The Space: Helen's Hideaway is the PERFECT home for those looking to enjoy all Key West has to offer. Relax poolside and soak up some sun during the day, and head out to Duval St at night to enjoy delicious dining and vibrant nightlife. The home offers both a main house and a pool-house suite, separated by a sparkling heated pool and sundeck. In the main house you will find a relaxing living room with a flat screen smart TV, comfy Queen sized pull out sofa and views of the pool through large glass sliders. The updated kitchen features Carrera White Quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, a Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee supplies and all the cookware you need to make yourself feel right at home. Just off the living room sits 2 bedrooms - each with comfy King sized beds and beautiful en suite bathrooms. Both bathrooms in the main house feature modern walk-in showers and gorgeous vanities, allowing for plenty of comfort during your morning (or afternoon) routine. Around the pool deck and past the outdoor laundry room sits the standalone pool-house suite. This coveted suite is just a few steps from the pool and offers a King sized bed, ensuite bathroom, and your own private AC. The pool area features an outdoor shower, propane gas grill with grilling utensils, an outdoor dining table, and plenty of sun loungers. Guest Access: Guests will be provided the lockbox code for the entry gate key as well as a 6-digit access code prior to check-in. The Neighborhood: Right in the heart of "Old Town" Key West, Helen's Hideaway is just 1 block from Duval Street putting you in the middle of nearly all Key West's top attractions such as The Southernmost Point, Ernest Hemingway Home, The Butterfly Conservatory and the Key West Lighthouse. The home is also within walking distance to local favorites like Banana Cafe, Blue Heaven, Jack Flats Sports Bar, Santiago's Bodega, Cuban Coffee Queen, Lola's Bistro, Virgilio's, Mr. Z's and many more! Getting Around: The home is in a very walkable part of town, however, our guests love to rent bikes, scooters or golf carts to get around as well! This property needs major renovations and a deep cleaning! The deck around the pool is a hazard and someone is going to get hurt. There were so many things broken, or not working, the list would be too long to mention here. The management company was very accommodating, but the issues are out of their hands until the owners step up to the plate and fix their property. It is very sad that it has been ignored so long. We used to love staying here because it's a great location, but will find someplace else to stay the next time we are in Key West!

We enjoyed our stay, however there were quite a number of things that required improvement. We were surprised because we paid a lot to stay for a week, and it really wasn’t up to par. That said, the location and heated pool were great for our family. I have listed some of the shortfalls below.
Our biggest issue was that the sliding doors to the pool DO NOT LOCK. The property management company confirmed prior to our booking that the doors from the main house lock, but they most definitely do not. This was a major safety dilemma as we have young kids who cannot swim.
The dryer was broken and the property management company did not respond when contacted to let them know. This was a deal breaker as we packed lightly assuming we’d have the ability to do laundry. The bath and pool towels will not air dry due to the humidity.
The bedrooms were cold, especially the guest house, and not a single blanket to be found. We’d recommend putting blankets/comforters on the beds and couches.
There are a number of fans, outlets and lights that do not function. There is no dishwasher, no kitchen towels for drying the dishes you’re hand washing, and the oven is not functional.
In terms of cleanliness, the rugs and runners are stained and dirty, needs replacing. There was dog hair on the couch. Hole in the wood flooring of the hallway. Pool deck could use re-staining.
Proximity to Duval St was great, heated pool was awesome. Will look to stay elsewhere for our next Key West trip.

Property is nice. It is two separate buildings with one bedroom in each. Had a few issues when we first got in, but the were taken care of when we called. The sliding doors do not lock and the wet deck was slippery, but it is roomy and the location is great.

Great location within walking distance of everything. The property was clean but needs some love. There was a fairly large hole in the wood floor in the dining room that could potentially hurt someone. The deck around the pool is in dire need of repair. Lots of warped boards and rough wood that made it difficult to walk with bare feet. The gutter system over the deck and pool needs cleaned and repaired. It leaks into the pool and causes mossy slick spots on the deck. There's a large hole in the deck by the outdoor shower. The kitchen needs to be better stocked. Only a few pans and no dish towels or washcloths. The oven didn't work. The lighting in the front entryway needs to be better. It's very hard to see at night. Overall, we were happy with our stay but this place needs some major upkeep done on it.

Place was centrally located and as advertised. The location made the trip! Residence could use a little maintenance, but nothing that deterred our enjoyment. Only real complaint was the level of chlorine in the pool. Chemicals need to be adjusted. Faded our bathing suites. I would stay there again if we return to Key West.

My partner and I were able to bring our puppy along with my sister for this birthday getaway. Location was deluxe just down the block from 801 and Orleans House.
Very quiet and serene with a private guest suite across the pool. Managers were very responsive to a few of my requests. Will definitely be back.

Best location you could ask for. Just one block from Duval so you are near the action but quiet when you want to chill around the pool. Hannah and Jamie were a huge help during check-in and especially when we forgot a couple items in the house and they had them shipped to us. We will definitely be back!

Loved the island feel of the home. Location is excellent. Management team was very responsive and great to work with, especially Hannah who went out of her way to answer our questions and help meet our expectations.

Our group really enjoyed staying at this property known as Helen's Hideaway. Everything was clean and well described, the pool was wonderful and the kitchen & bathrooms were well stocked. A hidden little gem between Duval & Simonton.
