We traveled to TN for Christmas this year and had our extended family all meet here (10 total). There was plenty of room for everyone and the cabin had everything we needed to enjoy Christmas. It was nicely decorated and had all the essentials to cook Christmas dinner. Beds were comfortable and the location cannot be beat. It's perfectly situated in the middle between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It's also not situated so high up that you need a four wheel drive vehicle. Great place, thank you!

We enjoyed our stay so much! You couldn't be closer to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg yet still have so much privacy. The view of the pond was wonderful and the cabin was very clean.

We were very pleased with our vacation stay and would definitely stay there again!

Blueberry refers to the name our granddaughter gave to the black bear we saw in the neighborhood! The location is so convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg/SMNP. Our family enjoyed everything from mountain coasters to Cades Cove and views from Anakeesta. After fun filled days, it was so relaxing to return to the comforts of Bear Mountain Lodge. We enjoyed playing billiards, soaking in the hot tub, and watching the clouds roll across the mountains from the deck! Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

Beautiful, private setting. Great and easyaccess to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Clean and comfortable place. Would consider taking another vacation there. Deck secure for smaller children. We saw a black bear go under the upper deck while I was standing there. It surprised me but felt safe and secure as O watched him wander off to other property and then disappear into the woods.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect for our needs. The location was close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We saw three bears walk by the house during our stay. The grandkids thought that was awesome. I would stay at this property again.

Cabin was clean and in a great location, directly between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We had 11 family members and had plenty of space for everyone. This was our first time in the area and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Best location yet. Stayed in 5 cabins before and this one is easy to get in and out of cabin and location makes it a quick drive where ever you wanna go in the area

I would have left a 3.5 star review, but after further review the one issue that really bothered us was called out in the listing. The seasonal fireplace usage is ridiculous. We visited first week in April and would have loved to have used the fireplaces...it got into the low 40's at night. You're in a cabin in the woods...fireplace is part of the experience.
There were a number of items where you can tell the owners spent money (deck & kitchen are fantastic) and then there are repairs/upgrades poorly completed (e.g. electrical outlets). The master bed on the main level could use a new mattress...the mattress in the bunk room is nicer. Also, the bedframes of the 2 queen beds need to be replaced properly and not a DIY fix.
The hottub did not work. Pulled the manual off the internet and spent some time trying to get it working....not worth spending your vacation time trying to mess with it. The hottub is quite old...if a hottub is important to you....I wouldn't stay here until its replaced or major work is done on it.
Lastly, the dishes request prior to leaving is a bit much. Most places we have stayed are fine if you fill up the dishwasher and run it prior to leaving. The cleaning crew puts away. This host requests that you clean and put away all dishes prior to leaving which adds time when you are trying to get on the road.
The owner is thorough with the asks of you the guest, so I wanted to leave a thorough review on areas that could have made it 5 stars.

We stayed for 5 days at this lovely cabin. We almost didn’t make it to the cabin due to snow on the ground and we drove a multi passenger 2WD van. We had an unexpected snow day which was a treat for the kids (and adults) but had to push back some of our plans due to icy road conditions. We loved everything about the cabin. It had everything we needed. Ben and Leila were very responsive. We’d love to come back in the summer so we can explore the lake down below and the trails in the area.

This is an absolutely beautiful property for a large crowd. It is well taken care of ... spacious and well stocked with kitchen amenities, but no Keurig. Cable and internet issues for us.

It was a great place to get together with siblings as we are scattered about the US. We loved sitting on the decks in the morning. Plenty to do in both Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge. The Smokie Mountains National park is a must see. Everything was close enough that we could keep entertained and do multiple events in one day.
I suggest arriving before nightfall if you are not familiar with the area! Very tough to find in the dark until you know where your going plus my gps was just a bit slow on giving directions.

Ten of us stayed--ages 6 to 86--and we had a glorious time! The house is an absolutely perfect location for our needs (a little Dollywood; a little SMNP) and the various bedrooms and porches made it a flexible and comfortable stay for our large group. We made lifelong memories!

The beautiful views, peaceful and secluded setting, and modern amenities of Bear Mountain Lodge made for a comfortable and welcoming home-away-from-home during our family vacation in the Smoky Mountains. It was the perfect spot to relax and recharge after a day of sight-seeing and adventures.

We hiked in Smoky Mountains, went to shows in Pigeon Forge, ate and miniature golf in Gatlinburg and this cabin was perfectly centered to everything but you felt like your were in the country. Very peaceful and we saw bear!

This property is so much better than the pics!! We loved it and the location is perfect for visiting all the area attractions. The hot tub was nice to have after long days, We did see a bear right at the house which was very cool. There was very little that wasn’t great except the lack of water pressure and no basic supplies in the kitchen, not even salt and pepper or aluminum foil, nothing.. Every other rental we’ve used has at least some basics that other guests may have left behind, I would recommend this property if you’re visiting the area.

