Remodeled motel that fit the bill after 8 days on the river. Cool vibes boutique-like hotel. Ample sized room with comfortable beds and great pillows. Decor and finishing touches made it feel thoughtful and fun. Yes, you can hear the train but not in an obnoxious way. We left the fan on with the AC and made any rumble not noticable. Near the NAU campus and historic downtown. We will stay again when we can try the sauna and bar with friends.

Such a cool spot. No frills but very comfy and the design is really chic but rustic - homely and welcoming but with a very design-forward aesthetic and the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault the place for the price to be honest!

Second time staying here cause it's fantastic, safe and comfy. It's dog friendly too which is amazing but they charge $125 pet fee even if you only stay one night...

The property was renovated with a retro 80's theme and we love it! It was done really well. The place is cute and clean and we really got taht 80's vibe but still feel the place is updated with modern amenities. The price was very reasonable for a great stay. This was a great find and we will come again.

I loved the room, it was big, the beds were very comfortable. I like the fact that the hotel had a bar and restaurant inside the hotel, made it very easy since the weather was kind of bad rainy and cold.

Great bar/lobby. Rooms need more storage for unpacking during a long stay. Only weirdness…requested a box of tissue in the morning and came back to my room after a day of sightseeing to find my door had been left open/ajar for who knows how long. Less weird but makes the list is that the bar area is in the general lobby area so expect to enjoy your evening cocktail with people’s kids bouncing around and ordering sodas at the bar. Was much better once Easter weekend passed and was generally a great post hike spot.

Pool was not heated and filled with dirty murky water No view, covered by buildings and just that railroad Sauna was for a charge which never got mentioned on the site No other amenities for the family we can do but sit on the chairs by the fire while my kids watch the grass We can hear the train so loudly from the room Ceiling has black mold and cracks Walls are too thin we can hear people banging walls having sex and talking all night we are a family with 3 kids and did not sleep at all We left for dinner at 5:30 came back to sleep at 8pm and decided to just go home at 10pm. It was the longest 2 hours of my life trying to figure out how we can survive til the morning.

What a great place to stay! Nice property with a great vibe. Loved the General Store! Pizza and salad are a must. Will have to stay longer next time to experience more of the menu. I drive thru Flagstaff every year and this will now be my go to!!

HCML is beautiful, cozy, and has a great location! We were really impressed by what they have done to this space. It is clean and has beautiful and fun touches. We loved staying in this space and are even considering having our wedding here. Highly recommend staying here for folks who want a launch pad to all that Northern Arizona has to offer and are looking for charm.

This is the second time we have stayed here . Great location for us (close to NAU) and the hotel has the best vibe. Rooms are comfortable and the lounge is great. We’ll be staying there again!

This was our second time at High Country Motor Lodge. Definitely the only place I’ll stay in Flagstaff! It’s so convenient, has everything you need. We had a room facing the courtyard and we slept so well - very quiet and comfy at night. I love the hot tub and the fire pits.

Great place, Staff was very nice and helpful, really enjoyed our stay except... room door needed weather strip, cold air all night which kept the heat running all night. Heat unit was very loud! Outdoor gas fire pits ran all night, great ambiance,,, a lot of gas burned unneccessarily :(

Cute boutique motel. Rooms are revamped and vintage style, it's cute, nice finishing touches. It's what I'd expect with a high traffic, mountain destination, college town hotel. The price was decent, can't complain. Plus their lobby, bar restaurant and lounge area is decorated nice and pretty much has everything you need if you didn't want leave the premises. Coffee, cocktails, food. Plus it's within walking distance to many places. There were a couple minor tweaks that could be made- floor swept especially by bed and under bed, they provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the shower wall but our body wash was completely empty, neighbors played music until 2 am and we could hear it all night through our wall, and also smelled like they were smoking. But overall the motel itself was worth the value we paid. We also stayed Tuesday- Wednesday not weekend prices.

The room was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly. I found the property to be quiet and slept well. Was a good staging ground for my visits to nearby National Parks and National Monuments.

This place will charm your socks off. Pluses are the use of a sauna which costs extra (cold plunge is the unheated pool) and the convenience of great food and espressos also with additional charges on site. Travelers should know that trains run all night and are very close by.

Stayed here with my family. We loved this place! We have two boys ages 10 and 12 and they loved the game room with the pool table and foosball, and a lot of board games to play! The bar and market store is right close to the game room, so we could get our drinks or food and play with them. The pool was not heated but we used the Jacuzzi and loved it! Room is good enough size and had a lot of hangers and storage space. Loved the decor and the boutique aspect of it. Very close to Flagstaff downtown, few min by car, but there are walkable restaurants to go as well. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Flagstaff

The restaurant and bar is great. It's expensive, but cheaper than a dui. Room service had some incessant knocking that ruined 'the mood', but I'd still stay again. I'd just manage time a little better.

Amenities not clear until check in. Sauna is an extra Fee, bar closes early but stays open late? Inconsistent.No bathtubs but promoted as such, showers spill water everywhere.
