Amazing 5 Bedroom House that Sleeps 10, Near City Park!
About this house rental
Situated in New Orleans, this charming house for £484 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Summary Spacious 5 bedroom, 2 bath unit, new renovations, full kitchen, laundry, huge yard with fire pit! It's located on a very quiet street in Gentilly, 2 blocks away from Saint Bernard Street which is nearly a straight shot to the French Quarter. If you catch the lights just right, you can be there in about a 10 min drive with light traffic. The Space Unlike many places here, we have off street parking as well as plenty of street parking! A moderate-sized back yard with a nice back patio, a pergola with outside dining table, and an upper balcony - a very quiet neighborhood at night. This large house has four queen-sized beds and one full-sized bed that can sleep 2 per bed, limited to 10 guests by the City Ordinance. House Manual The house manual can be found on the coffee table. It has good information on what to do on check-in, check-out, TV/WiFi instructions, local restaurants and bars, and favorite New Orleans attractions. Use the AppleTV to access online entertainment. To use the HD antenna, be sure to select TV as the source, and then you can flip through the local channels. For AppleTV, be sure to select HDMI 1, then you should see the main AppleTV menu with all the online programs to choose from, i.e. YouTube, Netflix, HBO, etc. If you have a cable subscription, you can access those programs through your provider, if not you can at least still see all their free programming. I have had very few inquiries about the TV as most people come to NOLA for the attractions, food, music, and amazing entertainment! Guest Access You have access to the complete unit, 5 bedrooms, a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The property has a keyless door entry. We will send you the code the night before or morning of your arrival. If we are unable to greet you at the property, please use the keyless entry to let yourself in and make yourself at home. When entering, press the 4-digit code we will give to you before arrival. You will hear the motor engage, you have 5 seconds to unlock the deadbolt. Turn lock knob away from the door entrance, you should feel the deadbolt exit the borehole until the lock lever stops. Turn the doorknob and the door should open. When leaving, press the Schlage button or enter the code to engage the locking mechanism and turn the deadbolt. Ensure the deadbolt fully enters the borehole. Sometimes it doesn’t line up perfectly and you may need to jiggle the hand and the door to make it line up correctly. Always test the door to make sure it’s locked by trying to enter the house while turning the doorknob. Guest Interaction I am nearby and available when needed! We do our best to greet guests upon arrival whenever feasible, then your privacy is your own and our interaction thereafter is dependent on your needs. You may see us around maintaining the property which we often do, if you see us around feel free to say hi! Please feel free to call us directly if the need for assistance arises or contact us through the VRBO website. If we are out of town, we will provide you with a back up contact. Other Things to Note Due to the listing’s popularity there is a firm check-in and checkout policy. If your arrival time is earlier than the check-in, you are more than welcome to leave your luggage with the cleaning staff after 11:30am On your day of departure, if your stay exceeds the 10am checkout time you will be charged for an additional day. I look forward to hosting you and hope you enjoy New Orleans! Please let me know if you have any questions. The Neighborhood Our house is located in a quiet, single-family home neighborhood about 3 miles from the French Quarter, so you're out of the way of the hustle when it's time to relax. Our street does have a lot of potholes. New Orleans is notorious for its "3rd world roads" and this one is no exception! However this is a very wide street, uncommon in New Orleans, and you can avoid most of the potholes. Getting Around You can catch an Uber to about anywhere for a reasonable fee. $8-10 should get you to the French Quarter. We are only 3 blocks from the bus line on Saint Bernard Ave. You can see the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority schedules and routes at their website. RTA also operates the streetcars that run down St. Charles Ave and Canal St. If bicycling is appealing to you, there are several places that rent bicycles. New Orleans has also recently have incorporated public bicycles throughout the city. See The public bicycle rates are very reasonable at $8/hour, or $15 a month (1 hour per day, $8/hr after), or $20 per year (1 hr per day, $8/hr after). Additional Rules - Pets are not allowed on the property. Undisclosed pets will result in an immediate cancellation of your reservation without refund and an additional $100 cleaning fee will be charged. VRBO will be notified and a negative review will be left. - Due to the listing’s popularity there is a firm check-in and checkout policy. If your arrival time is earlier than the check-in, you are more than welcome to leave your luggage with the cleaning staff after 11:30a.m. On your day of departure, late checkout is permitted only when possible and with prior property management consent. If your stay exceeds the 10a.m. checkout time you will be charged for an additional day. - Please treat the place as if it were your own. We totally understand that things can happen, so if it does, just let us know. It helps you and us! - If you smoke, please do it outside and dispose of your butts properly (i.e. not in the garden in the front or in flower pots, please throw away completely). - When leaving, please clean out the refrigerator and kitchen of any perishables. - City Lic# 18STR-20852 exp 1/20/2020

