Situated in Lisbon, this charming condo for R 4,771 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The building was erected on the historic walls of D. Fernando, at the foot of the river, near the place where the tobacco used to be negotiated. The name of its street JARDIM DO TABACO is still there to witness it. This flat was completely renovated in 2010 and offers all the modern comfort, although it has preserved its period’s character. Its localization is its biggest asset: near the museum of the fado, a few minutes away from “praça do comercio” and Baixa Pombalina, the Castel of São Jorge and from Casa dos Bicos. Its area is served by public transport; the subway, the typical tram of Lisbon and the bus. You are between the lanes of the medieval district of Alfama and the river which bathes the city. You can follow along the Tagus the South of the capital up to the sea or explore the trendy and elitist zone of the Docas. Its internal space is its second asset! A bright lounge/dining room of 40 m2, 3 bathrooms. A LCD with cable and all its audiovisual equipment, DVDs and CDs, a favourite addresses book will satisfy the most demanding. The spacious bedrooms own all 2 individual beds convertible in double beds (1, 60 x 2, 00) on request. In the kitchen, provided with all the modern equipment necessary, it is its spectacular chimney with the exposed brickwork that will leave a deep impression.

Beautiful and spacious apartment in the heart of the Alfama district. This place fit our group of 7 friends wonderfully, with ample common space, four comfortable bedrooms, three modern bathrooms and well supplied kitchen. The apartment is close walking distance to restaurants, shops, pharmacy, picturesque back streets and the castle. Good communication with the owners, easy access, clean and well cared for property. We highly recommend this apartment and this location for your stay in Lisbon.

This apartment was perfect for our group of 6 friends! The listing doesn't do this place justice - it's even nicer in person. Location was great; there was an excellent restaurant right outside the apartment entrance, along with a pharmacy and small store. We liked that the apartment was a couple minutes walking distance away from the noisy, touristy areas so it was quiet at night. I would recommend this listing to anyone traveling with a large group.

We enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. The property was located close to everything! There was so much to do and see in the area. It was very close to shops, restaurants, and the port. In addition, it was near major sights in Lisbon.

Perfect Visit to Portugal
My family of 6 including 3 teenagers had an incredible two week stay in Lisbon. Our communication with Joao was so easy from the start. Our check in to the apartment was also seamless. The space is probably even better than the pictures and description. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking pans and utensils. All the detergent for both the dishwasher and washing machine was provided. The bedrooms were very large and airy. Plenty of storage space for our clothes. The whole apartment was so clean! We had absolutely no issues while staying there.
The area was so much fun! We spent every evening up in the neighborhood enjoying the festival that takes place the whole month of June. We were very close to the train and tram station. It was an easy, beautiful walk along the river to another train station we used to go to the gorgeous beaches. We also enjoyed the well stocked grocery store close to the apartment. We were able to find everything we needed there for breakfast and some dinners we ate at home.
We couldn't have asked for anything more except a return visit to this beautiful country and wonderful apartment.

It could do with more cups, mugs and glasses - bigger ones! It was five of us and every single morning we ran out of tea and coffee mugs and the glasses are small.
Check in and check out was super easy.
We would be very happy to recommend this place and would be happy to return.

Lovely Stay in Lisbon
We enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. The property was located close to everything! There was so much to do and see in the area. It was very close to shops, restaurants, and the port. In addition, it was near major sights in Lisbon.
As for the apartment, it was spacious and had great amenities. It was perfect for our family. Thank you, Joao! We had a wonderful time in Lisbon.

Amazing stay in Alfama
We (a group of 7) had a great time staying in Joao's apartment! It is spacious, bright and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the supermarket was within 5 mins walking distance. The location was perfect: Santa Apolonia station and the Metro station were also within 5 minutes and the walk to Praca do Commercio was 10 mins. Communication and checking in was super easy and Sonia was great: she gave us a lot of recommendations (wish we had time for all of them!) and then followed up with me to see if we needed anything. There are plenty of places to eat right next to the building. Thank you! We would love to be back!

The apartment is ideally located for the central square, shopping, hop on hop off buses and numerous great restaurants. The check in process was superbly managed by Sonia (who also gave us a great run down of what to do) and joao answered all emails promptly and informatively. The apartment itself was spacious, moderately up to date (good showers and clean facilities) and in an ideal location. Would recommend to anyone looking for a few days in a great city

Good location, slightly unexpected
The location is great! I have to say I was a little concerned upon arrival as we drove through industrial waterfront areas and it is located on the edge of old town area. But the locations is actually very convenient for walking into old city areas 1/2 block and you are there. Property is a little worn and there is not a view of the water because of a building across the street. So, that was a little unexpected. It is a large place, very functional and the area was safe feeling. The property manager was very good and helpful before, during and after our stay! Parking is a little bit of an issue if you have a car (street parking for residence or short term only), but the is parking at the cruise ship terminal just a short distance away. I would consider staying here again.

This apartment was a wonderful find and Joao was very helpful from beginning to end . The apartment is very spacious and was perfect for our group of four people. The lounge and dining area was ideal for getting together to plan our days and the location was perfect for seeing lisbon as near to everything. Highly recommended.

