I warmly welcome you to my home located in the midst of Northern Wisconsin's last remote wilderness area. This home is centrally located between Manitowish Waters, WI, Mercer, WI, Hurley, WI, and Wakefield, MI. My home is a 6700 sq. ft. custom built log home from lodge pole pines from western British Columbia. The location is on a tranquil crystal clear lake and is within a scenic 20-minute drive to all the major ski hills in the Hurley/Ironwood/Wakefield area, have direct access to hundreds of miles of snowmobile/ATV trails, and near many breathtaking waterfalls (APRIL AND MAY ARE THE BEST WATERFALL VIEWING TIMES). I’m excited for you to enjoy your stay at this special place. As for things to do, the list is endless. This home is designed for a relaxing retreat, a couples getaway, fun with friends, family gatherings, special events, or for recreation such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, road biking, mountain biking, fat tire biking, hiking, downhill skiing, world class cross-country skiing (skate and classic), snowshoeing, ATVing, snowmobiling, and waterfall hunting. It is within minutes to miles of groomed world class cross-country trails, walking trails, bike trails (connecting to neighboring towns/cities), and fabulous 5 star fine restaurants. Gorgeous log cabin, warm and inviting atmosphere. Thirty minute drive to ski at Powderhorn. Pretty view with many windows and deck overlooking the lake. Would love to come back in the summer!

This is by far the best vrbo we have ever had! Tammy was super sweet! The log cabin was so beautiful and the decor was absolutely amazing! She has everything you could ever need! The little details were just wonderful. So so happy we stayed here. Caught a lot of fish even right off the pier! We really would love to come back! It is truly a little slice of heaven!

Pictures don’t do this property justice. When you drive in you know you’ve arrived somewhere special. This real log home is not only beautiful but decorated to the nines. The owner had several personal messages for us and welcome gifts, including wine. We had butterflies in our stomach like we have just checked into a 5 star hotel. Just when you think it couldn’t get any better you step out onto the huge deck with stairs leading down to the water. The Loons were singing and a feeling of home swept over us. The owner, Tammy, is the consummate host and she went out of her way to ensure our stay was special and worry free. To say the house and overall experience were way beyond our expectations would be a huge understatement. Thank you, Tammy for sharing your home and hospitality with us.

We love everything about this beautiful and immaculately clean cabin. The lake is so beautiful and we fully appreciated the pontoon which is available to rent at a very reasonable price. The cabin was fully stocked with the basics and then some! The little chipmunks that came up to us on the back deck were adorable. We had some rain and after which there was the most beautiful rainbow we could see over Tammy’s cabin from the pontoon boat. Amazing! Memories made and time spent together priceless.

This house has it all! Everything from a Bluetooth speaker to a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate’s. You’re set to feel like you’re at home. This home is short drive to skiing and restaurants. We love this house as it’s one of a kind!

I am a repeat guest of this beautiful property. Tammy is a wonderful host. You will find no better individual to communicate with throughout the process. I absolutely love this lodge home. The sunsets are breathtaking and the nature interactions always fun. During this trip I met a very curious turtle near the dock. I had the opportunity to watch loons teaching a young one how to dive for food. Also, I had the joy of seeing some beautiful deer hanging out in the front yard and fire pit area too. Fishing was decent and I will continue to return for the elusive musky. A local VH on speaks very highly of the lake and the musky count. Plenty of largemouth bass and pan fish to keep you busy too. Whether you are taking the whole family or if you just need an escape yourself, this is the place for you. Don’t tell too many people though! ;)

Vacation of our dreams
Breathtaking property & immaculate home. So inviting with rustic charm & hospitality mixed with upscale amenities. This owner has thoughtfully considered every imaginable detail in her decor & preparation for her guests. A luxurious home for each season. We loved the loons on the lake & soaked up all the fresh air. Bass fishing ample right from the dock. Great family memories. We couldn't wait to book again !

Beautiful Secluded Getaway
Tammy’s home is just beautiful and exactly as pictured/described. We had a family of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and there was plenty of room to spread out. We got lucky and had a couple days in the 80s so we really got to enjoy the lake amenities. The paddle boards and kayak were great, but the Lilly pad was the hit of the weekend. We rented the pontoon which was really nice as well. Lots of great fishing for large mouth. Our family really enjoyed the property.
If you like off road biking, Winman bike trail near Manitowish was amazing, definitely worth bringing the bikes for!
Little Bohemian was our one night out for dinner and it was amazing! Definitely bring your appetite.
A few small negatives. The internet did not work the entire trip. For me it was a welcomed reprieve but others intended on doing some work. Also, while lovely how stocked the kitchen was, it also left very little room for our supplies. Last, it was almost off putting how much paperwork there was and waivers to sign. None of these reasons would stop me from renting again, but some areas that could be improved.
Tammy was wonderful to work with. Very responsive and even checked in while out of the country!!! She has everything in place for a great stay!

We were looking for snow, and we found it! The area is beautiful, with tons of snow and snow activities. The house is beautiful and comfortable. My only criticism is that it could use some brighter lighting!

Amazing 5 star all the way
This property was gorgeous, very spacious, extremely comfortable, and convenient to the activities we wanted to do. The property is within a 30 to 45 minute drive of cross country ski trails, snowmobiling rental and trails, and downhill skiing at big powderhorn or Indianhead/blackjack. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, etc. everything you need for cooking your own meals. We brought our skates and skated on the lake. Tammy is exceptional, extremely responsive. The whole process well organized. We had a wonderful time

If you are looking to disconnect this is the place for you! Lots of room to spread out and it has everything you would need. One of the nicer rentals we have stayed at and would highly recommend!
