About this house rental
Large luxury hand-built 7 bedroom custom home situated on 6 acres on the shores of Lake Michigamme. Large living areas can fit several families comfortably. Sleeps up to 20! (Small additional fees apply to parties over 16 guests) we also rent the property next door vrbo #1341493 (sleeps 12) perfect for a reunion or for a large gathering!!! Gourmet kitchen, 3 fireplaces, large covered porch, large deck facing water, hot tub, exercise room, sauna, wifi. Main level has beautiful master with lake views and soaking tub. Upstairs has 4 bedrooms with jack and jill baths/showers. The views are breathtaking from these rooms!!! Basement has 2 more bedrooms, 2 baths, a large media room, exercise room, sauna and a 2nd master and a bunk room. The home is all done with custom paint/ stone treatments, wood walls, beams, iron chandeliers and custom decor. It is opulent yet very comfortable and livable. The house lies on an amazing rock bluff overlooking the lake with arguably the best views of the lake! There is road access to the dock area as well as a gradually sloped walking path along the lake for guests of all ages. The dock lies off of a large stone patio with a built in fire-pit (for roasting hot dogs and smores!) as well as a large sand box for little ones who'd like to play. The dock is perfect for swimming (over 15 feet deep at the end) or fishing (we've caught perch, walleye, crappie, bass and pike). Or you are welcome to use our 2 ocean kayaks (untippable) to tour the waters. Take a paddle out to any of the nearby islands for a picnic! Make sure you get back to the house in time for the sunsets- because they are second-to-none! The whole house glows orange nearly every night as the sun sets directly out from the large floor to ceiling windows over looking the lake! They will take your breath away! Perhaps this is why Albert Einstein, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone used to frequent this lake for their get-aways as well! *A portion of our proceeds goes to help the homeless at home and abroad. This house was so perfect for our family of 7 adults, an 8 year old, and 5 month old! It had everything we needed and more! We loved the “poker room” and hooked out switch up to have game night, the sauna was incredible and inspiring me to build one in my basement, the kitchen was incredible and loved they had an extra kitchen in the basement! The owner was great to work and and quick to reply! Our family absolutely loved it here! Music on the Manitou on Wednesday night was a hit! Loved every single thing! Thank you!!

Beautiful, spacious property. The new (since our last visit 3 years ago) railings and front steps were wonderful -- much easier for our geriatric family members. We never did get the living room TV to work, but we didn't really care since there were so many other things to do. A knife sharpener and meat thermometer would be nice additions to the kitchen, although they may have been there and I just didn't find them.
Thanks so much for allowing us to rent --we definitely plan to come back!

The property, house, amenities and location were perfect. If you are looking for seclusion and nature, this is the place to go. My family loved it. I did not know the hot tub and sauna would be such a hit with my family. It was a memorable and fantastic week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Lake Michigamme cabin. Everything was as described. There was plenty of room for our party of 11 adults and 2 children and everyone had plenty of space. Although my father-in-law was not able to walk the path down to the dock, he was easily able to walk the "road" that takes you down to the same location just not along the side of the lake. Fishing was excellent off the dock with plenty of Rock Bass, smallmouth and a couple of Walleye. The kitchen was furnished with everything we needed and we were able to make large meals with ease. All members of our party are already asking when we are going back as they had such a good time.

Beautiful & Secluded
Beautiful property, spacious enough to fit a large family comfortably. Plenty of everyday items (ie: pots and pans and utensils), and a shared pantry that made it even better! Gorgeous scenery, and nicely tucked away.

What a beautiful property!
Our family rented both houses and it worked perfect. The property manager Rebecca was wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend this property.

Large facility off the beaten path with solitude
Facility is large and well equipped, many people can spread out here. Even though we liked the property, there were a few drawbacks. The road is gravel and four miles long, thus the solitude. The exterior needed some TLC, their were things lying around the yard and water front that were junky. The deck was cracked and weathered excessivley, the deck chair cushions were ratty looking and wet to sit on if it rained the previous day. The sharp kitchen knives were very dull and nothing to sharpen them on. There were several fireplaces and no convenient dry firewood and kindling, we were advised to use only one fire place. We purchased our own firewood at the Park and made our own kindling, with our own tools. The place was well supplied on other items, including games and reading material. We would consider staying here again, but are looking around.

