Superb Apartment and Best Location: What Else?
About this condo rental
Half way between Spanish Steps and Saint Peter and perfect for your touristic trips, the apartment is also at the hearth of real Rome, where restaurants, shops, facilities are set up for Romans and are not devoted only to tourists. No car needed: walking distance from attractions. All sort of transportation just around the corner, but not necessary in nearly all activities. My apartment in Rome (yes, it is directly rented by the owner) has two large and comfortable bedrooms, plus two sofa beds in the sitting room, hosting easily 7 adults or 6 adults and 2 children. Has two complete and well designed bathrooms and a proper kitchen with all the appliances -new and updated- you would need to cook even for a large party. A balcony for relax, air conditioned, central heating, a safety front door, a lift, a gate keeper and even a box for your car-if needed-: not easy to be found. It is full of daylight and very well furnished with some pieces of art. It has quality wooden furniture and household linen, but is up to date for television, telephone and wifi. You will choose to come back home to enjoy and relax. You will live as the Romans do, in an area very alive and very safe too.

We stayed here to celebrate our 50th birthdays and the location of the apartment is superb, close distance to the Vatican and you can walk from the apartment and take in all the big sights on Piazza Novana, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps easily.
Overall we found the apartment to be clean, tidy and spacious and the owner was happy to help with good suggestions for restaurants. Beds were comfortable for a good nights sleep after a busy day seeing the sights.

For the most part, we enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Nice location and neighborhood; apartment nicely furnished. Could have been a little cleaner - floors, throw rug in bathroom, etc. Overall, it was fine.

We are a couple with a granddaughter and good friend on a family trip to Italy, the place we stayed was perfect! Very spacious, close to the places we visited and clean. The check I’m process was easy and our hostess was very responsive to all our (many) inquiries. We look forward to coming back!

We had such a good experience in Rome. The location can’t be beat! The apartment was clean, but could use a few updates on decor. The owner is so responsive to any questions & gave us so many recommendations & suggestions. She made our trip very comfortable.

Location was ok, but there were things we didn’t like about the apartment. The showers were a problem. The hallway bathroom water was not contained and would spread out all over the floor and even out into the hallway making a big mess to clean up. There was mildew all around the showers and floors that obviously wasn’t being regularly cleaned. The towels smelled funky. There were no trash cans in the bathrooms or bedrooms. The bidet had a drain that would automatically drop closed with no way to open it and I wasn’t about to reach my hand down into the dirty water to open it to drain it!! The air conditioning kept blowing the breaker. The manager told us not to use the washer and the oven at the same time, but we never used any other appliances. Only the air conditioners and the lights. Next time, I will choose a different place to stay.

BEWARE!!! This property is not as it appears. It is dirty, missing lightbulbs in fixtures, the bathroom was full of black mold, the bedding smells dirty, the towels look dirty. We complained after night one, they did send a cleaner in. We returned fro our day and it did smell cleaner. Someone had to come in and scrape the mold off the shower walls. There is still black mold that runs across the ceiling in the bathroom. The living room is missing curtains off 2 windows, there is random broken furniture (a shelf in the bathroom broke, fell on my foot and cut my toe. There is some weird piece of exercise equipment in the bedroom plus a 15 kg kettle bell. We needed to do laundry but the washer was so dirty inside we couldn’t wash our clothes (it was later cleaned). Please don’t waste your money on this place you will be very disappointed.
I will say Marco was great and addressed our concerns, however he is not the owner and it’s very obvious rhe lady who does own it does not care about the people she rents to, just the money!!!!

Very spacious apartment. Plenty of amazing restaurants and small grocery stores. Walking distance to the Vatican and hop on hop off bus.

We were able to secure this poetry for a short stay before departing Italy. It turned out to be a gem and we look forward to a longer stay in the future. The apartment was large, secure and very well furnished in a great neighborhood. Minutes from the Metro and short walks to some of the best areas in Rome for dinning and entertainment.

