Very clean. Well stocked with kitchen supplies, bathroom accessories, and comfortable bedding. Property owner was extraordinarily responsible. Great neighborhood, a few doors down from small park that has swings, slides, and jungle gym. Highly recommend.

Quaint apartment in safe neighbourhood within close walking to restaurants, groceries and coffee shops. Walking distance to train. Fully stocked with kitchen utensils etc for making your own meals. Rooms were smaller than expected although lots of linen. Very steep stairs to carry bags up and down so would need to be very mobile. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here!

What a great space in a great location. The first thing that strikes you in the chracteristic of the porperty and how well thought out the decorations and amenities are. The neighborhood is very quiet, safe and very close to great restaurants. The feeling of relaxation and hominess struck us immediately, and while visiting the city, family and friends, we knew we had a place to go back to that wasn't a load hotel but a place that we could feel right at home in with very convenient off-property parking. I would highly recommend!

Perfect stay! Nice and clean in every room, enjoyed coffee, tea, and all the snacks! Location is great, lots of dining options within walking distance, and kitchen is well prepared for cooking. Definitely will stay for next Chicago trip!

We had a family gathering weekend of all women, from 27 to 81. There were 8 of us who gathered, not all stayed overnight as they lived either in town or Indiana. We all LOVED this apartment, it was a great place to meet and go out in the city or to gather and catch up. We were able to walk to dinner one night on Taylor Street and could have walked another night, but drove because of the rain. (There are so many good ones to choose from). The beds are so cozy and comfortable, the decorations are beautiful and the snacks and candy were so appreciated! The robes are a lovely touch as well. We hung out in the living room one night, had snacks, did puzzles, chatted and caught up with one another. The home is beautiful, we were on the 4th floor and had a pretty view. The area is quiet, but just a few blocks from a beautiful park and a few blocks from lots of great restaurants. I highly recommend John’s apartment.

If you’re looking for a place to stay that has all the comforts of home, is large enough for a family or group of friends, and is centrally located to everything in Chicago, then you need to book John’s place! It was the perfect home base for our family on our work vacation. Check in was easy and seamless, the property was exactly as listed, everything was spotless and ready for us when we arrived, and although we never ran into any issues, let alone any that required assistance from John, I have no doubt that he would have responded and provided assistance right away. No matter if you’re coming to Chicago for a family vacation, friends trip, or a convention/trade show, John’s place is the perfect home base that has everything you could possibly need!

John's place was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed, plus a few thoughtful extras. We enjoyed the proximity to the pink line train and also the abundent food options on Taylor Street. An excellent options for families with kids who want to be close enough to down town but in a quiet and convenient neighborhood. The Halloween decorations were a very fun surprise!

We stayed here for our son’s wedding and enjoyed Chicago so much. The flat is charming and yet, totally functional and updated. A simple walk up to Taylor Street for breakfast or an Italian deli visit. Communication with John was excellent and easy, incredibly so. Ample towels, paper products and even jars of snacks. Highly recommend if a trip to Chicago is in your future!

We stayed here for a girls weekend and it was the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Comfortable beds, lots of linens, well stocked kitchen and very clean. Plus it was great to be able to walk to the close restaurants and a short Uber ride to the city center.

What a cool spot! The location was walking distance to Taylor Street, full of amenities, it was quiet, plus the showers had better water pressure than any nearby hotel. I hope we get the chance to stay here again

We had a wonderful stay! John’s place is conveniently located a few blocks from the L, so close, but nice and quiet. He’s an amazing host who has anticipated that you may have forgotten a razor (me!), and might need an afternoon snack between adventures. Everything was high quality, and the decor soothing and beautiful. We would definitely return and will recommend to friends and family.

The space was perfect for our group of 5 and the host was very responsive and friendly. The area was safe and close to the el if you didn't want to drive, but also had a parking space if you have your own car.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Villa! It was a lovely, quiet location close to the Pink Line. Our kids loved the little park right down the street. We had everything we needed for a nice, long weekend in Chicago!

John was absolutely wonderful! He was very accommodating! The beds were heavenly after a day of sightseeing! The kitchen was very clean, stylish and very well equipped. This is a classic, 3rd story brownstone so there are stairs to navigate.

The area felt safe right away. Neighbors we kind and friendly. Walking distance to grocery and amazing restaurants. The 3 flights of stairs was a great mini workout. Beds super comfy. Amenities were just nice. Over all would stay here again hands down. If I were to say one improvement would be spray paint parking lines.

We wanted to place away from downtown and all the tourist attractions to give us more of the local Chicago vibes. Beautiful apartment with plenty of room for family of 5 ages 16-52. The bathrooms were stocked with a few essentials in case you forget. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the location to the L-Train and great food in Little Italy. Can’t go wrong with this location plus John and his wife were great communicators and so helpful during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Our family fell in love with this place as soon as we turned the corner and seen the building! It’s the type of neighborhood and feel I was looking for when looking for a place to stay in Chicago! We felt so safe in the neighborhood. We even hung out at this cute little park just 2 buildings down from our place after the sun went down! My daughter called it the Bunny Park and it was just magical! Bunny’s all over the place! It’s also very close to downtown and literally walking distance from Little Italy! It only took us about 20 mins to drive to the midway airport after leaving too (without traffic)! I highly recommend this place and will definitely rent here again if we ever come back to Chicago!

John is the best host I have ever had. This apartment is so comfortable and so well appointed that I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the Chicago area. Beyond being clean, John provides the most comfortable bedding, coffee, candy and plentiful supplies of everything you can think of. The location is lovely and near to transportation that will take you anywhere you want to go. My friends and I will have great memories of our stay in Chicago. Many thanks to John and his hospitality.

Great communication about check in and check out. They offer early check in and late check out if available. They thought of everything amenity wise in the home. If you forgot something, odds are they have it for your use. An abundance of towels, blankets and snacks. The unit is located on the 3rd floor and not very close to Wrigley field. Great location otherwise and would absolutely stay here again. Great host!!!
