We were greeted with the news that we could not use the restaurant facilities because there were other functions. These lasted well after midnight with children running and shouting that could be heard from our room. We hardly had a good night sleep. On checking out we complaint about the fact that we could not use the restaurant and the load noise. The girl at the reception desk just voiced her apology for the situation and that was it. At a price of over âŹ330 a night, this was not acceptable and we will definitely not choose this hotel another time, even though this was our third visit.

wonderful serene setting excellent spa and restaurant and fantastic breakfast Rooms very comfortable Villa Nerisâ own wines were some of the best we tasted during our Siciy Trip
shower in our room was a bit odd and small. Food at the restaurant was excellent but the full tasting menu was a lot of food would have preferred smaller courses

Lovely pool, good setting and views
Limited choice in restaurants, in quite an isolated spot.

The property is close to the Etna volcano wine yards area. Itâs good to stay there if you are planning a wine tasting trip.
The building is nice, the design is also pretty,
The breakfast was awful: the choice is small, the waiters donât speak english and donât understand basic requests. The buffet doesnât get refilled. The eggs were finished by 10am (the breakfast was until 10:30), thatâs why we ordered omelettes which were prepared at the station right at the buffet area. At the check out we had to pay separately for the omelets and fresh juices. The breakfast restaurant was understaffed, we were waiting for 20 min, standing by the counter until our omelets and juices are ready.
The staff at the reception is unfriendly and not willing to help.
When we arrived in our room the toilet was dirty. Somebody clearly used it before. There was toilet paper in the toilet bin. No apologies, no upgrade offered. A heavy door handle in the bathroom was broken and fell off sever times, once it fell on my foot which was very painful. Again, vague apologies, no upgrade. The door handle was finally fixed on our last day.
When next day after we arrived I mentioned that the toilet was dirty (which is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for a 5* hotel), the answer from the reception was: âYes, but you itâs clean. Our cleaning people are doing their best to clean your room nowâ
The big swimming pool outside is so cold, there are not many people who dare to swim in it. It doesnât have a heating system.
The general iteration from the staff was, that they are arrogant and trying to get rid of you asap.
I normally donât like to write bad reviews, especially if hotels are willing to listen and are open to suggestions for improvement, but the arrogance of this people was astonishing.
I also normally donât stay at the hotels with the rating below 9.1 (this one had 8.8). This hotel was another reminder for me that the rating system is typically quite accurate.

Villa Neri was a fantastic hotel and destination. We spent 3 nights for our honeymoon and couldn't fault anything. It is a peaceful and immaculate location with views of Mt Etna. The hotel itself is spotless and the room we had was spacious and very comfortable. The pool area is stunning and the spa very relaxing. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they sorted our last minute car hire and arranged wine tasting (should definitely try!) with no issues and were always excellent with advice. The breakfast is superb, something for everyone and all excellent quality. It was our treat to stay there and would thoroughly recommend.

The hotel interior design, pool and grounds were stunning. Amazing spa that you can book to have all for yourself. Breakfast selection was good. Our 'standard' room was massive with a big bathroom. Lunch food options were tasty if a little expensive. Overall a great place for a tranquil getaway.
Service was a mixed bag and we didn't have the warmest of experiences with reception. The waterfall shower was unfortunately broken and couldnt be fixed during our stay.

Villa Neri met and handled every request we had, from transportation to a local winery to reserving us a restaurant when there was an issue at their location. Early check-in was allowed and they let us use the pool before check-in time. They took care of every need, and worry we had. We will be back to enjoy the spa and restaurant!
Nothing.

The pool, outdoor area and views are beautiful. The staff is nice and they make you feel welcome and at home (great staff, in particular, at the spa, and also at the restaurant, where we had dinner one evening with an outstanding service from the maitre and sumiller). Nice gesture of upgrading out room (free of charge) and some welcome drinks. Best bed weâve slept in so far in Italy : ) I totally recommend Villa Neri and its restaurant.
The bathroom is not very practical (tiny shower, poor light). Pool could have longer opening hours. But these are minor details to be honest.