The property itself is nice. The hosts are so helpful, friendly, and just overall lovely. The house is a great launching pad for going anywhere in the city. There is plenty of room for parking. However, I expected better supplies in the kitchen. The pots/pans were terrible and the knives were even worse. There is an expectation that you will be cooking when renting a house vs staying in a hotel. We had to buy several things to host a gathering at the house. I would stay here again with the hopes that the hosts have upgraded the pots/pans and knives. (And maybe the mattresses too… but that may be my age talking. 😂)

Can't say enough good things about this house. Great location, comfortable beds and furniture, clean and stocked, excellent communication with the owner and manager... Close to City Park and a short, easy drive to the Quarter.... Adding it to my favorite places to stay in NOLA!

My bridal party and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This house is a great option for larger groups with great sized rooms, large kitchen, large bathrooms, multiple sitting areas, and a great outdoor space! Great option for those ride sharing or renting a car. Close to the top NOLA attractions without being right in the middle of it all. Would recommend to friends and love to stay again!

I can’t imagine a better spot for our adult group to stay for a long weekend to enjoy Jazzfest. Quiet residential neighborhood, comfortable rooms, well-provisioned kitchen and helpful, quick-to-respond hosts. I would stay here again, for sure.

I visited New Orleans for an Ultimate Frisbee tournament and me and nine of my teammates stayed in this house. We had everything we need and it was pretty great for the most part. It could use a major coat of paint and a thorough cleaning and the backyard was all spiderwebs and clearly was not used by anyone else but it got the job done and we enjoyed our stay. The beds especially are very comfortable.

Congratulations on the restoration of the home! The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and linen. The location is in close proximity to downtown and some great eating places. I would stay again.

This property experience was great! The owner was a great communicator. He was very responsive, but there was nothing we needed to contact the about. The property was just as described. Very clean and spacious. Safe location, mins. away from everything.

Nice place! Owner is great to deal with. Kitchen is not stocked, so if you plan to cook it will be hard. Little to no pots and pans and the gas grill is not useable. Small charcoal grill is ok. The dog next door barked all night long, every night! Enjoyed NOLA very much, lots to see and do.

We enjoyed our time at the property. Nice to have 2 bedrooms downstairs for the older adults and plenty of sleeping arrangements upstairs for the younger adults plus an extra sitting are and tv upstairs. Eric was very easy to work with and check in went smoothly . Also nice to have driveway parking as well as street parking available because we had family traveling from several states with vehicles. Definitely recommend Uber pickup because not easy to maneuver in the City. Would rent this property again.

It was comfortable, warm, cozy ( or cool with temperature control like sone of my friends preferred). The amenities were plentiful with wine glasses, coffee, extra blankets and towels, HDTV with Amazon Prime access. The rooms were ALL cute with a few beads in each one. There was a full length mirror and a bar area… Too cute. Did I mention an upstairs deck? The requirements ( pull the trash and remove food items) were minimal and very reasonable. I’d stay there again! Thanks Eric

The property was spacious and accommodated our group of 9 perfect. We were visiting for our family Reunion and had some family members over for BBQ. With the ample space in the backyard and the pergola providing shade there was enough room for all ages. Will certainly stay again.

This was a great place for our family to stay while participating in the Tulane Graduation. It's about a 10-20 minute drive from everything in a safe neighborhood and close to City Park which is wonderful. Waited 6-10 minutes for Ubers. Beds/bedrooms are comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is large. Wish the living room area was bigger but we didn't have much time to hang out as a group.

The only thing we had issues with was the downstairs bathroom wouldn’t get hot water and the shower upstairs drained slow. Other than those small details we loved the house and had a great time.

Well the house was fine. Mostly clean... though it could and should have been more thoroughly cleaned. Under the pillow cases the pillows were discolored. There were some issues with the downstairs bathroom and hot water, water pressure. My son was attacked by the dogs next door and the landlord chose not to engage his neighbors. He wasn’t hurt badly but it tore his shirt and he had 3 teeth marks that bled some.
It’s probably not safe to be outdoors at night but we were able to get Uber and Lyft with very little issue. 10-15 minute to the French Quarter. Overall it was a fine/good (not great) experience.

Pros -The neighborhood was decent. No worries with that. Nice size rooms for our group of 10. Nice fenced backyard.
Cons - it was fairly clean but could be done a little better. You’ll need to buy toilet paper and paper towels. We couldn’t get heat in the downstairs and it was cold during our stay. There were no kitchen towels or dish rags either.

The communication with the host before check in was great. The property was clean and is in an area that is being revitalized. It is a relatively straight drive to downtown NOLA. We were not disappointed.
