Welcome to Casa Azul, between two of the oldest and most typical neighborhoods in the Center of Lisbon: ALFAMA and MOURARIA Casa Azul offers you an exceptional view on several viewpoints of the city center, it is close to BAIXA and a stone's throw from Castelo de São Jorge. Casa Azul is a duplex apartment located on the 3rd floor of a typical Mouraria building, and completely refurbished but without elevator. Its calm will assure you a total rest. It has 3 bedrooms combining Portuguese tradition and modernity, with double beds. All linens are provided. Hydroalcoholic solution - Antibacterial wipes Additional handkerchiefs and rolls of toilet paper Antibacterial household cleaners for vacationers The kitchen is fully equipped: oven and hob, washing machine, dishwashing machine, microwave, fridge, small appliances, dishes…. You can also relax in the lounge (music, television, videos, books, etc.), where you can dine or have breakfast as a family. You will find maps, flyers of the main tourist sites to visit, need to go to the tourist office. Casa Azul is less than 5 minutes' walk from public transport: tram No. 28 (the famous Lisbon electric train), metro MARTIN MONIZ, green line, going to CAIS DO SODRE station (Metro , bus, tram, trains for the rest of the country and the beach, boats for crossing the Tagus, walks and cruises, all types of rental companies…). You are immediately in the heart of the Alfama district like that of Mouraria to visit the typical shops. In 15 minutes on foot you will be at the National Pantheon and at the Feira da Ladra, the famous Lisbon flea market, and in the evening you will find the typical Portuguese restaurants with their fado singers. Only 10 minutes on foot are necessary to reach the Baixa district in the city center which will lead you to the shopping district of Chiado and that of Bairo Alto, one of the lively nocturnal districts to distract you in the evening. Casa Azul, available for couples, family, friends ... we study all your requests to satisfy them! Casa Azul is declared to the Alojamento Local service of Lisbon. We will ask you to provide us with certain information regarding your identity, date and place of birth, as well as your place of residence. The apartment does not have air conditioning at this time.

Nice layout and neighborhood. Very clean. Three material issues:
1. No heat and it was in the 40s at night;
2. Second bathroom shower not usable because the drain was clogged and it would flood almost immediately; and
3. One of the bedrooms had a terrible sewer smell and we had to keep that door shut.

Unfortunately during our stay in Lisbon there was also the World Youth Day. And so there was very noisy stage on Martim Mortiz place until late in the night. Despite of that it was quite quiet in the night. The appartement is located near the city, so the ways are quite short. But on the other side the quarter itself is dirty and very noisy on the day.
The rooms were clean. In the appartement was everything we needed. Only the WLAN credentials were wrong. We will send the right ones.

Great location to everything you can imagine doing. My only caution is the upstairs is for the shorter version human beings there was a lot of head hitting on the ceiling’s because they are slanted along with the shower but other than this, I would recommend it and I would try to come back myself. The neighborhood was so welcoming to us, they felt like family by the time we left. Thanks for our stay.

We loved our stay at Casa Azul. Fantastic location to see Alfama, Rossio Square, Commercial Square, Castelo de St Jorge, the trams and many other sights and restaurants. The apartment had everything needed for a young family and there were great views across Lisbon from the bedrooms. There was no hot water when we arrived however after some adjustments to the boiler in the upstairs bathroom cupboard, we enjoyed lovely hot showers.
We recommend a stay at Casa Azul!

The place was great. The only problem was lack of hot water. The stairs from the street to the 3rd floor are very narrow. If you have mobility issues it could be a problem. Obviously the owners have no control over this .

It was very nice accept the one shower hose was broken, but when we returned 2 weeks later it was fixed. Only complaint was was the hot water. No matter when we tried to shower the water temp was just slightly warm. This happened both times. Owners were good to work with. They just need to turn the temperature higher.

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The location is convenient, but it is up the hill from Baixa, the main tourist area, and it's on the top floor, without an elevator. 10-minute walk to Martim Moniz Metro stop.
The bedrooms are comfortable, with two on the main floor and another on the second floor. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are convenient and comfortable.
There was no air conditioning, and it was warm as the temperatures outside were well in the upper 30s or low 40s. Small fans help circulate air, and the windows allow for a cross breeze, but it could get hot at night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommended it for others.

Property had everything we needed for our stay. Close to plenty of shops and restaurants with a supermarket close by. Only problem was apartment is on the top floor so really hot at night time when trying to sleep 😴. Just not used to the heat coming from Scotland!!Area was full of character and plenty of history and within walking distance of all tourist attractions. Just be prepared to climb plenty of hills!

