About this house rental
Nestled in Colorado, this attractive house for R 11,920 per night is a great option for your next break. The King Davis House is ready to welcome guests. We have always deeply cleaned & sanitized the house after each guest, but we are now sanitizing "high-touch surfaces" like door knobs, light switches and remote controls. We are using cleansing products that are EPA approved to disinfect. We have removed decorative pillows and throw blankets to minimize the risk of exposure. You should feel comfortable coming to the Gunnison Valley and staying at The King Davis House. But, if you feel sick or have a fever, do not come. This is small community with limited health resources. Our house sits at about 9,000 feet above sea level. If someone is not used to that level of altitude, it can affect them without added respiratory distress. Guests should bring face masks with them as they may be required to wear them when visiting the surrounding businesses. If you have any questions related to how things are going in Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte, feel free to ask! We would love to have you stay at the King Davis House. The spectacular view of the slopes of Mt. Crested Butte awake you every morning from this fully equipped 5000 SF home. With five bedrooms, 4.5 bath rooms, two fireplaces, two sundecks and a two car garage, this house will accommodate 8-12 adults comfortably. The large living room expands the entire top floor of the house making it ideal for large groups. Grab some firewood from our stocked wood room & build a fire in the living room fireplace and get comfy on the over sized couches & chair in the living room while you watch your favorite TV show or movie on the 50 inch flat screen TV. Equipped with a DVD player if you choose to bring your own movies or rent one from town. Get into lively game of pool with friends or family or choose a game from our game cabinet & play at the game table. Have fun while 'Fred The House Moose' and 'Nigel Deer' watch over you. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings at the table on the upstairs deck while the grill master of your group cooks on the stainless steel gas grill. The large open kitchen is fully stocked with anything you would need to cook your own meal. It even has instructions on high altitude cooking posted. Eat at the large dining room table or at the island. After you eat, don't worry about doing the dishes because there is dishwasher to clean up so you don't have to. After dinner, relax in the upstairs sitting area with a beautiful view of the mountain. When you are ready for bed, snuggle up in our memory foam topped beds with plush bedding & pillows. All bedrooms have Flat Screen cable TVs. 4 of the bedrooms have their own full bath to make it a suite. 3 of the bedrooms downstairs have doors to the sundeck. Our house offers every amenity to make you feel comfortable & at ease so you can relax and enjoy your stay. We have a property manager that is local for any questions or needs that may arise during your stay and we are always a phone call away. Town of Mt. This house is absolutely perfect. The owner has thought of everything. The house was stocked, super clean and we never ran out of anything. She has really thought of it all. The shuttle was amazing. Picked us up right at the top of the driveway way and took us to the bottom of the resort area where the ski lifts are. The longest we waited for a ride was 10 minutes. It’s always nice when a VRBO is exactly what the owners says it is. We will be back!

We were in town for my daughter's wedding, and the King Davis House was the perfect place for extended family and friends to stay and reconnect while in town, as well as a great place for the bride & bridesmaids to prepare for the big day.
We were looking for a place that had at least one bedroom/bath that could accommodate someone who couldn't handle stairs very often - and this fit the bill with a nice master bedroom/bath on the main level.
This house could not have been more stocked, and the supplies provided were so well thought out. Just when we thought we needed something that wasn't there - we found it! I've stayed in my fair share of short term rentals over the years - and this was easily the most wonderfully stocked and organized kitchen I've ever seen.
The pool table got almost constant use, and was a great source of entertainment for all. The views are spectacular. And having dedicated bathrooms for nearly all of the bedrooms was so convenient.
We love Crested Butte and try to make it to town a few times each year - we'd love to visit the King Davis House again when we travel with a larger group.

This place was great. I took a large group of friends to CB to ski and this place was the perfect home base. Huge communal living space and tons of bedrooms and bathrooms. Bus was super convenient too. My one and only complaint was that there isn’t a hot tub haha.

This house was perfect for our stay! The house is located close to the ski hill and those views!!! It snowed almost the whole time we were there and what a perfect mountain setting. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out in the great room and our kids loved playing outside in the snow. We hope to stay here again!

This house is big enough for large groups or multiple families. It had plenty of seating to hang out comfortably without feeling cramped and access to the slopes was a very short shuttle ride away. The owner was very responsive and very friendly.

The King Davis House was spectacular! There were 9 of us plus other family that stayed at 2 other rentals. The King Davis House was our headquarters where we entertained for Apres Ski and dinners. There was ample room for all of us and our guests!
The house met ALL our expectations and more. The fireplace with the ample supply of wood was so cozy and the views...well words can not begin to describe the beauty from every single room.
Each bedroom was so comfortable and perfect with a private bath for each.
The bus service to the ski base made this a perfect ski vacation-everything is so close.
We never even needed to contact our host because we never needed anything!
Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful home to share with everthing we could ever need. We will surely return!

Our group came for our annual ski trip and was amazed by the views you get from every window. The house was stocked of useful kitchen items and games to play! There were PLENTY of logs for the fire and blankets for the couch. We were the first pick up on the shuttle which was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was perfection. The location was great. There were amazing views, access to Mt Crested Butte and Crested Butte were both easy via public transit or a quick drive, and there was plenty of privacy even though it is in a (mountain) neighborhood. Communication with the hosts was always easy, responses came quickly. There was plenty of space for my family (including 2 little ones) to spend time together playing indoors or outdoors or have alone time too. I would 100% recommend staying in this place!

This house is absolutely incredible. The pictures on the listing don’t even do it justice. It is so spacious and has incredible views. Half of our group went skiing, and the other half did not. There was something for everyone to do, and transportation from the house tow the lifts, or to town, is super easy. We played board games that the host provided and overall had an amazing time. Will be back!!

This was a great place for our work retreat. The large living room and combined kitchen made this the perfect place for us to all meet and work together. It was also a wonderful place for everyone to head out of different adventures throughout the weekend. Highly recommend it.
