Great place

Staff excellent could not do enough for you, so friendly and helpful. Bedroom was exceptionally clean as was reat of the place. Highly recommend

Egal ob geschäftlich oder privat, ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten

Tolles Full English Breakfast vom Buffet, ständig frisch nachgelegt. Große Zimmer, direkt am Kanal. Sehr bequemes riesiges Bett. Blitzsauberes Badezimmer - es passt alles.

superb and fully recommend

Very clean, good sized and comfy rooms. pub next door with wide range of food and real ales. staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will be back. A really good find.

breakfast was good but good warm, not piping hot. We would have preferred more engagement from the staff checking in on customers, not simply taking your room number. This did not detract from the overall experience, just a suggested improvement

Better than expected!

Spacious rooms, very clean and everything we needed.

Really warm in the night and unable to control the heating but that is a very minor point, everything was great!

Would definitely stay again

The room was spotlessly clean. The fixtures & fitting all looked new. The bed was huge & extremely comfy

The room was very hot couldn't turn the heater lower than 21. On top of that the quilts were very thick so I found it unbearable. The heater also made a noise in the end we just turned it off altogether.

Pleasant staff and nice rooms

Clean and well presented, corridors were cold but rooms were fine.

There was nothing we didn’t like it was a good location to visit family, I’m sure we will return.

Great place to stay!

The room was spacious and was the bathroom. The only disappointment was that it was a bath with shower over it, not the walk in, but not a big issue, wasn't aware of that at booking. Had a meal, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed it, carvery for me, awesome, cheese pie for my girlfriend, we both loved it. The breakfast is fantastic, worth going for alone. Clean room, lovely bedding and towels. My second visit, and there will be more!

I loved the hospitality and the beds were great for the weekend we stayed and. The value we had for breakfast.

It was great location to go to the city via metrolink and bus route as using my car.

The wait from the traffic from cosco shoppers going in for discounted fuel.

Let down and embarrassed

Used to love coming here as close to motorway for when I'm working in Sheffield and Leeds rooms are great bathroom is modern and beds very comfortable stayed here maybe 12 times with work colleagues booked it again as wanted to bring the girlfriend never again how embarrassing a total let down

Booked a night with the missus room great bar was what let it down was stood at the bar for 30 minutes trying to order but the girl who had just come on shift was way too busy flirting to take my order even after twice acknowledging me tells me I'll be with you in a minute so I waited a further 10 to go to the other side of the bar a watch for a further 5 minutes her flirting with 2 male staff at that point I decided to take the missus to Fridays very disappointed as the food at boat and horses is excellent I've never been so embarrassed and won't be coming back

Lovely stay but price too much due to high demand.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the pub/restaurant was excellent too. Staff were pleasant. The room had ample numbers of plugs & USB points. Food served in the restaurant was good quality with something for everyone on the menu. Couldn’t fault the property.

There’s nothing I didn’t like except the price. I know there was a Man United match on and I understand prices go up when demand is high; I booked last minute due to family emergency and £260 for 2 nights I found extremely inflated.

Perfection

We had an absolutely amazing time. This was our first night away together as a couple, we were going to the Christmas markets and comicon, as I grew up around the corner I knew to stay in chadderton for ease of access from Yorkshire. The room was lovely and toasty upon arrival, its cleanliness was outstanding and the comfort of the beds made for an amazing nights sleep. Breakfast was also lovely. It was, a perfect stay.

Breakfast was good could have done being hotter and there was a choice of cooked or continental and it just a short walk from the hotel the bar for breakfast

Brilliant as usual!

Very stylish, clean, and comfortable accommodation. Friendly, professional, and helpful staff. Great location. Fantastic breakfast, with plenty of choice.

There is nothing we dislike about the property, but it would be great if the pub bar could stay open until midnight during the week, if possible.

Good rooms & nice breakfast.. shame about location.

Location was off a motorway.. not made at all clear before booking. Good breakfast & room.

It was a bit misleading the information given you are not staying in the pub .. its a slightly ugly building beside the pub. The whole plot is beside a motorway, not in a nice setting beside a canal which pictures suggest.