Villa's location and pristine territory and facilities are amazing. Very close to Gambino Winery, which, in my opinion, is the best o that side of Etna. Staff are all friendly and amazing. My room was generously sized with an amazing shower/bath room. Little terrace was very nice to spend the evening on.
While being very friendly, helpful and professional, the staff were not always available and for a number of times I had to go search for them around after having had waited 5-10 minutes

The hotel was so beautiful and serene. It's surrounded by farmland and you can see & smell it [in a very good way]. Mt. Etna is right there in the background. There's a beautiful pool to lounge around as well as a spa. It's been a long 2 years without traveling and I could just check out mentally, read, and just be.

We had a great time at Villa Neri. We are a family of five, the room we were offered was one of the most comfortable ones we have stayed in anywhere in the world! on top of that, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and made all of us feel welcome. we had a couple of delicious dinners at the restaurant, accompanied by some amazing wines - the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wines of the region and we loved hearing about them and trying some of his recommendations.
We will definitely try to come back to experience mount Etna more and we could not think of a better place to be based in.

Gardening outside is beautiful and the breakfast was good.
First room was extremely noisy and the shower was too small for an adult. After complaining we moved to a bigger room that was still noisy. The mattress is not comfortable at all. Decor is gloomy with low quality furniture. The bathroom in the second room was nice but the bathtub is too big and extremely not comfortable.

The property was stunning, a beautiful and elegant villa sprawling onto lush gardens, an enormous pool and lovely sun beds surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.
The staff were all wonderful, helpful and welcoming.
The dinner at their sublime restaurant was outstanding. The staff and the sommelier were incredibly educated in the gastronomy and enoculture of the terroir.
The owner Mr Neri enjoyed meeting all the diners at every table. He gifted us a bottle of their own EVOO. A treat!
The quality of the bed sheet. It could have been finer.
Everything else was perfect!

The room we had was huge with a balcony overlooking the pool and onto the crater. The food in the restaurants was delicious and the service was excellent. The gardens are stunning and the pool area is lovely. The entire hotel and grounds are spotlessly clean.
The pool was pretty cold, even by Irish standards! Our kids could not stay in for too long when they would normally be in the pool all day. The WiFi was spotty at times and as there is almost zero mobile reception so we relied on it quite heavily.

Lovely modern hotel with good size rooms, lovely garden and pool.
We enjoyed the spa although, due to covid restrictions it wasn't fully open.
A good breakfast buffet taken on the terrace.
Great location to explore the Etna region.
We were envious of the rooms with a terrace and wish we had known to book one of these.
The bar area is a bit soulless - the lighting is a bit harsh but this is obviously knit picking!

We booked this hotel precisely to have a calm day around the beautiful pool and enjoy the facilities, given the isolation of the property. We arrived to the bad surprise that the pool and all the outdoor areas were closed for an event. They offered a very small pool alternative at another property. Our rooms were upgraded but there was nothing to do and we wasted a day of our holiday. We should have been informed, without question. The experience was very poor value for the price.

Paolo, Kalmesh, and all the staff here are so professional & passionate about their jobs - it was so great to see their smiling faces at breakfast, lunch & dinner & get their recommendations. Everyone goes above & beyond - from organising transfers & excursions tailor made to your requirements - to packing a little doggy bag for your long journey ahead. Thank you!
Nothing - the only thing Iâd say is that the shower is a little tight on space.
Massage could have been a little stronger but really these are little things.

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, great atmosphere.
Amazing spa and breakfast!

absolutely beautiful hotel, calming and peaceful as it was remote and in a nature reserve. The pool is beautiful (but freezing!) and lunch by the pool under the olive trees heavenly. The food was excellent, the staff so friendly and helpful. Very covid safe. The bedroom was beautiful, spacious and the bathroom, the shower particularly absolutely excellent. They also produce their own excellent wine and olive oil. Even room service was immaculate.
The spa wasn't great, the jacuzzi water was cold and the massage was ok but it didn't feel like she really knew what she was doing. We weren't there for the spa so everything else was perfect.

The staff was very helpful with the meals. Although I did mention in advance that we are vegan the selection was zero. The kitchen had to be inspired by us but weâre helpful
The Management did not adapt to corona times. The spa was still open same hours although the guest are limited and cleaning in between takes times they opening hours should be extended from 7 to 20h and not 11 to 19h. We also wanted to do a wine tasting but all needs to be booked in advance , so no flexibility there. They could offer wine tastings at special hours I want to be inspired in my holidays and not plan each second by myself . Who ever designed the shower must be very very skinny and has a different way of seeing proportions. The shower head huge the shower cabin 50x50 cm max . Maintenance could be a little better some lights did not work
