***Weddings have a separate calendar*** Welcome to Kilbuck Creek Nestled in 200 acres of woods and tucked away just south of Rockford Illinois, our facilities at Kilbuck Creek are the perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of your busy lives. Our beautiful log cabin home is the perfect place to reconnect with loved ones, and our ceremony site and reception hall make for an idyllic setting for Weddings! Reset your mind and soul with a walk in our 5 miles of groomed trails, and after you have soaked up all the sounds of nature, come on in and soak in our large indoor spa. When your ready for some fun, splash into our indoor pool and have fun creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our pool and spa are open all rear round! The Kilbuck Creek runs along side the property, so bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and floating tubes to enjoy the fun side of nature! We've added 2 separate cabins for more guests! See below..... If your interested in renting a golf cart to tour the property and trails with, please message us and we can setup payment and contract separately! Booking Details: Fees are based on 20 guests, sleeps 40. $50 per guest per night for additional guests. Butterfly Cabin Suite: Sleeps 4-5 guests $180-$310 per night (message us for price list) Horse Stable Cabin Suite: Sleeps 4-7 guests $200-$360 per night (message us for price list) *****WEDDINGS***** Please message us for wedding pricing and details. There is a separate program setup for Weddings. Weddings cannot be booked as Vacation Rental, and must be booked separately. A message from the owner: Kilbuck Creek is not just a business to us, and it’s not just a house, it’s a place where family and friends get to come together and spend quality time with each other in a world where time goes by far too fast. As the owner of this property, I have raised all 6 of my children here, and I've handpicked almost everything you see in the house. My kids grew up coming down the stairs on Christmas morning, or playing in the woods till the sun went down, and we have spent countless meals together in this kitchen. This home and property holds so many special memories and means so much to our family, and we love that we can now share this special place with other families so they can experience that joy as well. Having said that, it is with the utmost sincerity that we ask you to treat our home with the respect it deserves. Please understand that this isn’t just a business to us, this is where my children have been raised and where we still come together to spend quality time with each other. Our cleaning staff is like family to us, and they put a lot of time and energy into getting the house ready for each group. Please help them out by picking up the house before checkout, it’s greatly appreciated!! All groups must have an I.D. to present at check in, and we will be looking into each group that requests to book. No Prom or Homecoming groups

Really enjoyed our stay. Was clean and easy to communicate with owner. Had 11 kids, 9 adults, and plenty of room. No doubt the pool was the highlight for the kids. Great place for friends and family to create lasting memories.

This is the second time we've stayed at this property; this is a work gathering for sportclips haircuts! consisting of 14 coworkers from 7 states! the location is centrally located very easy to get to, absolutely loved our stay thank you!

!2 of us came together for a professional leadership retreat. It was an awesome property to be able to get out of the office and its distractions and have focused discussion and great team building time with co-workers. We booked for next year, while we were there, so that tells you how we really felt.

My vision was to celebrate Thanksgiving with my 5 children, their spouses and my 12 grandchildren all in one space. The stay exceeded my expectations. We had enough bed accommodations, the indoor pool was a blast for my grandchildren. We had a AWESOME stay!

We had a small get together with family and friends. It was very nice to have access to an indoor pool and hot tub. The pool was colder than we were expecting but we still enjoyed it and really used the hot tub. The "cabin" was amazing and we all liked the birds, especially my granddaughter. It was a little bit too cold to explore the property but what I saw was beautiful and well maintained. The views of the creek from the porch is also an unexpected perk. We will definitely be back.

The only issue with this place, is that it is so wonderful, that it is hard to go more often as it books up so fast. just ended our 3rd visit and cant wait to go back next year.

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The place was excellent! We have 2 kids with us and they have stair gates which made us at ease seeing them running around freely. The place was big and place was quite and the pool and jacuzzi was at good size for all of us! Totally a good place if your are looking for a place to have fun and have a some peace away from the busy city with your friends and family!

Amazing property, perfect for our family. Enjoyed all aspects of this rental especially the spaciousness and peace and quiet. Plenty of room for outdoor games and of course the indoor pool was enjoyed by all! The birds were a great welcoming party. They were great entertainment for all of us. Would definitely recommend this beautiful property for a wonderful vacation.

This space was perfect for my bachelorette party - it felt like a private cabin hotel! Everyone raved about how perfect the space was! We had the best time especially in the pool house! Can’t recommend this home enough! It’s amazing in every way! Also can’t rave enough about the host communication - very prompt with responding to any of my questions. So happy we found this gem! Even a few of my family members want to rent this home for their next getaway!

What a fantastic property for a large group. We had many families stay for 2 nights with mixed of age groups and children. We all had a blast. Everything was clean and in great use. The property was fun for the kids to run around and explore. We’d definitely come back!

We rented this house for 4 days over spring break. There were 4 families and about 20 of us. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms. Even with bad weather, the pool and basement kept the kids entertained the whole time. The adults loved the pool house and covered patio. Would definitely come back!

This was such a great property for our group of 4 families with kids. There was plenty to do and we all thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. There was a chemical imbalance with the spa but they quickly came and fixed it. Thank you for such a great property!

We had 23 girls staying for a Bachelorette party. The house was amazing and the perfect for a girls weekend away. Mona was super attentive when we had a temperature control issue and sent Dave (the maintenance guy) over right away. He was so great! He even shoveled the driveway and porch for us. We would 100% stay here again. Wanting to come back in warm weather to be able to enjoy all the the outdoor amenities as well as the inside! Thank you so much!