Family and friends riding the trails
Beautiful property and plenty of room for the 12 of us. The lake was so nice to look at, unfortunately we didn’t have time to enjoy it.
Some of the furniture could be updated. The hot tub was really big and a few of us jumped in one night after a long day. Kitchen was stocked well and plenty of games to play. A few of the guys enjoyed the basement media room to watch a few games on.

We very much enjoyed our reunion at your home on Lake Michigamme. Your home is large and beautiful. There were 18 adults and one infant. We never felt crowded. Everyone especially enjoyed the kayaks, lily pad and that marvelous hot tub. We also enjoyed the most perfect warm weather; most unusual for the UP in late August.

Lakefront oasis
My friends and I spend a weekend away every year and this beautiful cabin was the nicest place we've stayed so far. So many amenities with the lakefront, hot tub and sauna yet totally excluded and serene. Was the perfect escape for our group. Would highly recommend to others.

Amazing property and location. Great getaway if you're looking to unwind and get away from the world for a week or so. The lake is beautiful, we brought our boat this trip and the ability to dock it right at the house is great! Rented jet skis as well. Fishing is hit and miss, first trip we caught walleye, pike, rock bass and croppie, enough to feed 24 people twice. Last trip was not as good, plenty of rock bass and croppie, only 1 walleye and 1 pike. Quite a few things to get out and look at, plan on at least a 45 minute drive to any of the destinations listed in the guest book. I would recommend this property to anyone and will most likely stay there again. Great job on hosting Mr. and Mrs. Feely, and amazing property.

The house was beautiful and well equipped. We had so much room for our family to spread out and enjoy the house - especially on the rainy days. We appreciated the relaxed vibe and the use of the games and toys and things we had forgotten. It was so nice to be back in the UP where my siblings and I grew up. Thanks Rebecca!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It’s a great place for medium to large group. It’s about a 31/2-4 mike ride to get to the trail but not bad in February.

Paradise
Although we don’t live far from this incredible property, we would’ve traveled much father to enjoy the perfection that is this house! The pictures don’t do it justice. Well appointed, thoughtfully stocked, and GORGEOUS!! Loved every aspect of the house and minute of our stay. Wonderful communication with the owner and helpful responses. Will be back! Thank you!!!

Stayed at the property for our annual guys snowmobiling trip! Plenty of space and accommodations in kitchen to feed 9 guys. Reasonable distance to trails. Beautiful property. Property owner very easy to work with and responsive to responding to my questions prior and during our stay. Hope to go back next year!

As a family we have spent this weekend together for the last 7 years and we alternate between Door County and the Upper Peninsula. We all agreed this was the best location we've ever stayed and we will definitely plan on staying here again. The grandkids were head over heels about the house and the grounds. They had a blast. What an incredible family getaway
We could not be more overjoyed with the weekend we had. The place was perfect for our family get together. The lake is a stunning spot for bonfires at sunset, the kitchen is perfect for gathering and chatting over coffee and cooking dinner. The porch is romantic in the morning light, as is the master bedroom. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you for everything!

All I can say is WOW!
This stunning home has it all! Perfect for families, couples, friends. The views are spectacular during the day but the real show was at night from the hot tub! The stars are incredible! House is equipped well, lots of towels and blankets, games, cookware, and life jackets. The fireplace in the sunroom was so nice and the beds were very comfortable. No expense was spared building this beautiful home! We will be back 😁�

Amazing property and house
The overall stay was amazing. Beautiful house. We wish we could have checked in earlier however the property owner let us check in a little early. Also wish the check out time was later than 10 am. But I also understand that they need to clean the house before the next guess

This was our second time staying at this amazing house. We had 11 adults and three children under 3. We always have everything we need. The house is so spacious that we don’t feel like we are on top of each other. We will be back!!

Lake retreat
This property is amazing. Great place to both unwind and bring people close together. There is so much to do and the house is immaculate. Booking is easy and the property manager is easily reachable. Nothing but positive things to stay. This is our second time and hopefully won't be our last.
