About this house rental
What a great place to spend time with family, friends or just a romantic getaway for couples. Our house is just under 10 miles north of Lexington and only 2 miles from the village of Port Sanilac. This luxurious lake house sits directly on the Lake Huron shoreline and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation: breathtaking views, the sounds of the waves rushing in, a large game room for the kids (or adults), spacious living areas, a private heated indoor pool, kayaks & paddle boards to enjoy the water & lake toys to enjoy the beach! Our house can accommodate up to 20 people - including the detached guest house. There are 2 large decks facing the lake, 1 on the main floor off the kitchen and 1 off the master bedroom and a large brick patio with patio furniture on the lower level off the family room and pool room. This 5,000 square foot lakefront home is decorated with warm colors and tastefully selected furnishings. The house is completely furnished with stylish furniture and quality bedding and bath linens. The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Every detail has been taken care of! In the main house there are five bedrooms, two of which are master suites on the main floor with private bathrooms, and there are three upstairs. There are 4 1/2 bathrooms in the main house. There is also a private library with a sleeper sofa & gas fireplace that can be used as a bedroom if needed. Main Floor: King Master suite, Queen Master suite, Library w/ queen sleeper sofa. Second Floor: Blue room with one queen bed, Floral room with one queen bed, Dormitory with two queen beds & two single beds. On the lower level of the house, there is a family room with fireplace, a 50 inch TV and a fully equipped kitchen. Attached to the family room is an amazing pool room with a heated indoor pool. This room also has a full bathroom and a mini bar with sink. Included on the property is a private guest house with its own awesome view of the lake. It has a sitting area, kitchenette, a king bed, fireplace, full bath and a sleeping loft with one full bed & one single. There is also an amazing 1,000 sq. ft. game room on the property with a sitting area with tv, pool table, foosball, ping pong, & shuffleboard. Enjoy the large yard adjacent to the water with a beach fire pit - a great place to warm up on cooler nights or just sit back and relax, listening to the waves. The boat house (located by the lake) holds beach chairs, kayaks, paddle boards, and yard games. Take a walk along the beach and enjoy the quiet serenity of the Lake Huron side of the beautiful state of Michigan!

We had a great long weekend with our 5 kids, their spouses, 3 toddlers and 3 babies.
Plenty of room for all of us.
Enjoyed the pool, game room and even took kayaks out on a warmish February day! Lol
Hosts were great and answered questions via text very promptly.
House is well stocked and clean.
Internet was not strong even with the good system in place…although I did not check with hosts about it as we were trying to stay off devices!! Lol
I would recommend this property.

We absolutely loved our stay! The amount of space we had was amazing. There was so much room for everyone to do what they wanted (nap, play music with out waking up the nappers 🙂) The house was totally stocked with everything you could want or need. The lake views from every where were my favorite part. We watched a pair of eagles every morning looking for their breakfast.
Port Sanilac itself is adorable and there are two stores with in a few minute drive if you do need anything. We hope to visit again!

Our group of 17 educators enjoyed the space and the many offerings of both the house and the community. The water provided freighter sightings, rock hunting and beautiful views and sounds. We gathered, laughed and played games in the game room. We went into town to shop and then enjoyed a festive night in Lexington with the tree lighting. We had plenty of sleeping options and truly enjoying making new memories together. Thanks for a opening up your lovely home to us.

This property is unbelievable. We had all family from 2 to 80 years old. Beds were so comfortable. House was cozy. Game room was a huge hit. You really couldn’t ask for more amenities. The house was super clean.
The pool was not as warm as we would have liked. I called and the owners sent maintenance person out. Unfortunately it did not remedy the problem. The little area that was the hot tub was definitely 85 degrees, but the swimming area was between 78 and 80. Heat shuts off in pool at 7 p.m. so swim early.
Would definitely book again.

Such a beautiful property. Clean and spacious, so many things to do. The pool and game room were awesome. Check in was no problem and check out was easy. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We never saw a neighbor or anyone while we were there. A truly terrific destination!

