The home is an excellent home to set up a "work from home" situation. Have your morning coffee on the north patio and relax in the evenings on the East facing portal. Most of our wonderful restaurants are available for outside dining and curbside pick-up. Enjoy the mountains on your days off. The space has excellent WIFI and desk/tables for working at home. You will find Hacienda de Encina's living room a great space to catch up with family as you relax around the wood burning stove or with the kiva fireplace for Santa Fe charm. When you are not enjoying Santa Fe’s many excellent restaurants, you will find Hacienda de Encina’s fully equipped kitchen, dining room and patio a wonderful alternative. On summer evenings or mornings, relax and enjoy the private, enclosed patio with BBQ. The large East facing portal is wonderful for watching rainbows, rainstorms and rabbits. Explore Santa Fe History! This classy traditional Santa Fe adobe is owned by me, the granddaughter of the original owners, a multigenerational northern New Mexico family. This beautiful home was built in the 1960s by a prominent Court of Appeals Judge from Las Vegas, New Mexico and his lovely wife with roots in Taos, New Mexico. The home was treasured as “Grandmother and Papa’s house”. The Spiess family was instrumental in the founding of the state of New Mexico and the constitution of New Mexico. This home was perfect for our family's Spring Break getaway.. It is conveniently located with easy access to both the Santa Fe Plaza and Canyon Road. Kitchen was very sell supplied - we didn't want for a thing. Definitely recommend this house and its owner.

This house was perfect for our family trip from Indiana ! We had 5 adults traveling together and this place had lots of room. We also hosted a dinner for family who live in Santa Fe and all easily fit around the dining table. We had everything we needed and having the extra things in the kitchen like spices and condiments was very helpful. The location was good for us but it wasn’t within walking distance of the Plaza or anything really. We didn’t need that so it was not a big deal for us. There was grocery, shopping, and the Plaza within a short drive. And the interstate was close too. We’d definitely rent again if we come back with a larger group!

Our friend group of seven loved the house and the roominess. It was the perfect size for a larger group. We all had plenty of room and we’re very satisfied with all the amenities. The location was perfect for getting to slopes. Karen was also amazing. She answered all questions and was super helpful. We would stay here again.
