Situated in Honolulu, this attractive cottage for R 2,421 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty and peaceful tranquility of this perfectly located Hawaiian style cottage, steps from the beach with a large deck to be under the stars and feel the ocean breeze; The yard is tropical with an authentic Polynesian style hut hosting the grill and a large play ground for the kids to play in a totally gated environment.. Boogie boards and beach equipment are there for you spend your time on the beach. Inside the house everything is there to make you feel at home with a fully equipped kitchen, a small living room with a comfortable sofa that converts into an extra bed and the sun room open to the living room with a full size bed . The bedroom is air-conditioned and has a queen size bed and a large bay window that opens on to the deck. This colorful,sunny and breezy cottage is a guaranty that you will bring home lots of good memories and be charge up for the winter. You fall asleep with the sound of the ocean and wake up to the birds' chirping and gorgeous sunrise above your windows. The beach access is adjacent to the property and distance to the beach is about 300 yards. There are several activities in close proximity including Sea Life Park (where you can swim with the dolphins and enjoy Chief's Hawaiian Luau with fire dancers). Or you can hike an easy trail up to the Makapu'u Lighthouse where you can whale watch in the winter months. Along a 10-minute breathtaking coastal drive you' can stop at Makapu'u and Sandy Beaches (watch or go boogy boarding), Blowhole, Hanauma Bay (Snorkeling) and arrive in Hawaii Kai with great restaurants, shopping and all sorts of activities from boating, jet-skiing, para-sailing, golf, etc.. Gille and Angela's place is absolutely perfect. Just a few steps away from the best beach in Oahu. We felt so safe with them on the same property. Gille cut us open some coconuts and Angela was always ready to help with whatever we needed. Thanks for an awesome stay!

The property was excellent. The pictures and description were accurate, so we expected it would be beautiful. In fact, it was much better. But our hosts, Angela and Gilles were truly exceptional. Gilles is a true gentleman, in the classic sense of the word, and Angela was delightful and very easy to talk with. What more could we ask for?

Cozy Cottage in Idyllic Beach Location
Our recent trip to Waimanlo Beach was the most relaxing stay I have ever had. The cottage is located about 250 steps from a 5 mile sandy beach in a comfortable beach neighborhood. The cottage had everything you need to feel at home and the hosts were generous with local knowledge and produce after living in the main house for 20 years.

Giles and Angela are exceptional hosts, always available but give you lots of space. The location is outstanding, away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close enough to drive in for the day, the beach across the street is beautiful and never crowded. Fantastic location - Best Beach
I can't say enough about this beach. It is truly a hidden gem. Expansive and not crowded. Amazing sunrises. We enjoyed having a full kitchen with laundry plus having full beach gear available. Snorkel, umbrella, chairs, boogie boards.

Best neighborhood in Oahu!
Gilles and Angela are gracious, helpful and friendly. We had everything we needed: fully equipped kitchen, beach towels, snorkeling, boogie boards, privacy. Steps from the gorgeous, quiet beach. We had our two grown kids with us and it was roomy and fun to relax after a day of activities. It surpassed our expectations and we hope to return.

Waimānalo is the way the North Shore used to be!
Almost all of Oahu has become too crowded and resortified, but Waimānalo is a throwback little community with a 15-mile per hour speed limit, a handy small-scale supermarket (Shima's), and an amazing practically empty sand beach that goes on and on. The cottage is one street in from the beach, and located between two beach accesses, so it is a fast and pretty walk to the endless sand. The cottage is in the back of the gated property (attached to the double garage for the main house) and separated from the main house by a lovely yard. The kitchen just begs for you to prepare meals in it, and there is a very nice grill on the deck as well as a large dining table with umbrella. Outdoor shower so you can rinse the sand off before stepping up to the deck, and washer/dryer around the back. A few changes have been made since the pictures were taken, but mostly upgrades (better sleep sofa in living room, new bedroom french doors, larger dining table on deck). And the cottage is full of artwork! Just a wonderful place to relax for a week or so.

Quiet, cozy and private cottage near one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The bed was very comfortable and loved the decor and island breeze (never needed to use the ac). Location was very convenient for us because we were only a 15 minute drive to family in Hawaii Kai.

All in all it was a spectacular week!! We highly recommend and Gilles and Angela couldn't have been nicer or more acommodating!

