You can also enjoy the famous neighborhoods known for its nightlife - Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré. The apartment couldn't be better located, you can visit, within walking distance, the most interesting points of Lisbon: - Santa Justa Elevator (2 minutes walking) - Convent of Carmo (2 minutes walking) - Saint -Roque Church (4 minutes walking) - Saint-Roque Museum (4 minutes walking) - Praça D. Pedro IV, also known as Rossio Square, in the city centre (3 minutes walking) - St. George's Castle and Alfama district (10 minutes walking) - Praça do Comercio and Arco da Rua Augusta (10 minutes walking). The apartment is very well located next to all kinds of public transport: - Metro - The apartment is located 5 minutes walking from the Baixa-Chiado metro station and 3 minutes walking from the Restauradores metro station. - BUS - Bus stops in Rossio Square 3 minutes walking. - Trams - The famous Tram no. 28 (and other Trams no. Ricardo & Stella are excellent hosts - there to meet us at check-in and wouldn't leave until we were au fait with everything in the appartment! Prior to arrival Ricardo sent a lengthy message via VRBO detailing restaurants, places to see and other relevant info.
The appartment was spotlessly clean and ideally situated to visit the city centre sights.
Would we stay here again - of course!!

We could not have picked a better spot than Ricardo’s apartment in the Chiado district of Lisbon. We walked everywhere just for pure enjoyment. The train station (Rossio) is a 2- minute walk. Great for grabbing the train to Sintra for the day. Trolley, bus and Metro are all right down the street but walking and exploring right around the apartment was fun also. We had a great Fado dinner just a few blocks up. It was nice taking an evening stroll back. The apartment itself was clean, safe and fully equipped with anything you could want, even coffee in the morning! My clothes were wrinkled from being in the suitcase put there was an iron and ironing board there. I loved the large windows which provided us with fresh air and lovely views. The bed was comfy and the shower was great! What more could you ask for? And Ricardo was super helpful getting us oriented to his city. We spent 9 days at his charming place and would love to return someday. Lisbon has stolen my heart. I would recommend this spot to anyone, especially seniors or those who don’t want to struggle with their luggage up several flights of stairs. Ricardo’s place is on the ground floor.

This apartment was just as advertised. Great, fun decorations, modern, lively, plenty of rooms and space to relax and QUIET, yet in the heart of everything. Just enough amenities to make it comfortable, comfy bed, updated shower (but tiny bathroom, so be ready!), and the location is unbeatable. We stepped right outside our door to amazing food, scenery and activity. Again, amazingly quiet in the apartment, there was never a concern of safety or noise. Very clean, safe, enjoyable place to call home base as we explored Portugal. Estela had amazing recommendations for everything and was so nice and helpful. Listen to her on the Pastel de nata recommendation. Hands down the best! If we get the opportunity to visit Lisbon again, I will not look for any other apartment, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for helping make a wonderful experience!

Good location.
However, they had no Air Conditioner in the unit and we were miserably hot at night as the fans did not keep the unit cool enough for us.
Also, the toilet (especially for men) was quit small. I am average height for a man and could not stand up to go to the bathroom because of the ceiling height.

Excellent apartment in the heart of Lisbon. Easy to get around to see the sites and for casual walks. Fantastic restaurants nearby to experience the local culture and food. Ricardo went above and beyond to welcome us. A truly memorable experience for us.

This apartment is ideal for small families or groups of 2-3 that really want to experience old town Lisbon. The apartment could not be more centrally located. Great bars and restaurants are all around, and you are within an easy walk of several metro stations. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, but in a way that lets the charm of the historic building shine through. There's a constant flow of foot traffic on all sides and a steady stream of cars and tuk-tuks in front of the apartment. We loved the "buzz" and people-watching opportunities this provided, but it may not be for everyone. Like all of old town, the streets and sidewalks are cobbled and steep, so keep this in mind as well. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and accommodating. On the whole it was a wonderful stay, and among the best apartment rentals I've ever experienced.