Lovely Lisbon
Property had everything we needed for our stay. Close to plenty of shops and restaurants with a supermarket close by. Only problem was apartment is on the top floor so really hot at night time when trying to sleep 😴. Just not used to the heat coming from Scotland!!Area was full of character and plenty of history and within walking distance of all tourist attractions. Just be prepared to climb plenty of hills!

Bon séjour
L'appartement qui a été refait récemment est spacieux confortable agréable et pratique, conforme aux photos et descriptif.
3 bémols cependant:
L'installation électrique est à revoir car on ne peut pas utiliser 2 appareils en même temps dans la cuisine et il manque une cafetière.
L'environnement n'est pas aussi calme que cela du fait de la présence d'un bar juste en face qui ferme heureusement à 23h et d'une cuisine communautaire dans l'immeuble d'à côté qui organise parfois des soirées nocturnes dans la cour derrière l'immeuble.
L'étage supérieur de l'appartement est assez mal isolé en cas de forte chaleur. Une climatisation serait la bienvenue.

This apartment was exactly what we needed and much larger than most that we viewed. It is traditional but well maintained and freshly decorated. It is up a hill but an easy walk down to Martim Moniz Square where there is a Metro Station (Green Line) located. From here you can access the popular areas of the city quite easily. We didn't get to meet Brigida Maria but her directions through VRBO re check in were perfect. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

This apartment was exactly what we needed and much larger than most that we viewed. It is traditional but well maintained and freshly decorated. It is up a hill but an easy walk down to Martim Moniz Square where there is a Metro Station (Green Line) located. From here you can access the popular areas of the city quite easily. We didn't get to meet Brigida Maria but her directions through VRBO re check in were perfect. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great Location and Property
An ideal location when staying in Lisbon. It's an easy ten-minute walk to Rossio square and other major Lisbon attractions. The apartment was in lovely shape with three great bedrooms. There was a slight language barrier but the host were very active at responding. Overall we had a wonderful stay and amazing time in Lisbon.

Super séjour
Appartement très bien équipé, bien agencé, à la décoration moderne et où on trouve les produits de première nécessité à disposition. Le quartier calme et chaleureux avec boulangerie et ses petits pains excellents.

Staying near Porto
The apartment is well appointed and very clean. The communications with the owners were prompt and helpful. We were extremely well received and very much enjoyed our stay. It is a bit away from downtown Porto but a 10 Euro cab ride was preferable to looking for parking. We would stay here again!!

Joli appartement
Je dois dire que l'appartement est très joli, situé au 3ème étage sans ascenseur (ce qui est maintenant précisé dans l'annonce, mais qui n'était pas le cas quand nous avons loué et qui est important à signalé surtout quand on vient avec une personne de 81ans)
Cet appartement n'a pas de balcon (ce qui est annoncé dans l'annonce, il ne faut pas confondre une porte fenêtre avec un garde corps avec un balcon, cela n'est pas du tout la même chose)
L'arrivé s'est fait avec une personne fort charmante, mais attention elle ne parle pas ni français ni anglais, ainsi prévoyez votre smartphone avec reverso pour se comprendre.
La personne avec laquelle on échange sur internet écrit très bien français mais on ne peut pas la joindre par téléphone, dommage, cela aurait été bien utile pour passer un meilleur séjour, et surtout je me suis permis de la contacter pour lui dire quelques points négatifs en vue d'améliorer l'annonce sur le site et en vu de faire attention à quelques détails (comme manque de papier toilette, douche à l'étage avec les joints moisis, table du salon salle avec des miettes de pain à notre arrivé...etc) bref rien de bien grave mais au vu du prix de la location cela aurait été appréciable ne pas trouve ce genre de détail et la seule chose qui m'a été répondu à mon grand étonnement c'est que je suis un insatisfait, que même dans un un hôtel 5 étoiles je n'aurai pas été content et j'aurai quelques choses à redire, et elle m'a même dit que je devrai relire comme il faut l'annonce car tout été écrit comme il faut (hors elle a rajouter le détail du 3ème étage et du balcon après que j'en ai fait la remarque), j'ai même failli être accuser de vol du cable HDMI de la télè alors que nous n'avons pas regarder la Télè et que j'ai signalé qu'il manquait !
Bref, joli appartement mais manque un brin de courtoisie lors des écahanges, car cela été pour rendre service et rien de plus.