Our family celebrated Christmas in this wonderful cabin this year. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays providing a home-away-from home feel. The location is perfect; it’s within a reasonable distance from various types of activities. We especially loved the deck and billiard room. I highly recommend!

The property was a bit dated but pretty clean. The showers are tiny and the bunk bed mattresses are very uncomfortable. On the plus side, the deck is huge & new, and the outdoor jacuzzi is great. The location is the best thing about the place- when you are there you feel a sense of privacy, but downtown Gatlinburg is only a 5-7 minute drive away & Pigeon Forge is maybe 12 minutes away. There are 2 huge gas fireplaces & it was nicely decorated for Christmas.

A great place to stay for a large family!
We loved our trip to this property. The cabin was very big and had plenty of room for family. We loved the view from the back deck, and being able to go fish at the pond. They provided all the essentials for traveling, and made check in and check out very easy. We definitely would recommend staying here for your next trip!

Reunion in Pigeon Forge
Everyone enjoyed the house! The location was wonderful, close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and the view from the covered deck was beautiful. There were 8 of us and we were very comfortable. House is nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, the outdoor space was fabulous for enjoying coffee in the morning and relaxing in the evening. Everything overall very positive. The only comments were that water pressure in the showers was low and it would have been nice to not have to wash and put away dishes before leaving early to catch flights out -- wish we could have just loaded the dishwasher and run it. Otherwise we would definitely use this house again!!

My Birthday Getaway
The property was in a great location, everything we wanted to do was accessible. My favorite features were the upper and lower decks as well as the hot tub. There was plenty of cookware available and any appliance you can think of to chef it up. The cabin was super family friendly with plenty of games, dvds, and other entertainment available. My 3 year old niece loved running around and it was completely safe to do so. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the cabin. It wasn’t disgusting but it was not as clean as I was expecting. Upon arrival we discovered a rotten apple in one of the holes of the pool table. The jacuzzi tub, shower, and sink in the master bedroom was not clean nor was the shower in the double queen bedroom. There were spider webs in the children’s room and all over outside on the deck. We understand the cabin is in the wilderness but the webs were excessive as if there was no effort to clean prior to our arrival. Overall the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay just wish it was cleaner upon arrival. We would recommend this cabin to anyone coming to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge.

All the comforts of home! Our only complaint is the fireplace was not available for use in October.

Very nice cabin that is perfectly located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The deck was huge and perfect for kids to play. We loved staying there.

It's a nice cabin, with a bit of a unique layout. First and foremost, it was clean, although it is time for a deep clean that includes dusting the light fixtures and vacuuming the dead bugs out of the window frames. Unfortunately not everyone who stays there follows instructions and we were left with dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The kitchen has great appliances, plenty of room for cooking, there were 6 adults and we cooked every day of the week we were there with the exception of 2 dinners out. Loads of storage in the fridge, it has an ice maker and filtered water too. Great center island loaded with various cooking vessels. The wine glasses are perfect size for mimosas! Having an open floor plan and a large dining room table made family time more enjoyable.
The living room is small, having only a love seat and sofa so there was only sitting room for 5, I would recommend a sectional sofa instead. Although the deck is HUGE only a small portion is covered and it rained every day we were there. The Hot tub was nice, but a bit difficult to figure out. The deck furniture, wooden adirondack style seating, was quite comfortable. The lower portion of the deck was never used since it was always wet, and didn't really have much of a view.
The pool table takes up most of the room in the basement, so there isn't much comfortable seating. The basement bedrooms were a decent size, but the bunk room was very warm, opening the window was not an option since it was loaded with dead bugs. The other basement bedroom did not have a window and definately requires your own personal fan.
The King mattresses were comfortable, but the queen and double bunk not so much. The basement bathroom has a step up into the shower, and like the other reviews said the toilet is noisy but that is because of the pump on it, which is normal for that type of toilet in a basement. The upstairs Master King shower was very small, we referred to it as a phone booth. There was plenty of flat driveway parking space. I wish I would have had better instructions when finding the place, something like, "look for the short 1 lane road that goes straight up right after you turn left, or right" The house is litterally at the end of a long and winding road and somewhat secluded. It does over look a small private lake but you cannot walk there, if you want to go fishing (catch and release) there are 2 small areas off the side of the lake to park. In all it was quiet and peaceful.

Excellent Location with Everything You Could Need
This cabin is in a great location, only a few minutes from the Parkway and in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This property is comfortable and the property managers do a great job of communicating with you.
The kitchen is stocked with tons of pots, pans, dishware and just about anything you would need to cook a great meal at this location. Internet speed is adequate and the deck on the back is fantastic.
We'll be using this property again for future stays.