This is a very unique property! I brought my 3 adult children and their families and we appreciated the space to spread out as well as come together and hang out, play games or swim. The game room was so fun, kids enjoyed it almost as much as the adults! Each night we could put the kids to bed and then play games and talk without worrying about waking anyone up. Although the weather didn’t allow us to really enjoy the water, we had a great time finding shells and skipping stones. We had a beautiful night that we were able to make a bonfire and had plenty of chair for everyone. Pool was fun, although it’s quite a bit cooler than the 84° mentioned, but the kids didn’t notice! Kitchen is well stocked, we had everything we needed to prepare and cook our meals.
Only suggestion is to have the housekeepers pay more attention to dust and dirt in corners, under tables and chairs. Otherwise, we had a terrific time. Thank you!

Ellen was very easy to work with, quick with responding to questions. The beach area is rocky (and slippery) - we took advantage of the water shoes that were provided (as well as the paddle boards, inner tubes, etc.) - and the pool.
The stairs are a bit steep - but a baby gate was up and there are good hand rails. (We also used the two pack-n-plays that were provided.)
Plenty of room for all of us. The game room was a big hit - pool, ping pong, shuffle board. Several of us rode the bikes into town (on the "busy" street for just a short stretch). The deck, patios, and the fire-pit down by the lake were also great gathering spots.
There is a grocery store nearby and several restaurants - but with this wonderful house, we mostly stayed put!

Spent the weekend in this home for a women’s retreat with a group of 19 women. The location is absolutely beautiful! The home was great for our group. Great kitchen with everything you’ll need to prepare meals on site. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. We also enjoyed the indoor pool. What a bonus!

The house and extra building were great. Game room in garage was fanatics and all the kids love the various game tables. We had a group of 19 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The indoor pool was a big hit and a life saver because the beach and lake are so rocky, they are almost unusable. Also, the lower patio wasn't very clean, there was a lot of dirt on the patio and cigarette ashes all over the furniture and cushions.

This is a “ compound “ that consists of a large and beautiful main house, nearby smaller “ cabin- like” guest house, and separate large building that has a game room. All very nice!
We came for 5 nights for family reunion and there was toddler, preteen, teenager and rest 3os thru 70 year olds. Home accommodated everyone with plenty to do. Younger ones enjoyed game room and indoor pool. While others appreciated the peaceful setting on Lake Huron - sunning on back deck or beach, and evening fires in fire pit. We also did enjoy going into nearby city of Lexington to shop and sightsee. Lastly all loved finding a great restaurant close-by called The Stone Lodge and eating delicious fresh seafood- lake perch and walleye!
Overall if you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting near a pristine lake - this is the place!

Our family of 20 enjoyed 5 nights at this home. There was so much to do for everyone between the pool and the game room. We even had a nice day to spend outside. Everyone wanted to stay longer.

This property is amazing. It is right on beautiful Lake Huron. We came here for a family weekend and it did not disappoint. Children and adults both enjoyed the pool and game room. Tons of extra amenities in this home. Highly recommend.

Just a quick getaway with family before the holidays. We had ten adults and one child and the place never felt small.
It was an amazing time. Could not have asked for more. Even though we would have enjoyed the hot tub (which is not working) it did not take away from the enjoyment of the pool, game room, the great views, and the home itself. Would definitely do it again.

The home has many amenities and a fully stocked kitchen. The pool and game room were thoroughly enjoyed by the family...even with a broken tv. My Dad especially loved watching the freighters on Lake Huron.

We had a great time while staying at this home! Family was visiting and there was plenty to do: from the huge game room to the pool and we cannot forget the kayaks! My daughter was so excited to finally try out a kayak and she had so much fun! We all enjoyed the pool and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out! Thanks for an awesome time and we will be back next year!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Anything you could ever want and/or need for entertainment is there. The home is beautiful, the kitchen was stocked with whatever was needed and the beds were very comfortable. We ranged from 2 years old to 100 years old! It was amazing that the queen master suite was handicap friendly. When we asked our kiddos their favorite part (ages 2-18) they immediately said “the game room!” It’s a beautiful place for every age! My favorite part was being able to listen to the waves as we drifted to sleep. Perfect. We would highly recommend this property!

We loved staying here. This house was extremely unique and a rare find for a rental! Our favorite parts were the gorgeous view of the lake, pretty cool indoor pool, and amazing game room. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the house had all the amenities we needed during our stay. Would love to come back and stay for a future visit.