We stayed here at the beginning of August. Apartment is very large and very convenient to the major sites. We walked everywhere. There are shops and restaurants very close. We only had one issue, the bed linens had a very sour smell to them in both bedrooms. After our first night we reached out to the host and they very quickly responded and changed the linens. However, the linens in the 2nd bedroom were changed with linens that also had a very sour smell. You could smell them even when walking past the bedroom. We reached out again to the host and never received a reply. This smell is very disturbing. The property listing says washer/dryer, but it is only washer so we weren't able to wash the sheets and get them dried in time to use them again at night. We stayed five nights so this was a problem not to have a response for 4 days. If you stay request an extra set of all sheets in advance of your stay so that if you need to get the smell out (washing in white vinegar will remove the sour smell linens get if they were left wet in a washing machine too long) you will be able to wash a set and let them dry (it took 24 hours for our clothes to dry on the drying rack.) One other thing to note is the two twin beds are extremely low to the ground. If older people need to use this room this may be difficult for them.

A perfect base. We were able to walk everywhere from this apartment, even with a 4 yr old. The local area had shops and restaurants and everything we needed for a perfect stay in Rome

We stayed there for 5 nights. This is a very spacious 2-br apartment, with artistic touch throughout the apartment. Great location, with plenty of stores and restaurants just downstairs and walkable to Vatican etc. The beddings are not the most comfortable, but we are OK with that.

Roshan was there to greet us and assisted us everyday of our stay. Whether accepting deliveries, pointing us in the right direction, or just general information. He even went to the pharmacy for us when allergies flared. Would highly recommend a stay. Almost everything was in walking distance.

great property- within walking distance of Vatican and other major tourist spots. Owner was great communicating through the process - helped set up transportation to and from the airport, gave recommendations for restaurants etc. Apartment is exaclty as described but I thought it was far more spacious than I had thought from the listing (plenty of room for our family of 5). Excellent stay - I highly recommend

Excellent apartment in a great neighborhood; Lucilla, the owner, was very helpful and Roshan, the on-site superintendent , was pleasant and helpful as well.

Apartment is in a good location. Did a lot of walking, taxi was available easily also. Rashon (manager) was available at 7:00 am to help us with where we were going for the day. Using the fold out couch in living room was good. Curtains on windows would have been nice for privacy. Balcony was cute & refreshing. Nice large rooms. Had a great vacation. Thank you.

Apartment and location were wonderful! Walked just about everywhere. Loved the 75 year old elevator that saved these old knees. Give Pops Cafe around the corner a try for American breakfast. Will be back!

The place was a good size for 6. There were some hiccups with the WiFi for the first day but they were resolved. It would be nice to leave more towels out rather than what was laid out. It was not enough for 6 people. Also instructions for the washer would be nice; it is quite different than US brands. Overall, I would recommend the location.

Great apartment, fully equipped with everything you would need. Lucilla was very responsive to a small problem that arose and fixed it immediately, thanks!

This beautiful welcoming apartment located in the walking distance from all famous sightseeings yet you have a privacy of a quiet street. Spacious and very clean. The owner was very helpful and provided all useful information. Our family enjoyed the stay tremendously! Thank you!

My wife and I booked a long-term stay, working remotely from this lovely apartment, and Lucilla was the perfect host for our needs. We loved the apartment so much that we're already talking about going back to this VRBO next year to do it again :D. The location was perfect to be able to go and see Rome during the day - walking into the museums in old town or taking a quick taxi - but the neighbourhood felt nice and residential, away from the tourist hoards. There were several grocery store options nearby and MANY amazing restaurants, and we loved being able to take a stroll at night on "coffee breaks" to look at the beautiful architecture or walk along the Tiber.
The apartment is HUGE, very big rooms, very clean and well taken-care off, well decorated, and we never heard anyone in the surrounding units. We really liked that the main living space had its own set of doors so that when friends stayed with us they could have some privacy. Great air conditioning. WiFi was very fast and reliable and the work desk was big and easily convertible for two work spaces.
The kitchen was very nice, new appliances and plenty of cooking implements. We did have some issues with water overflow in both showers (the main bathroom shower door leaks if you point the water at it even after adding more stripping) but Lucilla was very responsive on resolving the issue and it didn't impact the usability or our stay at all. She also left us with a ton of sheets, towels, bedding options and many pillows. This is one of the best stocked VRBOs I've stayed in. :D
There were several different bed options - like many European beds I found them a bit uncomfortable, but an Amazon mattress topper solved the issue (present for you, Lucilla!). The main bathroom toilet was also very old and got old-streaks after a couple weeks of use. The 'sewer smells' mentioned in other reviews occasionally happened at night and I think are pretty normal for a sewer system that age?? It was easy to air the place out.
Overall we highly recommend this apartment for travel groups of any size, it would be a fantastic solution with tons of space for three couples or groups of friends.

