What an amazing little gem of a cabin on a lake close to a great little downtown with quality food and friendly people! Property manager gave us a call shortly after we arrived and made sure we were satisfied with the property. Lake is nice and quiet with plenty of sights to see as you swim, canoe and kayak. It truly is “the way life should be!!!”

Very cute house and lots of extra stuff to do. We loved kayaking through the pond, and having a fire at night. Will definitely stay here again!

The house was great for our weekend ski trip to Sunday River. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner both days. The three bedrooms plus the loft beds were comfortable and views of the pond out back were great.

Rented the house for my gannual ice fishing trip. Everything was perfect, caught fish allday. Tons of firewood!!!!

We stayed at the property for a ski vacation, but also just for a getaway. As advertised, the location was nice and private with serene views towards the pond. The house was spacious and comfy, the beds especially so. The first-floor bunk room was perfect for my young grandchildren, and they were delighted by the toy box. Kitchen was fairly well equipped and easy to use for meal prep. Great place to stay and recharge, close to Pleasant Mt. and Mt Abrams, fire in the fireplace to play games around - we were more than satisfied!

My friends and I stayed here for an annual New Years ski trip. This place was cozy and well equipped for out needs. The lake/views were beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house/description is accurate. The host made us very comfortable answering all the questions and giving suggestions along the way. Kids enjoyed the hikes around and the papoose pond rides in the kayaks. They want to come back to the same place again in summer.

Enjoyed our annual family vacation to Maine. Close access to water. Nice kayaking down crooked river. Owner very responsive in replacing missing deck chairs. Good value for the money.

Property was exactly what we wanted on a pond that was perfect for our younger children and located near family we wanted to visit. The canoe and two kayaks were used daily and sitting on the porch in the morning with coffee watching the blue heron was wonderful. Directions to the location does however need refining.

The waterfront cabin was a nice location for our family vacation. The furniture and kitchen were basic, without a dishwasher. The mattress in the upstairs bedroom needs updating.

My husband and I are familiar with papoose pond and the surrounding area. This was a perfect quite getaway. The cabin had everything we would want to explore the pond or sit by the beach. The house was comfortable and absolutely what we were hoping for. We booked again for next year.

Host was a fabulous communicator, quick to respond, very flexible with our shifting asks as the event neared. Very happy to have booked this cabin for our needs. My only regret is that I did not try swimming in the pond sooner! Kayaking was great but swimming at 5 (or 6) am was the best memory I will have from our short stay. Once there was a fishing boat (I think it was a fishing boat - I tried to stay far away & my eyesight is bad) but otherwise I had the "pond" to myself. No. Motorized. Vehicles to scare me away from swimming the length up, then back. A big WOO HOO from someone who usually has to swim in Lake Winnepesaukee during her summer trips back east.

Good location for shopping in Bethel and Norway at Philbrook Place, Fiber & Vine, and Handmade Maine. Norway Brewing and Oxbow Beer Garden were also great for drinks and food. It was a rainy weekend, so the dirt driveway was quite muddy, but we made it through without needing all-wheel drive.

View and access to the pond is terrific. The accommodations for a family of 6 are really good, nothing fancy. Had all we needed to enjoy walks around the pond on the ice, even successfully did some ice fishing. Saw a Bald Eagle on several occasions in front of the home. Reasonable drive to Bethel and Sunday River.

The owners were great. The Wi-Fi wasn’t t working and they took care of it right away. The view is fantastic. We had plenty of room for 9 people.

Loved this place! A rare rental thats better than the pictures :) great communication with Angelica! It took us closer to 40 minutes to make it to Sunday River… rough road conditions with the snow though. Thanks for a fun weekend with friends!!

Beautiful cozy log cabin in the woods! Perfect amount of space for our ski group of 3 couples and a few singles. Plenty of cozy blankets and the heat worked very well, fireplace was a lovely extra bonus! Wifi was good enough for a couple folks to work remote and be in simultaneous video calls. XC skiing and walking on the lake was absolutely beautiful. We came during a 1ft+ snow storm and Angelica was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions about the plowing service! Drive to Sunday River is a little on the long side (30-40 min) in the snow and mountain traffic but very manageable. Hannafords and Walmart were convenient for groceries. Overall a wonderful experience!

Stayed here with a group of friends for a ski trip to Sunday River. Really cool place right on a lake. Angelica and Jeff were very responsive and helpful when asking if we will get plowed out due to blizzard. Overall highly recommend!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the log cabin over Christmas. Comfortable, cozy, with easy drives to downhill and cross country skiing. Loved being surrounded by nature with a view of the snow covered pond. Planning on returning in the summer one day!
