV in the master bedroom, 2 level above, was an inconvenience. Two sets of stairs to watch the morning news was a little much. Also, I could not find a way through the Direct TV APP or DVR (which I could not get to come on) to access Prime or Netflix with my own account. I found the whole set up lacking.

This was a great place for us to stay, close to many sights like the Pike's Place Market. The beds were extremely comfortable. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs, the garage is impossible to get into, and the TV only has cable (not a smart tv with netflix/disney+/etc).