We enjoyed our short stay very much. Great location to many sights we wanted to see as well as nice little restaurants all within walking distance. The owner setup transportation from and to the airport which was very convenient for 5 of us. The apartment is spacious and the air conditioning was fabulous after a very hot day of touring the area. The one discrepancy I would say is the VRBO listing says 3 bedrooms, and describes how many beds in each of the "4" bedrooms, however in the written description it is more accurately noted that there are 2 bedrooms and "beds" in the sitting area. We made do with the sleeping arrangements for 5. The owner also provided very detailed and helpful information about restaurants and other useful information.

Challenging stay.
We had issues with the accommodations from the beginning. We contacted the manager and received little assistance. The second bedroom had two twin beds on the floor on boards. Very uncomfortable. The sofa bed had no linen and no towels for our guest. We did pay an extra 240 euros for this person. The first night we found one sheet on the sofa bed and no towel that had been pre-charged. A sheet and one towel was delivered the second day. By that time our guests decided to move on.
The second bathroom has strong sewage odor that did not go away due in part to a faulty shower that leaked out of stall.
The rest of our party left the apartment early due to these issues. We contacted the manager a few times by email with no response.
We finished out our stay out of necessity with no satisfaction to our request for a rebate.
We certainly feel we were not treated fairly if not deceived by the owner.

Spacious flat
Walkable to all the places and easy to get a taxi for other places. Safe.
There wasn’t any hot water. Also I could not find any eating utensils. No forks or spoons. Only 1 towel per person and no wash clothes which may be cultural. I’m American. I didn’t ask the host for these things which may have been Remedied.

Very comfortable and convenient
Happy with everything about the property. Kitchen could’ve been cleaner but we didn’t use it. Towels need replacing. Owner very responsive and would certainly stay here again.

We absolutely loved staying at this property. We were close to so many awesome sites, great food, coffee, shopping. Definitely a place I would go back to. Our proprietor was fabulous. Any questions were answered quickly. Definitely consider staying at this property, yoh won’t be disappointed!

This is a great apartment: just the right facilities and not too much of what you don’t need. The kitchen is small but ideal for a short trip with a lovely big fridge freezer for all the bottles of water (!). Great area for connecting to the centro storico or nipping up to the metro. The terrace is lovely after a long day. The 3 main rooms are good sized and meant as we were a group of 3 we had our own space. Beds are really comfy!!! We’d definitely return. Thank you Luc!

Great location for exploring Rome
The apartment is spacious and attractive. The ceilings are high, and there is a small inner balcony to sit and drink coffee or wine. The owner is very kind and helpful, and speaks excellent English. The location is fantastic for exploring the historic center of Rome by foot. Downsides are the apartment is on the first floor in a relatively busy rural neighborhood, and sound travels up, so we found it quite loud at night and sometimes difficult to sleep. Previous guests had not cleaned the dishes and cups well, and there were some minor maintenance issues (for example the drain in one of the showers was partially clogged causing water to overflow, and there was a smell coming from the drain in the second shower). All the negatives are quite minor, however, and we would definitely stay there again.

Christmas in Rome
We enjoyed our stay very much! We did experience a few issues but we were able to get most resolved, except for the coffee maker situation. Fortunately we also had use of an espresso machine. The apartment is just as pictured, very large and airy, high ceilings. Location is convenient for Vatican and easy to cross river to all other historical sites. We walked almost everywhere. Tons of fantastic restaurants right on the same street and in the Prati neighborhood. We did experience a lot of noise late night from people hanging out on the street. Could not figure out why since it was a very quiet neighborhood, no open late clubs around. Didn’t see that mentioned in any of the other reviews and it was annoying some nights. I would still recommend staying here to experience life in a Rome! And the decorations at Christmas all over the city were spectacular.

Loved the location. Liked walking to everything in Prati but could also walk across the Tiber and be on via del corso in minutes. Lots of good food and bars nearby. Also choice of supermarkets and markets in the area. Apartment was light and spacious with a good size kitchen. In fact all rooms were a good size. Small problem with smelly drain in second bathroom. Heating is controlled centrally and air conditioning is not reverse cycle. Owner was lovely and very helpful. Check-in and out very simple and we used her to obtain transfers to and from airport.
