My recent stay in a cabin exceeded expectations. The host's kindness and excellent communication set a positive tone. The spacious and immaculate cabin felt like a home away from home. Well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, it provided a comfortable retreat. The host's attention to detail and the ideal location made this getaway a memorable experience. Highly recommended for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay.

This house had absolutely everything we needed for a perfect getaway. 4 moms and 4 teenagers had just the right amount of space. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs for moms. 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom downstairs for girls. Girls' bedroom sleeps 4 and there was a sofabed in game room as even more sleeping options. Property manager, Julie, was very responsive and helpful! Fully stocked kitchen, games and puzzles, and hot tub, too! Had the best time.

We enjoyed this cabin for or my father-in-law’s 70th birthday! We had 4 adult couples, 2 kids & plenty of space to spread out!
We enjoyed the easy 5 mins walk to the lake, the very well stocked, spacious kitchen & all the games & amenities to keep the family busy.
We also rented a pontoon boat for a couple hours one day & only had a 5 min drive to the Big Bear Marina.
We really enjoyed this cabin & will be back!

It had easy access to and from the rental. It was very nice that the rental accommodates ten people. There was plenty of room indoor and outdoor.

Nice stay in the house with 10 people. Room to spread out. Kitchen was well equipped and we ate all our meals there.House is on 3 levels-so lots of going up and down stairs. Bedrooms clean except windows and screens had spider webs which were quickly vacuumed up. The house is on a major street so we couldn't walk on road with the little ones. Didn't use spa but did sit outside on patio and watched a woodpecker fly in to feed here babies in an adjacent tree. Lots of rentals in the area and other than the first night was relatively quiet. Short drive to marina where we rented a boat.
Property manager, Julie was alway available if there were any issues.

We had a great time with our family of 8 people plus dog. The home has a lot of room, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the location is conveniently near the lake and the Village. Best of all were the many games that kept us entertained, from Ping Ping to Pool to Ms. Pac-Man, and we enjoyed the lovely jacuzzi just outside. The WiFi was a little spotty but otherwise everything was great. The unit is perfect for a family vacation.

Our group of 5 adults and four kids had such a great stay over Memorial Day weekend! There was plenty of space to hang out and the kids loved all the games in the garage and on the first floor. This is also a great spot to go watch the fireworks just a minute walk away.
Julie was a great host, very friendly, and easy to communicate with. We didn’t need anything while we were there but she was available if needed. We will have to come back next year!

This was the perfect spring break getaway for my family with older teens. Plenty to do, they loved the pool table, and plenty of space for everyone! Great location, although with all the snow, we couldn’t get to the lake to check out the trail that was posted in the book. Julie was great with communication and the home had everything we needed. We’d love to stay here again, and our pups and kids agree!!

Our group recently stayed here for three nights and had a great time. The kids were endlessly entertained with all the games/activities the home had. We cooked a few meals throughout our stay and it’s always nice when you can find everything you need in the kitchen. Cabin was also clean and the check in/ check out process was easy.

We where soo pleased with the property and with the host Julie. Always answering my calls and texts. We loved our two nights in this house. We had 3 families and 5 teenagers for a fun weekend of tubing. We picked this property because we could keep the teenagers downstairs in their own area. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything you could need to stay in and cook. The bedrooms were nice and they all had tv’s which is perfect. Check in was a snap and we our host was always available and made us feel like we could come to her with any questions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

What an amazing time we had during our stay at Glen View Retreat. The home was very clean, stocked with everything you would need from the kitchen to activities such as board games, table games and a large tv for Sunday football and nightly movies. Each large bedroom had comfy beds with warm clean linens. The kitchen had more than enough dishes, pots, pans, spices, even coffee and tea. We had a family gathering of 7 however, the home is large enough and equipped to host larger parties including parking. The interior stairs are not in access and safe for elderly parents. The home is near everything Big Bear has to offer. The village is very close, some of us walked there in the morning for coffee and lunch. We didn’t ski this time; however, the ski slopes are very close, and the lake is across the street. Julie was very kind, responsive and always available. We’ll be staying here again in the future and recommend this home 100%. Thank you for making my birthday weekend wonderful. Chavez Family

Julie was AMAZING to work with! Very easy to check in and the place was the cleanest vacation home I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was well stocked and up to date. We lost power for a large part of our weekend and Julie texted immediately to let me know where the lanterns were located, hot cocoa, and anything else we needed. I would HIGHLY recommend. Perfect location-you can walk to the water and the town is only a short bike ride away. Loved everything about this place!

Julie is absolutely awesome! House has everything needed, plenty of cooking supplies, cookware, and kitchen anything! Area is great! Very quiet, plenty of things to do - lots of games and PacMan was my favorite. The beds are a bit uncomfortable and gameroom couch is definitely not for sleeping. But this did not spoil our time at all. Our group of 10 had perfect time!!

We loved that we could walk to town and to the lake for fireworks. We had to drive to useable beach.
Property was clean and had lots of fun activities for kids- loved the swing, pacman, air hockey, etc. Adults loved the hot tub and bbq. Only drawback was we brought kayaks and thought we could walk them to the lake; but there was no place to put them into the water. We had to drive around the lake for beach access.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
We had such fun at the house. There were so many games to play that nobody was ever bored. The house was spotless and well stocked. Definitely recommended.

Can’t wait to go back!
This house is perfect for 1-2 families with thoughtful details for adults and kids. Some standouts: pac man/ arcade machine, garage full of games and books, individually wrapped dish sponge, clear and easy communication with the manager, Julie, and enough room to spread out but comfy spaces to spend time together.
3.0
The location of this cabin is great. Across the street are lakefront properties and a short walk gets you to the lake shore. It is close to all the activities. The neighborhood is quiet. The house was clean and the outside areas were also clean. Everyone enjoyed all the games and activities provided in the house. But things to take into consideration 1) you cannot use the garbage disposal - if you do it will clog and the owners have a sign stating they will charge you $50. This wouldn't be a big deal except you have to drive your trash to community dump sites. 2) the couch is old and uncomfortable and has an odor 3) the house sleeps 11 but the dining table only has chairs for 6 4) the mattresses are not supportive and have indentations in them 5) there is not much counter space and nowhere to store food you bring - the pantry and cupboards are all full 6) the master bedroom is directly above the bunk room and you can hear every step that is made upstairs- it is loud and creaks terrible ... so if your kids are light sleepers this may not be a good room 7) and lastly the spa- 5 kids aged 4,6,9,11 and 14 used it twice for about 45 minutes. After the second use the water turned cloudy. We are pool/spa owners and know that a properly maintained spa should not do this. We arrived on Saturday and the spa tech came on Tuesday. The owner called me to tell me the spa was cloudy. I told her I was aware and the kids had been in it. She offered to drain it but I declined because we did not want the mess of a muddy backyard and someone on the back deck for an extended period of time while we were there on vacation. We allowed the kids one more use but then decided no further spa use because of the water condition. After check out the owner notified me she was going to charge me $90 for draining the spa. So be very careful when you book here. And extra careful if you use the spa.
