This is the deal of the century. The cottages are adorable and the surroundings unsurpassed. We loved the beautiful restaurant with views and fireplaces. We enjoyed the hiking trails and the giant green space as well. We can’t wait to come back.

Always a favorite when visiting Boulder! Such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Dinning hall has great food and a cozy bar, easy access to the trails, spectacular views and only a 5 minute drive to Pearl Street or CU!

I had issues with my key card not working a couple times so I had to go down to the front desk both times and get a new key. The ladies at the front desk were rude about it. Slow service at happy hour too. The hotel is a bit dated.

Super nice location for hiking into the Flatirons. A great restaurant and cafe/gift shop. No TV, but we didn’t care. Very comfortable bed. Weak WiFi was the only negative.

This is a unique place and worth exploring. Lots of hiking nearby. Extra little touches made the stay memorable.

Very historic property right on the base of the Flatirons in Boulder. Close to everything. Go to the dining Hall for breakfast and dinner - good and reasonably priced. Because of its historic nature, THERE ARE NO TVS.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Chautaqua! We ended up with a cabin right off of the trail which made access for hiking super easy (and also provided a nice view for morning coffee). Can't wait to visit again!

This property is historical and quaint. The cottage was darling and backed up to hiking trails into the Flatiron Mountains. Great stay!

Wonderful cabins, impeccably clean, and staff and service ensuring your enjoyment and satisfaction. Restaurant is phenomenal with again, a more than friendly and accommodating staff! Look forward to getting back there soon.
And the charm and rustic quaintness- unmatched!

Such a great place to stay! We loved our cabin. Breakfast in the dining hall was yummy and the Flatiron trails were literally just outside our door.

Beautiful setting. I felt like I was in the movie Parent Trap but with a super comfortable bed!!

Clean, comfortable cabins with all the necessary amenities, but with a historical/throw-back feel. Clean, well maintained property. Nice play area for the kids. Tennis and basketball courts. A little general store with ice cream. The dining hall is very popular. No TV, but that wasn't an issue for us. The wi-fi worked fine. The park and hiking trails are always busy, but the rental cabins are on quiet, leafy streets. Beautiful views and access to the Flatirons right from your doorstep. A short drive to the Rockies to the West. The only negative for me was that the parking was VERY tight. We rented cabin 220, and the only way out was to back out the way we came in. Thankfully our large rental SUV had a modern camera setup, otherwise, it would have been tough. Still, just a great place to stay.

First: I was asked to change cottages over the nights I booked. I adjusted reservation so that it was shortened, but then room was not ready when expected and I was not called to come get key until 5:41 PM, at which point the room had been ready for awhile, but the promised phone call or text to let me know did not happen. There was no apology when it was explained what happened. It was a communication error which can happen, but reading these reviews, it's not the first time that the room wasn't ready when expected and the communication over it simply didn't happen. I love this place, and think everyone should experience it for an extended amount of time.

Had to sleep on a twin blow up bed, due to not having a pull out couch in cottage

The property is beautiful and for a family it works really well as there are hiking trails, a park, and a great play area.
The only issue was our cottage had a water heater that was on demand and not a tank which led to less than ideal temps for showers. For a family with little ones that isn't a great option.

This property is located in a STUNNING location with easy access to hiking, beautiful parks, and amazing food. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful area in Boulder with hiking trails easily accessible. Our 2 bedroom cottage was spacious enough for 4 of us and our dog. The cottage and furniture is in need of a little updating but overall a great stay.

Our cabin faced west and we had an unobstructed view of the flatirons.
Ask for a cabin on the west side of the property.

Check on was horrible. Went in at 3:45pm Told us room.would be ready at 4pm. I thought check in was 3pm. Said they would call us when room ws ready. Sat in parking lot waiting for the call. 4:17pm still no call. Went in to check they said yes room is ready.
Dont be fooled by them daying its a Queen size bed. Its such a small bd my wife slept on the pull out couch. What a waste of time & money. Last time staying at this historical DUMP !!!

Chautauqua worked out perfectly for our family. We plan to staycation more often!

The Chatauqua is a unique historic property offering fairly modern cabins and access to hiking and historic dining. We booked a Queen cabin, which turned out to be a connected duplex unit and both nights we had really loud neighbors we could hear on the separated porch and in the unit. If you stay, request a non-duplex. Not the Chatauqua’s fault, just clueless people. Have a drink at the bar; the hiking is gorgeous.

The house was lovely if a little small (which can't really be helped). Parking was easy and you are a short walk from sone amazing hiking!

Very relaxing, and quiet atmosphere. We had a nice dinner at the dining hall, Hiked from right outside our cabin door. We will book again.
