This property is located nicely--easy walk to Rockport's public beach (but no "private footbridge" that I ever saw) and Bearskin Neck. It's a fine old house. Space-wise, it fit our family (6) well. There are toys, a nice TV, 2 baths, and lots of towels. However, unlike any other VRBO property where I've stayed, you should be aware of a few shortcomings: The kitchen had cooking/eating tools, but lacked the small food-related essentials provided by every host I've had--i.e, NOTHING edible. No salt or pepper shaker, no ketchup, coffee, teabags, sugar, oil... You must buy/bring everything. To be fair, there were three dishwashing pods, and a wee bottle of dish detergent The kids' little bedroom had bare windows. Their air conditioner's seals had a gaping hole with tattered package tape. I texted the company; they thanked me and said they'd report these things were needed. Nobody called, texted, or came; we hung towels over the windows to keep the early sun from waking the kids. I later sent them a recording my son made of what I recognized from experience as the sound of a mouse chewing in his bedroom wall (all night long, he said). They thanked me. Period. This odd lack of responsiveness could be because the property is managed at a distance by Atlantic Vacation Homes; I never saw a human. Overall, there was an of inattention--a broken drawer here, a sprung shade there, a non-functioning stove burner. They charge a breakage fee up front. It's unrefundable.

Due to Vermont being declared a State of Emergency our family vacation had to pivot in less than 4 or 5 days in advance. Thankfully this wonderful old home was available for our family. It is an easy and enjoyable walk to Front Beach & Back Beach as well as all of the shops and food. Close to baseball field & commuter rail. The house had everything we would need for our 3 days & nights. Full kitchen, plenty of beds and space for all. My only issue was a lack of communication from the host or Atlantic Properties about a few specifics like parking but we figured it out and were not ticketed.

The property has a nice kitchen and downstairs living room and family room. Also, there is a full bath and washer and dryer downstairs. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a bath. The main issues with the property are the stairs are steep getting to the upstairs, there is only 1 parking space and it is difficult to get in and out of and the house is located on a rather busy street. So, for the price it was an okay experience.

This property is close to town and less than 1/2 mile walk from the ocean. The kitchen is bright and open. The patio is large and pleasant. The house is close to the train to Boston although service was limited during our stay. Property is comfortable and within walking distance of attractions.

We had a hard time finding places that would accommodate 5 adults and a child and a dog. This place was just right. We especially appreciated the high quality linens, fenced yard, location, and space to spread out. Stairs were a bit tricky but doable. I would recommend they add hooks to hang things like coats and keys shoes etc. With 6 of us it was hard to keep everyone’s belongings tidy, but this is a minor nuisance and by no means a dealbreaker. It was also a bit awkward that the entrance to the bunk Room is through the bedroom. Considering how many constraints we had to satisfy we would definitely return as it was good value for money.
