The service and staff were professional and hospitable. The room could be cleaner. See attached picture of the wall lamp. It was filthy. We could not have access to the pool and it was in the 90's 2 days. We were a bit disappointed. We did not have daily cleaning service.

Megan at reception delightful and helpful when we checked in. Great start and welcome!!

Hotel was great. Great location, great amenities. Close walk to everything. Would definitely book this hotel again and absolutely recommend.

It was beautiful and comfortable. Close proximity to the downtown area.

Not impressed at all. The room seemed very rundown. We ended up changing rooms after the first night because the drawers were broken, outlets wouldn’t hold a plug, and the drain in the tub wouldn’t drain unless you held it open. We stay at Marriotts most of the time when we travel and definitely would not return to this one. They definitely need to do some work to the rooms (even after changing rooms still had broken drawers in the new room). The staff was very helpful in the change and did comp us for one night so no complaints about the service just the overall condition of the hotel.

Please heat the pool, I specifically booked your hotel due to location close to my daughters dorm which was great but also for the pool
For my other daughter and it was not heated. Freezing, should be heated all year around. Valet staff was amazing!!!

The room was spacious and bed was comfortable.
A/C worked well and was not loud. Shower worked well.
Sink required maintenance, as drain did not work.
The room was fairly clean and there was visible dust/dirt on the floor around the furniture.
The towels were rough and smelled of clorox.

Very nice & friendly staff

really nothing wrong except for the value. Pretty pricey for not even complimentary coffee from the bar in the morning. The staff was excellent and the condition was no more than should be expected at any medium-high end hotel.

Great hotel!

Great location. Close to King Street, Galliard , and a short walk to Market Street.
The hotel was comfortable with excellent service,
Two complaints. Coffee should be comped. Not Starbucks.
Valet parking should be no more than $20. It was $40 which is exorbitant,

Excellent value for a hotel that was less than a mile from everything we wanted to do…shopping, dining, nightlife. Pool was simple but served the purpose of having a place to cool down and relax after shopping. Room was clean and spacious, loved the hardwood floors. Would definitely stay here again for our annual girl’s trip!

We stayed in a balcony room that appeared to be remodeled. Everything was clean and accommodating. I would stay again when in Charleston.

We were delighted with our room. Room was large, great designed, and nice décor Disappointed with location so far from city marketplace and cost of parking @ $70 for 2 nights and they expected a tip. Pool area was very blah.

I felt like the additional fee for parking at the hotel was a bit much.

The property is in need of upgrades. Marriott also needs to talk to their employees that because we book with third party, we are still guests. I am a Marriott Silver Elite and got treated like i was begging. So not ever going or referring people to this property.

Bar and bistro, hotel food so mediocre. Clean room and comfortable. Could use more chargers near bed.

Other than the restaurant needing more help the food was good. The server was overwhelmed and the kitchen was backed up, I felt bed for them. The manager did jump in to help.

So glad we chose Courtyard for our long weekend in Charleston! Super convenient location right next to Marion Square. The staff is OUTSTANDING. We opted to pay extra for valet and are so glad we did. Best car service we've ever had...friendly and efficient and made our excursions quick and easy. This place is A !

I don't know where to begin. But these beautiful hotel needs some a total cleaning job. The floor boards are covered with dust. The ceiling in my room was peeling away. The metal around the lamp and chair were rusted. Upkeep is needed desperately. There was a leak the the bistro. I was informed it was the AC. The hotel lobby is beautiful and inviting, as well as the bistro, however cleaning in corners and all around would enhance the atmosphere. The bathrooms in the lobby area are in desperate need of a plumbing job. The staff is fantastic. Thank goodness for that. The location is wonderful. But how long will that sustain a hotel if it is not properly cared for?

The price was WAY too much for this hotel. Breakfast should have been included for $500/night along with daily servicing of the room instead of every other day. $30 for eggs, hash browns and a biscuit.

Excellent location. Friendly service and staff. Allowed early check in which was so helpful. Very comfortable room. We hope to be back. Thank you for your hospitality!