We had a spectacular time!
It exceeded our expectations...a cottage on a secluded beach in Hawaii for a whole month! The cottage description and photos were accurate. Entire place was clean, convenient, safe and secure, and lushly landscaped in a tropical way (nice big change from winter in Ohio.) Kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, appliances, etc. The owners, Gilles and Angela, were friendly, helpful, accommodating, plus interesting and fun to talk with. Location away from Waikiki and Honolulu was peaceful and quiet, but they were still only a short scenic drive away. The beautiful and uncrowded beach was across the street and down the access path. Cable TV and wireless internet were high quality. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was good, and patio was spacious and private. We had a spectacular time!

Quaint cottage in paradise
We stayed at this beautiful cottage from Nov 14-21st, 2018. It was well stocked with lots of beach supplies, dishes, towels etc. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. It was very close to an uncrowded and breathtaking beach. We had 2 adult children and ourselves and there was plenty of room. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Great location for a perfect cottage at a fantastic price
This cottage is in a great location with a five minute walk to a secluded beach. Behind the main house on a gated property, this property is the perfect size for a couple looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu or Waikiki, but your close enough to get to everything with a quick drive. Well stocked kitchen and all the towels you need for your trips to the beach! Gilles and Angela are wonderful and kind hosts.

Beautiful and private cottage next to Waimānalo Beach
Gilles and Angela were the perfect hosts and whilst the cottage is on their property we felt that we were secluded. The cottage is Immaculately decorated with beautiful furnishings and surf touches throughout. The bed was a little too soft but the room was cool with ocean breezes negating the need to turn on the air conditioning.
Gilles was really helpful with advice and tips about the surrounding areas, hiking and surfing spots.
If you want to avoid tourist resorts I higjly recommend this cottage.

Paradise in every way
This was my 9th time to stay at Gilles and Angela's place, so that right there should tell you something. Waimanalo Beach is just hands down the best beach anywhere, beautiful view, great sand, best swimming, never overcrowded, even on its busiest days (just the weekend). I have a ritual of having my coffee on the beach each morning and most days I'll see two or three joggers or others enjoying, but that's it. Where else in the world is that true on such a magnificent beach? If you have a car, you're just 20 minutes from Honolulu or Waikiki, Kailua and Hawaii Kai have many great places to shop and eat, but the large kitchen in the cottage provides you with all you need when you decide to stay home (which I do a lot!). The comfortable beds, even air conditioning in the bedroom (for those who, unlike me, don't prefer the gorgeous cool island trade winds all night in what I call the "breeze" room, where I always sleep). All the beach chairs and boogie boards you could want, large umbrella-covered deck with a big patio table, huge Weber barbecue; you can't find a better place. On top of that, Gilles and Angela are two of the best people anywhere: they will leave you your privacy, but are available when you need something. There isn't a better vacation spot...truly paradise in every way!

Great location!
We loved the cottage; especially the location. Waimanalo beach is gorgeous. There are several eateries within walking distance, and the fully equipped kitchen made eating in easy. The cottage had room for our entire family (we have three teenagers). We especially liked the sleeping porch where you can feel the soft island breezes as you sleep. Gilles and Angela were wonderful hosts - very friendly and helpful. We would love to come again!

We felt a little odd living on the same property as the landlords, but they are very nice, very accommodating people and provided everything we could possibly need.

My family and I stayed at Gilles' and Angela's cottage back in July and we couldn't be happier.
First, Gilles had no problem accommodating my family of 5 (2 adults, 2 younger kids, and a toddler) even though we were over the limit. Inside was cozy, welcoming, and just the right size. Everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable was available and there were even beach items such as bogey boards, chairs, and sand toys for us to use. The location was serene and peaceful and only a short walk across the street to a very beautiful beach. This is where you want to stay to truly have the Hawaiian experience, away from the crowds and traffic of the city. Mahalo, Gilles and Angela!

Gilles and Angela are the kindest people we have met on any vacation! They were the best hosts! We would go back just for their hospitality! On top of that the property is perfectly set up. We had our own home! It was close to everything and right next to the most beautiful beach ever! We watched the sunrise and took the most amazing pictures. We used all of the beach equipment that were generously offered to us! I just can't say enough great things about our stay! We will go back in a heartbeat! You have to book this and stay here!!
