We came down for my granddaughter’s softball tournament. The rustic cottage was so cozy! Just steps away from the beach & a short drive to restaurants & shopping. Steve & Molly are great hosts!

The Best place to stay!! Our family loved the cottage. the walk to beach was super easy access. the house was clean, plenty of room for our family! The shower out back was absolutely perfect to wash the sand off from beach! The owners were very kind and easy to communicate with for even the smallest question. Without a doubt the best place weve stayed and we cannot wait to come back next year!

The 2 bedrooms worked out perfect for my son, his 13 year old son and his wife. The other bedroom was fine for my niece and I. Beds were very comfortable. Space for all in the living room and location was great for a short walk to the about the finest beach ever, sand was fluffy and clean, beach awesome.❤️❤️‼️would definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful experience. The house was clean, and has everything needed for a stay. We drive from PA so next year we know we only have to bring half the stuff we did. It was so nice having a washer/dryer and a shower outside. This was the first vacation to the beach that we didn’t have to bring dirty clothes home. Also because of the shower there was hardly any sand trecked in. Thank you Molly and Steve for a great experience. We will be back next year.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. Great house for the price. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the beach even if you take your time. Communication with the owners was excellent. No complaints at all. Definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

Great location. Quiet. Property as described.

The location and proximity to the beach was great! When we arrived, there was an awful smell coming from the closet area. There were fruit flies coming out of the drain. There was scotch tape over a lock. The door could have easily been kicked in or compromised. We even went so far as to go to the store to buy an odor eliminator, that did nothing for the smell. There was a roach found in the washing machine area. When we reached out to the owners, we were told to check under the sink for a spray. When we looked under the sink area, there were tons of cobwebs down there. My intention in writing this is not to be cruel, but to give an honest account of our experience. When we go back to the beach, we will not be staying here again. I feel that more attention could be paid towards cleanliness and safety. Vacations are supposed to be enjoyable and fun, not a time to be concerned about something coming our and crawling on you. I understand that the business of vacation homes and rentals is indeed a business, but unfortunately, I was unsatisfied with our stay. If there was a way to get some of our money back, that would be great as I feel this place was misrepresented.

We wanted a house close enough to walk to the beach everyday, multiple times if we wanted and this location was just right for us. Down to the beach, up to the cottage, great location and charming bungalow, we had an amazing weekend on the white sands and clear warm water of the Gulf. The air was fresh and the variety of restaurants and shops is great, lots of places to eat. We used the market and made our own meals in the kitchen. We were there just after labor day so the crowd was very relaxed, everyone seemed so happy at the beach and there is plenty of room to throw the football and take family photos in the sand. LOVELY! Well managed and just as we expected for a beach cottage weekend. Took my dogs for walks around the neighborhood, which was easier for them than walking in sand. great town!!!!

We like the old style Florida beach homes and this is perfect. I enjoy a more isolated beach experience so we went to all the area state and county parks to enjoy our quiet side of the beach time. It was great! Perfect weather and water was gorgeous. Would recommend.

We couldn’t get tv to work but we really didn’t need it. We left beds unmade as you requested and restocked what we used. We cleaned it really good. Thank you for a great time.

This little house was nice and cozy and perfect for me and my husband and Our two little dogs. The only problem we had were dealing with the Nats and how they were getting in to all of our food that we kept on the table. I know that is something that cannot be controlled by the owners but that did seem to be a problem. All in all it was very nice.

Our family stayed at the cottage. We walked to the beach every day. Loved that the house had beach “accessories” - chairs, sand toys, umbrella…. Also, loved the outdoor shower and hose. Used it every day. Place was clean. Lots of linens. Lots of space. Perfect for beach.

Owners could take more care in cleaning the property (perhaps hire an exterminator as we killed numerous cockroaches during our stay).They could use the services of a plumber as well as the water in the kitchen sink drains very slowly (there is no dishwasher). Nonetheless the house was as advertised, quaint little cottage close to the beach with plenty of room to sleep. There is an issue with parking on the sidewalk and the owners are very sensitive about this, despite the fact that the neighbors on both sides of our house had cars parked across the sidewalk, the house to the right of us for the entire time we stayed there. Be aware that if you do this, the owner will immediately contact you (they live right down the street) and be very insistent you take immediate action. Seemed over the top, but since our stay was only a week, I don’t know. I can say this: the entire time we were in Destin (6 days) we did not see one police officer.

We had the best week at the cottage. It was the perfect size for us. Very clean, well stocked with everything we needed. 2 min walk to the beach. Great location to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely book here again!!

Check in was really good , but ac was out for 3 days we was there and there was huge roaches, also the bedrooms don't have doors so its not very private, and it wasn't very clean , it was very close to the beach so that was amazing

The house had many amenities which was nice as we forgot some items like beach toys and beach chairs. The host was very easy to communicate with and super nice. Plenty of space in the house! Love that it has history to the house also.

My husband and I as well as our 2 adult sons came to Destin to surprise our daughter for her 40th birthday. The location of the home was perfect for meeting her for dinner and spending time with her and her family the next day. The house had everything we needed: in the kitchen, bathrooms, TV, Wifi. Thanks for having this house available for us!

Although brief walk to the beach. We couldn’t sit up umbrellas or chairs due to the restrictions of the resorts marking it off with signs and their property so we spent our time at Henderson park beach.