La entrada en el portal fue traumatica, parecia un inmueble medio abandonado. Luego dentro del apartamento era otra cosa, ya que este estaba bastante bien y moderno.
La propietaria me dijo que cuando nos fueramos dejara las llaves dentro de la caixa, y yo que no se portugues entendi dentro de la casa, eso ha supuesto quedarme sin la fianza depositada, ya que comenta que ha tenido que llamar a un cerrajero, lo cual me extraña ya que no creo que no tuviera mas llaves.

Alles bestens
Wie bereits mit der Sternenwertung angegeben war alles bestens. Das Stiegenhaus ist denke ich ortsübliche ziemlich eng und steil. Immer nur einen Koffer tragen. Große Menschen sollten auf der Stiege in der Wohnung und im oberen Bereich den Kopf einziehen. Vielen Dank an Azul für das nette Willkommen und die Infos.

Nicely updated apartment
Great central location . Be aware that it is an uphill walk with your luggage from the metro station and then 3 flights of stairs once you're in the building. We were a group of 5 and were comfortable in the 3 bedrooms. The bathrooms have been beautifully renovated. The apartment was initially hot but cooled down nicely in the evenings for sleeping. We'd happily stay there again.

Beautiful place, great location
Very clean, great location, and well provisioned. Helpful detailed information provided initially. However we had some communication challenges, getting questions answered but this may have been due to English/ Portuguese language barriers.

We really enjoyed the apartment. One day it was super hot outside and the unit does not have air conditioning, but other than that, it has all the emenities.

Peut convenir pour 6 personnes, mais une des chambres conviendrait plus à des enfants que des adultes. 2 salles de bain bien entretenues et fonctionnelles. Cuisine bien équipée. Très belle localisation et plusieurs marchés à proximité. La propriétaire répond très rapidement à toute demande d'information.
Notes: Quartier avec des pentes fortes. Stationnement de rue difficile mais il y a un stationnement public à environ 300 - 400 mètres.

Lovely long weekend in Lisbon old town in Alfama. Well worth booking a taxi to bring you straight to the apartment from the airport and we booked the return journey too - great value for money and avoided long queues. The apartment was in a fabulous part of old town Lisbon and once we had worked out our bearings, in easy reach of shops, restaurants and most trams. We decided to visit the Monastery in Belem - easy journey using tram 15. If you get a joint ticket with the museum you can avoid the long queue to get in. The patisserie from 1837 just up the main street, is well worth a visit for the Pasties de nata's! Castel de Jorge in Alfama is ok to walk to even though up hill to see and visits all the view points and shops en-route. We felt tram 28 was a disappointment however as a very long wait and very busy to get a seat. Can get on at any stop but the route not clear. Good to see the really steep, narrow hills, so if you do have the patience....... Moorish walk in Alfama was lovely but can get very steep- great to get a bit lost and find a bar/ coffee shop especially later when the Frado music starts.Wonderful food in and off the main squares with a great food tent just off Rossio square well worth a visit. Research the restaurants and go in good time as fill up fast and no booking often.Wonderful break in a diverse city.

tres bel appartement dans centre historique de LISBONNE
NOUS AVONS PASSE 6 JOURS DANS L'APPARTEMENT DE LA CASA AZUL à Lisbonne. Son emplacement est idéalement situé pour les visites touristiques.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le confort, l'amènagement, la déco de ce grand appartement de 3 chambres, sans doute "repensé" par un architecte d'intérieur.
Seul bémol, pour notre cas personnel, le dénivellé pour y parvenir. Agês de 76 et 74 ans, mais en bonne forme physique, nous avons quand même trouvé un peu pénible la montée ! Mais on s'y fait....
Renato RIBEIRO nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse et a été de bon conseil.
Lisbonne est une ville un peu magique et on pense y revenir.

Schöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage
Die Wohnung ist modern und schön eingerichtet, hat einen tollen Ausblick, ist sehr gut ausgestattet, gepflegt und sauber und liegt wunderbar zentral (was die Parkplatzfindung jedoch nicht unerheblich erschwert, mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln jedoch sehr gut zu erreichen).
Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr angenehm, gute Vorabinformation, sehr schnelle Rückantworten, super freundlich und entgegenkommend. Vielen Dank!
Auch wenn die eine oder andere Ameise durch das eine oder andere Zimmer läuft, kann ich die Wohnung ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Von dem äußeren Erscheinungsbild des Hauses und des Treppenhaus sollte man sich nicht abschrecken lassen.
