It wasn’t bad and we weren’t miserable but…my husband is a contractor and I was seriously tired of listening to him complain about the quality of the house and all the corners cut to build it. It’s a rental so I get it but…. It was clean, as clean as possible but honestly, the carpet kinda grossed us out. It wasn’t awful by any means but…it was older carpet and not great. One thing we thought inconvenient was the main floor bathroom has a regular tub/shower combo which made it difficult for handicap access. With the ramp and the first floor bedroom, we assumed the shower would be easily accessible but it was kind of a pain. Personally, my biggest complaint was the WiFi. I had planned on working Friday while everyone else shopped/relaxed but we had no cell service and practically no WiFi. Someone came to “fix” it but all they did was restart the router which we’d already tried. He told us he’d had the same complaint at this house before…so fix it! We also felt communication with the property manager was very lax. I had to contact them to request check in info (even though I was told I would receive an email a couple days before check-in) and after I contacted them they told me I would receive another email with door code info. I didn’t receive that email so had to stop at the office to check in. The guy was super nice and it wasn’t a big deal but it also wasn’t what we were told/expecting. Don’t get me wrong, I’m only pointing out the negatives but it was not a bad place. It was cute, even it it wasn’t as awesome as most places we’ve stayed. The kids LOVED the pool table and the movie theater except the WiFi was very hit and miss to watch Netflix. The kids bunk room/game room was ok. Last negative, I promise, was we were disappointed in the amount of seating in the living area. We had 8 adults and 7 kids and there was no where comfortable that we could all (even just the adults) sit together and enjoy a movie or a good conversation. We mistakenly assumed the living area would have more seating. Not a big deal but just a little disappointing. I will say we slept great. Our mattress was very comfortable and the neighborhood was very peaceful. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in front of the fireplace. We did have everything we need and it definitely wasn’t “roughing it” but for the price we paid, we just felt like the experience overall should have been better.