The house provided a perfect winter getaway for a multi-generational weekend - plenty of beds for a large group, the pool offered entertainment for all ages, and the kids loved watching the birds in the living room. Fun weekend in the woods!

Tv dish was out, could not use main area fire place, foos ball table had no balls, pool cues were in bad shape. Pool was excellent along with cooking facilities. Jets did not work on hot tub

We had a family weekend with ages 1 to 84. There was lots of room, lots of beds and a great kitchen for large meals. The pool was a big hit, especially in Illinois in February. We had the best time and are already talking about going back. Communication was great with the property managers too. We highly recommend!

Adults only weekend away!! Every year, us 20 adults plan a weekend away just to get away from the real world for 2 nights...this time everyone agreed. This was the perfect place!!..It was the absolute best weekend!!
Check in was simple! The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Pool and hot tub made you feel like your'e in a resort. It had an adjoining kitchen and lounging area..we called it the "Man Cave!" We didnt utilize the basement much, everyone was pretty much in the kitchen, man cave and living room most of the weekend!!
The living didnt have a tv. But you know what..IT HAD BIRDS!! We watched those birds from 6am until the bird lights went off at 9:07pm...We even named them!! "Yellow Pete" was our favorite!! Everyone said they wish there was a webcam so we all can watch them from home! Yep, we're weird, but we all really LOVED THEM!
The beds were comfy and rooms were extremely spacious (the pictures dont do them justice!!) We're all trying to find a date to come back this year, with all of our kids too, because they would absolutely Love it too!

We enjoyed Kilbuck Creek -- the pool and hot tub were great on a wintery weekend and there were many bedrooms with lots of beds. We didn't use the outdoor amenities much since it was cold and snowy, but the view was lovely. We liked the big dining room table and large buffet serving counter for meals. A couple of things to note: 1) the stairs are open between the steps so we were a little concerned about our 2 year old niece navigating them (but there are nice gates) and 2) there's only one small coffee pot but several carafes.
The property was very clean, beds and linens were decent and plentiful, kitchen had plenty of dishes for a big group.

This was our second time staying here and we will be back again!!! My husband and I do this for our family instead of buying a lot of gifts for Christmas. We Would rather give them memories instead of things. There were 17 of us ranging in age from 6-88 and everyone had a great time. The kids call it “The Mansion” ! They love the pool and the adults love the hot tub! The house is very clean and the birds in the living room are an added bonus. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Best Thanksgiving getaway we’ve had. The place is amazing. Very spacious and private. Everyone in our group had something to do from the little ones to the oldest ones. The house has everything you need. Kids loved the indoor pool house. Don’t have any negative comments about this place at all. Only thing we did encounter was TVs weren’t working during our stay. But if you’re thinking twice about renting don’t. It is worth it! We will definitely be back hopefully next time in the spring or summer.

This was such a majestic home. So much space for all of us to spread out. All of our needs were meet. So many areas to explore. We came during the fall and the outdoor area was as beautiful as the house. I would love to bring my children and grandchildren to enjoy this home. Don’t hesitate to stay. It’s wonderful.

We had an amazing time during our stay, we not only got to enjoy each other’s company but we also got to enjoy nature. This property is breathtaking love all the outdoor views, also had a relaxing time drinking my tea while sitting outside enjoying Mother Nature. The kids had a great time in the pool and on our nature walks. The whole family was so pleased they all enjoyed themselves!

Our family rented the cabin for two nights and we were a total of 32 (young families, couples and grandparents). We were all so impressed with how large, clean and comfortable the cabin was. The home’s large dining areas, kitchen and deck allowed everyone to spread out comfortably. The pool and pool house were resort-like and the water was at a perfect temperature. We appreciated all of the towels that were available in the home and at the pool house. In the kitchen, the cabin has top rated appliances and plenty of seasonings and oils in case you forget to take your own.
The property grounds were well manicured and was great space for playing family games! The children loved the swing set but the little house needed a little cleaning.
Overall, we all loved staying at this home and are already planning our next visit!

We had a great time in the pool with our 4 year old and there was something for everyone to do. Grandparents had fun on hikes and watching the finches in the aviary in the living room. Overall it was a very relaxing and peaceful vacation! Hoping to come back soon!

Having thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kilbuck Creek last July, we decided to book this wonderful house again for our grandkids' spring break.
My husband and I, along with our four married kids and our 9 grandchildren (a total of 19 people) loved walking into the house and being familiar with all of the warmth and love within. Everyone settled in, got changed into swimwear and headed to the pool! We had a blast! This house has everything a large growing family could ask for. We enjoyed making meals together, playing cards and other games at the large table (so nice to be able to all sit down to eat together at one table). Mona and the staff were all so quick to respond to our questions and were attentive to our needs. The new washer and dryer were an added bonus this time - and we utilized them in keeping up with all of the pool towels we were using. We always do a lot of cooking while we are staying there - so one thing that would be helpful is for the dial on the oven to be replaced. All of the numbers (indicating the oven's temperature) are worn off - so it's hard to tell what temperature you are setting the oven at. Mona did say she was attempting to try and get a replacement. I hope to see a new dial on the oven when we return for our next vacation.
All-in-all we had a wonderful experience, once again.
