Beautiful Full-Size Private Lakefront Gated Home with dock \/ boats
About this house rental
Our family's full-sized second home. It sleeps 14 people and would be great for small family reunions. You can watch and enjoy majestic eagles flying and fishing over the lake from any one of the 3 decks (upper and lower on the house, and one lakeside with attached dock. Pedal boat, 2 kayaks, rowboat, and canoe included. Firepit by the lake, lots of wood included. Fishing poles, golf clubs included, 2 bikes. Large lawn area in front and rear yards for your enjoyment. Weber gas grill on upper deck of house, with nearby umbrella table and extra chairs. Large hammock. Many blueberry bushes on property to pick during season. Modern kitchen, granite countertops, Large Jacuzzi tub in master bedroom. Large picture windows in bedrooms, living room, and dining room with amazing view of the lake. Kitchen fully equipped, ice maker, all cooking and serving utensils. 2 TV's, broadband wireless internet access, cable TV service, phone, air, piano. Large room over 2 car garage: Has 2 single beds, a full bed, and Single bed with pullout single, and large sectional sofa, and new full bath recently added. Finished basement has 2 single beds, full bath, 2 sofas, a TV, small library, extra chairs, 2 back doors to large lower deck with hammock and heavy duty wood and leather chairs/glass table set. Perennial gardens in front and back of house. Upper deck is off of living room and has a gas grill, umbrella glass table with many extra chairs, and fantastic view of lake. Air conditioned. Unfortunately, we don't have a beach, but a rocky shoreline and rocky, muddy bottom, so swimming from shore is difficult. WE REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHTS STAY YEAR ROUND. Contact Sullivan County Visitors Association Website for up to date information on the area, things to do, maps, etc. See the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts Website for their latest schedule of events, located adjacent to the original Woodstock '69 site, and their Woodstock museum.

My wife and I, our daughter, son in law and 7 grandchildren stayed for a week in Michael's home at the end of August. This was clearly the best rental ( out of 14) we have ever experienced.
Some of the pros: A box of tissues in every room (I know that sounds weird, but our last rental had none), lots of toilet paper, garbage bags, 2 refrigerators, lots of deck chairs, chairs by the beautiful and new fire pit, lots of fire wood, nice assortment of kayaks, canoe, row boat and peddle boat, lots of life vests, very clean place and beautiful hardwood floors. The TVs were simple to use ( some places we rented it was so complicated, we never watched) air conditioners in every bedroom, the most wonderful views of the lake, nice large upper deck, nice large lower deck, floating dock for fishing and to launch/tie up boats, storage for our things in the garage, great communication with Michael if we had a question, big clean Weber gas grill, extra folding tables available in garage, some interesting travel books available, lots of National Geographic magazines, lots of cabinets in the kitchen. Cons: None. We have already booked again for next year.

We loved this beautiful spacious home ! The lake is breathtaking and my daughter took the most amazing pictures of bald eagles. You can hear the wildlife and it’s so uplifting to spend time here. Stargazing at night and hiking at local parks during the day made this a fantastic way to reconnect with our adult children. The Museum at Bethel Woods is not to be missed . The local barbecue places were top notch. We played games and floated on the lake. We also caught a lot of fish right off the dock!! I highly recommend this home if you want to get away from it all! ( good internet if you need to check in too)

This is an excellent waterfront property on Swan Lake that offers excellent fishing grounds. Conveniently located right of the RT 17. House can accommodate a large group of people with spacious kitchen and large size bedrooms with plenty of room for everyone. Looking forward to plan your next family getaway at this place .

We were up there for the Equinox festival at Arrowhead Ranch again. Same reason we stayed last year. Again the house was fabulous. Stocked with things we didn’t even know we needed. The beautiful fire pit was a great addition to the yard. Can’t wait to come back again next year.