This apartment was perfect for us - it is as gorgeous as the pictures suggest, super spacious and bright. The kitchen was very well equipped, the 3 bathrooms are very modern - two have a shower, one has a bath & shower.
The location of the apartment was also perfect, we had access to nice little bars and coffeeshops, typical restaurants with outdoor terraces and we had minimarkets as well as the metro nearby. We'll definitely come back there next time we visit Lisbon!

Beautful, well located apartment....with a catch!
Beautiful apartment in great location. Manager very helpful with instructions and setting up drivers. Would normally give 5 stars plus, but you should be aware that there is huge construction project immediately behind the apartment (ie. 10 feet). If you get up early and are out and about all day, then you should be fine. The project is finishing the demolition stage and I do not know when the rebuild will begin... but that will be a nightmare. I am truly shocked that this was not revealed to me at any time prior to my arrival. I strongly advise you to request photos and update on the construction prior to booking. I would be happy to provide photos and videos with sound if possible. Again, the apartment is great, but I believe there should be a partial refund due to the inexplicable failure to disclose adjacent demolition. However, my request seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I would avoid this apartment until construction is completed.

Very lovely apartment in wonderful location
This beautiful apartment is really comfortable. The 4th bedroom is also very good and the apartment is very suitable for 4 couples if willing to share bathroom. None of the bathrooms are ensuite so sharing a bathroom would be easily done.

Beautiful, spacious apartment in a great location
A group of friends and I spent a week in Lisbon, and this amazing apartment made our stay even better than we expected. It is spacious and light with four big bedrooms and three bathrooms. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants, shopping, groceries, and tourist attractions. The decor is welcoming and comfortable as well as beautiful. The owners were full of information and answered any questions we had quickly. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Lovely Apartment in Great Location
Don't judge a book by its cover. While the entrance isn't fancy, the apartment itself and the surrounding neighborhood are really fantastic. It is a three floor stairs walk up, but well worth the little climb. Air conditioning in every room, and a nice central living room give this apartment a nice touch. The apartment is clean and has plenty of amenities. Communication with our host was smooth and prompt. Alfama is such a cool neighborhood to explore, and the apartment is an easy walk to all the other central Lisbon neighborhoods. A fairly large supermarket is a five minute walk away (at the train station), and public transportation is very close by (although we just walked everywhere). Our party of 8 really enjoyed our time here. One side note, although the apartment is only a block from the river, a building between the apartment and the river blocks the river view. Not a big deal, but good to know.

João - we really enjoyed our stay in your Lisbon apartment. We found it conveniently located to restaurants, sites and markets. We had ample room for 2 families consisting of 7 adults and 2 teens. Apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We were sorry that we didn't get to meet you during our stay but we were happy that we booked this place. Thank you for setting up transportation from Lisbon airport and the coffee table binder listing recommendations for food and travel. We loved Pizzeria Casanova among others. (A note for travelers, this is a 3rd floor apartment, which means you're climbing 4 stories since entry is ground zero. Save some energy for those steps after your daily adventures.)

Beautiful apartment perfect location—large part of why we loved our stay in Lisbon
João’s apartment is spacious with beautiful hardwood floors, plenty of natural light. The windows were wonderful—easy to open to get breezes from the river, but when closed blocked all street noise. Our family (of 8–my husband and myself, 3 adult children and their spouses) was very comfortable in the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We enjoyed spending time with each other in the living areas. The location is perfect—on the edge of Alfama on a quiet street and walking distance to central shopping/restaurant areas Baixa-Chiado. João, and Joana who met us at the apartment, were very helpful and welcoming. We enthusiastically recommend this apartment and would love to stay again.

Perfect Location and Lovely Apartment!
Everything about this rental was fantastic! The location in the Alfama neighborhood and its plethora of services and restaurants is unbeatable. The apartment itself is wonderful! Beautifully appointed and comfortably laid out, the eight of us (four couples) had plenty of space to come together and escape. Joao was unbelievably helpful throughout the entire process, including arranging pick-up at the airport. I cannot recommend this rental enough. It was the perfect place from which to base our trip in Lisbon!

This house was absolutely brilliant. We were staying in a group of 10 and could not have been happier with the house. There were certainly enough beds for all of us as well as seating, bathrooms and kitchen space and the surrounding area was beautiful with views over the river!
Joao took care of all of our requests-- from arranging a van for a day trip to making a Fado restaurant reservation for a special birthday.
Such attention spells the difference between a good host and a great one

The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious! It was ideal for our group of friends (we stayed in 2 evenings, the living room is lovely and quite big). The location is just perfect, close to the waterfront and 10/15 min away from pretty much all the must-see spots of Lisbon. The train and metro station is 5 minutes away which is quite practical, plus the neighbourhood itself is charming - lots of typical little streets and restaurants!
It had everything we needed - wifi, kitchen equipment and towels.
The owners are very welcoming and helpful, we will definitely stay here again if we come back to Lisbon!

We- a group of six- stayed for 4 nights in the apartment to discover Lisboa. The Apartment is just perfect! Everything was just as described in the Lay-out. It has four spacious, very well and stylish decorated bedrooms; a spacious living room with a big sitting area and a very well equiped kitchen. The apartment is very clean and even has radiators in each room. We had a warm welcome and Joao organized our transfer from/to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay and we can highly recommend the object. It truly is a comfortable "Home away". Thanks a lot Joao and we surely will return!
