Very pleasant stay in a simple but well maintained guesthouse

The staff are very helpful. Guesthouse well located in Musanze town. Full breakfast very tasty, perfect before starting off a long day hike. It was a pleasant stay for an affordable price

Only the bathroom could be better. The water was not very hot.

Staff was nice, breakfast was good. Lovely garden.

Unfortunatelly our stay was not that nice. They did not know about our booking (and also were not able to check it, when we arrived!?) The room we booked was not free anymore and they just had the dorm or a singleroom left. As the bed was big enough, we choosed the singleroom. The room was abit shabby, dirty linen and bed, mosquitonet had alot of holes, no hot water and the cold water was just a very little amount.

Superb

Service was great. Convenient location very close to the station. Comfortable and spacious rooms.

Cleanliness could be improved, especially in the shared bathroom.

Very enjoyable and would come back again to stay

The the place was really close to the city so everything was easily assessable. The staff were really helpful to arrange transportation to volcano national park and back as well arranged for us rides to go back home. Would love to give a shout out to Peter and Peace who helped us a lot and made everything easier for us when we stayed there. 100% recommend to stay at this place.

one one washroom shared between 5 rooms so in the morning it gets a little hectic but it definitely works out at the end.

Basic accommodations with great location

The location was great, in the middle of town. Overall the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. They even prepared breakfast early before gorilla tracking and and different times for group when we weren't all doing the same schedule.

Water pressure was not good. One staff had a problem because we got our own driver instead of using one recommended by the guest house, but it all turned out fine in the end.

Good place to stay and a great location. Amazing breakfast and the staff are friendly and very helpful. They helped me with a transfer of funds from my previous accommodation due to an overpayment.

The hot water pressure is a little bit low.

Go with Gaspin

The stuff is great. Gaspin is the welcoming heart of the guesthouse. He is always so attentive, helpfull and carrying about his guests, trying to do everything for them to have a great stay.

Wonderful stay!

The guesthouse is really cosy, the staff amazing, breakfast delicious, wifi perfect and it is located in the center of Ruhengeri. We really enjoyed our stay and felt especially at home thanks to our host Jospin.

The walls of the room are quiet thin what makes it a bit noisy if people arrive late, leave early...

Warmly Host!!!

The most friendly and heartly Host on my whole east africa journey. He was trying to make me feel as comfotable as possible and helped me a lot. Also He Connected me to nice tourguides and helped me a lot to get the cheapest price for my Tour. From the Center only a few minutes by walking.

- nice and helpful staff - good breakfast - cold beer/coke always in a fridge - comfy bed with mosquito net - nice chillout zone outside

- hot water on 1 hour long request, water pressure for shower on another request - quite noisy area in the morning especially - only one electric plug in a room which does not work well (cable falling out) - no towels - you have to always ring a bell to get inside the property and wait for the staff to open (who might be busy), that can be unpleasant for someone (ladies especially) waiting outside in the evening

Nice people and atmosphere

You should visit Amahoro Guest house for the lovely staff and an amazing breakfast. Location was also very nice and convenient close by the bus station and tons of restaurants with nice common space to hang out. Sweety the dog is a plus point too.

You shouldn’t visit Amahoro Guest house for the facilities, e.g. the bathrooms are very old and not really functioning well. I booked the standard room including shower but it was almost impossible to wash hands in the room as the tap water didn’t work. Apparently that’s an issue that is well known for a long time but the management is not really interested in solving the issue.

nice, hospitable budget stay

It’s located near by the busstation and a lot of restaurants, shops and ATM’s. Which was very convenient. But the best thing was Thomas, who runs everything at the guest house. He’s a great guy and very helpful. I would also like to give a special mention to Sweety, who is truly the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet.

The accommodation itself is exactly what you can expect for this price: nothing too fancy. It’s basic, but clean and has everything you need.

If it wasnt for Thomas we would not have stayed!

The shining star or this place is Thomas!❤️ He cannot do enough for you. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I felt bad for him that he has to deal with the complaints of this establishment because the owner doesn't manage the maintenance issues. Breakfast was great! If it wasnt for thomas we would have left.

The place is dirty - no doubt about it! The shared bathroom was pretty bad. The beds smelt like "people". There wasnt much hot water and the water pressure was bad. I had a triple bed room and only one of the beds had an actual mattress. The others were like prison cell mats. The room was cheap which was the saving grace. But my friends stayed in en suite rooms which were not worth the money. No water coming from taps. Zero shower pressure. For £35 a night Greg can afford to fix that!

Pleasant

Innocent and Angel are very welcoming and helped us organise the activities we had planned (including gorilla trekking). They have created a lovely atmosphere where guests can be feel relaxed, at home and can socialise together - we met some lovely people whilst staying there. They were very flexible and easy-going, allowing us to change our plans and add an extra night at short notice. Breakfasts were big! The wifi was very good. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The beds are quite short, and whilst the sheets and duvet were really comfortable and clean, the mattress was really hard. The bathroom shower didn't have great pressure so showering was difficult.

Lovely guestohouse in centre of town

Everything, Bruce who runs it was so helpful and informative. we stayed in a room with shared bathroom and all facilities were good and the breakfast in the garden in the morning was excellent.

Verry good for a short weekend in Musanze.

Breakfast was Nice and we could even get it verry early before leaving for our trip to mount bisoke. At request, lunch was also prepared in lunchpackages to take on the trip. Staf was verry friendly and helpfull.

The bathroom door was broken and could not close, there was no water in the shower but sitting in the bathtub you could take a cold shower even though the water wasn't coming out verry strongly .