We were 6 children and 8 adults. There was enough room for everyone. The children loved the boats, the bunk room , the piano, and the fire pit. The children jump out of the boats and swam with their life jackets on in the lake. They turned the downstairs into there game room. My mom is 88, and with the help of her grandsons, came down to the fire pit each night. The grounds are perfect for Bocce, corn hole and hide and seek.
The view is amazing and the house is fully stocked with anything you could want. The family area is very large. We were able to all eat at the same time.(which doesn’t happen often). We saw many bald eagles, 3 bears, many blue heron, cranes and many deers. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

This property is absolutely perfect for a large family gathering. We were a smaller party but could really see how it would be perfect from small to large. The kitchen lacked for nothing nor did the rest of the house. Fantastic view from the decks. Beautiful home. Highly recommend.

Awesome views from the house and decks. Plenty of paddling options on property. We had more than enough room for everyone in our group. A short drive to Bethel Woods to see a show.

We were a family of 12 and had a wonderful time at Michael’s swan lake property. The home is very well equipped and had everything we needed. The kayaks, canoe and pedal boat were great fun on the lake. Michael is a very responsive host and made sure everything was ok, the description of the place is completely accurate. The property offers privacy and accessible to surrounding trails and attraction and close to the Woodstock museum. Would love to come back again!

Peaceful and beautiful
The property is amazing. The house has tons of space and the layout essentially encourages you to have a great time. The dock is convenient to use for swimming and kayaking, and the lake is nice and quiet.
We'd stay here again for sure.

Wonderful weekend
We really enjoyed the house and the amount of sleeping arrangements it offers. The boats are lots of fun and the fire pit was ideal for s’mores and campfire songs! We definitely plan on returning.

Wonderful lake front retreat
This is a fantastic vrbo for a large group that wants to spend some quality time by the lake. The house is large, with plenty of beds, various communal areas, and a gorgeous lawn on the lake. Highlights include the 4-burner gas grill on the deck (we used it almost every night given the size of our group, making dinner prep a breeze), the fire pit that seems newly installed, the three decks including a hammock, and of course the lake and dock (including a paddle boat and kayaks that we used throughout the week). While the water is a bit mucky, we had a great time on floats and in the boats that came with the house. A number of us also had a great time swimming, though I recognize it wasn't for everyone. Overall a great house for a great price, we're already talking about coming back again next year!

Serenity by the lake
This was our second time at Mike's lake house, and we love it. The views of the lake from nearly every room in the house are breathtaking. This place is the perfect escape from the city. Just don't reserve the place when I need it ;).

Mike's place on Swan Lake offers a large and beautiful place to gather with others and retreat. There are plenty of beds for a group. There were 8 of us, with more beds than we needed. It is located right on the lake, with a dock that goes out to the water. With three large common areas to gather as a group, it was excellent for break-out sessions on our retreat. Every evening, we gathered on the deck overlooking the lake and even saw an eagle. A wonderful location.

Great Lakehouse weekend getaway
I stayed here for the long weekend with a group of friends and we had a great time. The house was full equipped with everything you needed to thoroughly enjoy being out on the lake. Michael was very responsive. The house was a lot more spacious than we had anticipated. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

The house was great for large group lots of space. Great for boating.. Main issue is the swimming ability, really can walk into the water,. Extremely rocky, difficult to stand once you are in the water. Bring water shoes. Really not child friendly.

Everything about the cottage was excellent except the ability to swim and motorboat in the lake, which is very shallow and rocky. It would be perfect for people who don’t have those needs.

Perfect multi-family getaway
Lots of activities and amenities. Perfect getaway for a family reunion. Lots of room to spread out and fully stocked kitchen. Gorgeous lake views and waterfront access for boating and floating in the lake. We had a great week!

We chose this property which is less than an hour from home so our older kids could commute to and from their jobs. We would definitely rent this house in the future if Mike will have us!

This was a lovely place to share with family. Unbelievable lake views and the kayaking was fabulous. Very nice lakefront yard for our bocci ball and corn hole games! Communication with owner was fantastic!