Stayed here for four nights with a friend. The apartment is so clean and well appointed. The welcoming gifts were a lovely touch. Great communication with owners. A great location- you can walk to everything and get an Uber in minutes. There is only one downside- it is quite loud all throughout the night both on the streets and in the building. But that’s part of staying in downtown Lisbon. Just bring your earplugs or plan on staying up late! Despite this we would stay here again without question. 5 stars! The property was in a perfect location, walkable to almost everything, and very close to bus stops and metro. There were only 2 of us, but the apartment could have accommodated more. The apartment was wonderfully decorated and a great space to stay in. Ricardo and Estela were very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved this very cool retro-modern designed apartment a lot! Estela was so kind and very helpful! The apartment is so clean and cozy, and the bed is perfect! The neighborhood is wonderful!
I am not a person who walks a great deal, but it wasn't a problem. From the apartment we walked to Praça do Comércio, Elevator de Santa Justa, Livraria Bertrand (the oldest running bookstore in the world), Martim Moniz to catch Tram 28, and Rua Augusta. The only places we didn't walk to were Belém Tower and Castelo de São Jorge, we took taxis.
Try the bacalhau with chickpea mash (made with cumin) at the Duque restaurant across the street. It was very tasty! And up the street at Cru, they have the best Japanese food! Very fresh and yummy seaweed salad, tempura, gyoza and of course, sushi!
When we return to Lisboa, we will definitely stay here again!

The apartment was just right for 2 people. It was clean and location was great for visiting all the tourist spots in Lisbon. Beds were comfortable and I really loved the shower. Anything you need for cooking was provided. check in was easy . We would definitely recommend and stay here again

Ricardo and Estela’s property is not only in a perfect location, it is a wonderful and beautiful apartment. Every little detail is been thought of and provided. It is decorated like a stunning home, not the usual rental. Ricardo and Estela provided a ton of information in the unit, including diagrams of how to use the washing machine (very appreciated!), restaurant recommendations, favorite attractions, etc. They also provided lots of this type of information ahead of time. I found this very helpful in the planning stages of our trip.
I cannot say enough about this beautiful apartment and it’s owners. We can’t wait to return!

I had the best grilled sea bass at The Duque, right across from the apartment and the Wine Bar had some wonderful Fado! My one and only complaint that I have is it is quite noisy at night! So if you are a light sleeper I highly recommend earplugs! I definitely would stay here again though!

The property was as pictured – modern, clean, comfortable - with a professional host who was generous with a personal welcome and orientation on what was a late arrival because of airline delays (midnight). He even included a nice bottle of wine to celebrate our arrival. Always responsive and available, but never intrusive. The location was great with short walk to Rossio for local and regional transport. The area supported a safe and vibrant night life – with some excellent local restaurants - Oficina do Duque – being a favorite and strong recommendation if you are visiting this area / staying here. All expectations were exceeded and would recommend this place / host to family and friends without a second thought.

Ricardo and his wife welcomed us when we first arrived and gave us some wonderful tips including the over the top restaurant « Pateo »
The location is amazing and right in the centre of old Lisbon. The unit was extremely clean and wonderfully decorated with every amenities needed to cook.
The only drawback is that it was really noisy during the Friday and Saturday nights. It was warm and we had to let the windows opened…

Perfect Location & Hospitality
This apartment was ideal for our stay. The host was very communicative and walked us through everything we would need to know about the apartment and surrounding area. He was super friendly and went above and beyond with recommendations. Everything we needed was at the apartment, down to laundry soap, ample coffee, and cooking oil. The location was perfect for getting around on foot to see everything from the Castelo to the Santa Catarina Miradouro. Beyond that, transit is a good idea—rides around the city are plentiful and affordable. And if you love art and design, this apartment is decorated so beautifully—loved the wallpapers, accents, and architecture. This is a fantastic apartment all around! Highly recommended!
