This place was very clean and held our family of 11 very well. The part that was extremely disappointing was the communication with the property owner because there was absolutely no communication at all. Between questions and concerns we had before and during our stay only 1 thing was answered and everything else was ignored and not replied too. Also the description did not say anything about being close to a school which is not a problem except for parking durning the beginning and end of school hours. There’s only 1 spot for your vehicle and you’re so close to the school you’re stuck until school traffic is cleared. The water in the kitchen had horrible pressure and hardly ever got hot, the dishwasher didn’t wash the dishes so we had to hand wash everything. There was only 1 TV in the entire house and it wouldn’t turn on most the time. Lastly the WiFi would not work nor stay connected what so ever.

We had a very nice stay on Joseph St. This is a really nice property with plenty of room. The place is in excellent condition and the neighborhood is nice. The coffee maker was dead and within an hour there was a new one on the door. We had some internet issues and they were resolved. This is a great place to stay.

Myself and nine other people went to the K-State Sugar bowl! The house was great and there was room for everyone! Plenty of parking for all three of our vehicles. Great find!

I stayed here with 12 of my friends for my bachelor party. The neighborhood was quiet and a safe walk down to Ferret Street or a cheap ride to the CBD. We arrived in 3 vehicles and were able to street park successfully without any complications or headache, which for New Orleans is rare! The house is intimate but spacious enough to where we didn’t feel piled up. The bathrooms were clean with good hot water and good shower pressure. The router wasn’t working initially and the host was quick to respond and help solve the issue.
This place is great for large groups looking for a place to escape the city itself after spending your day or evening out.
Would book again!

It all started when we got there. We had multiple login instructions, and when we finally did get into the key holder, it was the wrong key. We had to call multiple numbers to get someone to help us, and finally they started responding. They’d left the wrong key and it would be at least 30 minutes until someone would be there. We were dropped off in an Uber, and it was over 100 degrees, so we grabbed another Uber (at our own expense) and went to a bar.
We sat there for over an hour and a half, and when I would text them for updates, etc. it took them forever to get back to us.
It turns out that we did have the wrong key, and they left the correct one for us. But they didn’t tell us they’d done so, so we finally just left and went back to see if they’d been there.
We got in, and the air conditioning was good. So that was nice.
The place was cold and cleaned okay, but there were a lot of roaches. Some of them even flew. The internet code was wrong, too. So we had to get clarification on that as well. We did finally all get on the internet, but it took some doing.
When we left, we put the key back into the lock box it was supposed to be in, but then a few days later, I got another text. They couldn’t find where we’d left the key. So I told them it was in the lockbox where it was supposed to be and they found it.
All in all, this was just an awful vrbo experience. I would not stay here again. The price was okay but the inconveniences and the roaches weren’t worth it.

Property was in a quiet residential neighborhood that had great local bars, restaurants, shops but was close to the French Quarter. The check in code did not work on the lock but our call was answered right away and we were given access through a different method. We were a bachelorette party with 12 adults and everyone had a bed, so the house can accommodate large groups.

Very enjoyable stay. This place is in a nice quiet neighborhood and still a very reasonable distance from anything you may want to do in New Orleans. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Perfect house for a long weekend in NOLA. Plenty of space and the pictures don't do the house justice. We love the Uptown location. Quiet and very safe area yet close enough to all the food and fun.

This house left a lot to be desired. It was missing some pretty basic amenities. There were only 4 forks, and the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty when we arrived. The internet and TV never worked during our stay, and messages to the host went unanswered. The downstairs bedroom does not have a/c, so if you stay in that room when it's warm you'll need to keep the door open. We also found boxes of bullets in the entryway cubbies in easy reach of our children, which was super disconcerting. On the plus side, the upstairs beds were comfortable and there were plenty of beds for our group. The neighborhood was beautiful, street parking was easy, and we were just a few blocks from a great playground for the kids and from Freret, which has some great restaurants and bars for the grownups. With just a few minor fixes this house could be really amazing, but it didn't feel worth the high price tag at all.

The house was great, clean, comfortable furnishings, great kitchen and plenty of room. The beds were not that comfortable but it's a rental. The location was perfect. Our only problem was we never got the wifi to work.

We have rented many properties through VRBO or Homeaway and the likes before, so we 've seen it all. This property was nice for our friends weekend in New Orleans. We had plenty of room to spread out and the location was just a few minutes from Freret street, which has tons of restaurants, and bars. We also were just far enough from Downtown not to be in a constant touristy area, and close enough that it only took 15 min. to get there. We just loved the location as it was a true New Orleans neighborhood! And not a touristy place. We were 3 blocks from Historic and beautiful St Charles avenue and its trolley! The houses in this neighborhood were just gorgeous and people were very nice. We were just a few blocks away from a small supermarket, which made it easy for runs for beverages and breakfast food. The owners were also great to deal with. They were very accommodating and let us check in much earlier than our designated time, they also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, activities , bars and much more, they even gave us some of their tickets to go to the Audubon Zoo, which was really cool to see! The owner also cooked a pot of Red beans and Rice for our group. It was delicious and much appreciated the night of our arrival, when everybody was tired and hungry! Thanks again for the great times Chris! See you again soon.

Overall, the experience was average. I've rented many homes on VRBO and Airbnb in the past, but this experience was particularly lackluster. The house is as described. The neighborhood is good. It's quiet but walking distance to a hip little strip and and a 20 minute drive to the French Quarter. The number of rooms and beds available are exactly as described on the listing. However, it should be noted that house is a duplex. 13 people in a living room is noisy regardless of how mindful they are. Add in the fact that we're in New Orleans, and let's be real, there will be some drinking- it's loud. We're a group of 30-somethings, so we've toned down a bit from our more rowdy days. But we were still asked to quiet down on Friday and Saturday nights. I chose to rent a house because I knew we'd be loud. I would likely have rented elsewhere if I knew this was a duplex. In addition, we had some issues with the house and communication with Chris. I messaged him a few times prior to our arrival, and I felt like I was bothering him. For example, he didn't know the answer to my question of, "are their toiletries in the house?" (There are). When we arrived, the code didn't work to get into the house. The neighbor let us in. I called Chris, but his answer wasn't clear to me how it was going to be fixed. About an hour after, I texted him telling him we fixed it ourselves. In addition, the fridge was broken the entire time. We learned this about 5 hours into our stay, and I texted Chris immediately. He told me that it had been broken before, but that he thought the repairman fixed it. My friend is diabetic and carries insulin, so we had to find a workaround for that. We also had to throw out all of the food that we brought that wasn't eaten the first day. Chris never offered an apology or any kind of fix (coolers, a credit, etc.). This could have been a huge problem if we planned to cook all our food. There are many chores to be done when you leave including stripping the bed, taking out all garbages, cleaning out (broken) fridge, etc. There's also a fee list on the closing details telling you what happens if you miss something. That seemed really condescending and left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I did receive my full deposit back. But I waited until I got it to write this review. To sum up, I would try to find a different place if I were you. But if you can't, I think it's fine in a pinch.
