Situated in Big Bear, this charming house for R 2,834 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Blue Moon, is a custom built split log home located in lower Moonridge. Just a short drive to Bear Mountain. The custom stained glass entrance is a welcoming touch. Once inside you will find a powder bath and the laundry room to the right with a full size washer and dryer. To the left of the entrance is the homes gourmet kitchen, complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including a six burner gas range. There is a microwave, toaster, standard coffee maker and a Cuisinart brew station (it takes regular pods) and a side by side fridge/freezer combo. Keep the cook company at the live edge burl wood bar. The dining room features a bar height table with seating for eight. The high vaulted ceilings carry throughout the living area, featuring a wood burning fireplace and deck access, a large flat screen TV that is HDMI compatible. Once outdoors you will find ample seating on the back patio. Grill on the propane barbecue or enjoy the eight person hot tub. The fully fenced backyard with its gorgeous forested mountain views is the perfect retreat. Downstairs you will also find the homes master suite, complete with a gas fireplace, flat screen TV and the large master bath. It has a large soaking tub, stall shower and dual sinks. Head out to the garage where a comfortable leather sectional provides the perfect hang out spot. A vintage arcade game can also be found in the garage providing hours of fun and entertainment for you and your guests. Head upstairs where you will enter into the loft area, it has a Full size futon and a flat screen TV there is also deck access. Down the hall you will find the homes two bedrooms and a full size bath in the hall. The first bedroom you will find a twin over queen bunk and separate queen bed with a flat screen TV that is HDMI compatible. Lastly you will find the third bedroom with a Queen bed. Really enjoyed this cabin for our short 2 night trip. Will definitely come back. Check in was a breeze, done all through the phone. I appreciated not having to check in with an office location since we arrived later than we planned. Cabin itself is very spacious, beautiful and accommodates 6 adults and 3 kids without using the futon. Backyard was fenced and offered a great view, though it's not very private. Jacuzzi is awesome, and allows you to enjoy under the stars. Only real complaint is that the 1st floor bedroom had a lot of dog-hair on the bed itself, and walking the floor collected dog hair on our socks. So FYI Not cleaned well enough for anyone with allergies. Also, the house has a few stairs up to the front door, and even more stairs through the garage, so no easy unloading of heavy bags. All in all, we loved it and would like to come back for a longer stay.

We had an issue with the garbage disposal that was fixed very quickly. The dryer stopped working on our second day, which made it difficult to clean our ski gear. Otherwise it was a very nice place.

We really enjoyed the stay and think the cabin is very nice. My only recommendation would be more seating in family room as opposed to 1 couch.

Family weekend of hiking and biking!!!

We went to the mountains for a family get away with our adult children and had a perfect weekend! The house looked exactly like the picture and the inside was decorated beautifully. The location was close to downtown Big Bear, minutes from two grocery stores and restaurants. We had a great weekend hiking and biking the trails. We would have given this a 5 star review but the outdoor furniture needs to be replaced (foam was coming out of cushions) and kitchen was not stocked for having a large dinner . Destination Big Bear was a great way to book and staff was friendly at check in. We had a couple of smoke detectors that randomly would start beeping and they sent over someone within a hour to look at them. We would stay here again and recommend this property to friends . It's perfect for a summer stay or has a awesome view of Bear Mountain for a winter stay.
