Cute, friendly. Good location for gayborhood, street facing rooms noisy on a weekend night. operated through U-bar downstairs, odd to arrive during rush hour at the bar.
some things didn't work- heat system was out, they gave us an uncleaned space heater. The water pressure was odd, pulsing in the shower. The safe battery was out and had to be replaced to work for us. Bed was decent but with a shin-buster frame design. They offered bag storage service for the day.

A nice room but no front desk. If you need anything tou must go into the adjacent bar. That bat is so busybthe bartenders are kind but dont have time for hktel guests. I just needed an iron to press a shirt. Never beard back. Tv doesnt work but for google Tv on gournown account. No phone in room.

The hotel is actually run by the bar downstairs so there is no lobby and the phone is only open for non-emergency situations starting at 10am. The room was cute but lots of stuff was broken and I could hear the music from the bar until they closed at 2am. I walked past a number of times earlier in the night and the music wasn’t even that loud, so it’s just bad sound proofing. Shower pressure was also super spotty, it pretty much totally died every few seconds and then would spurt out.

Weird to check-in through the bartender, but really annoying constant thumping of booming base speakers from the bar UNTIL 4am!! Tiny room.

Needed a place to stay close to the Kimmel Center and found the Inn on Camac. Could not have asked for a better experience. Nice staff. Great room. Easy walking distance to where I needed to go. Will certainly stay here again!

The hotel is situated on the second floor above a bar, which means there might be some noise until 3:00 a.m. when the bar closes. Additionally, the air conditioner doesn't provide warm air, and the restroom is out of toilet paper with no assistance available.

Excellent hidden gem in Center City. Quant small b &b style inn rooms that are nicely decorated and updated bathrooms. Only thing missing is a coffee maker in the rooms. The entire staff was amazing especially MJ, Donny and the housekeeping staff. Word of advise, the place is upstairs from a bar and can get a bit noisy on weekends and holidays, but it’s a great location. Just sleep with earplugs if you go to sleep before 1am. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Philadelphia! Excellent hidden gem in Philly! Highly recommend Inn on Camac!

I had a great stay! The room was very clean and comfortable. The entrance is through a bar downstairs, and the staff was very friendly. The area can be noisy until 2am because of the bar downstairs, so I would recommend to anyone who is not a very light sleeper.

The noise was actually not much of a problem. The biggest problem was that the AC did not work and the room was 85 miserable degrees. The TV also didn’t work. I attempted to get help, but seemed as though there is no one available for these emergent issues. The room was so uncomfortably warm that I ended up spending the last night of my booked trip at a different hotel, incurring additional cost.
This all said, the Inn is in a great location, the housekeeping person was really nice, and the noise (so long as you expect it) is not bad. Just don’t go in warm weather.

It was such a comfortable place. First we got a room that wasn't cleaned, but after expressing the circumstances we got another cozy room (very clean).

If you rate your hotels by the towels provided, this one wins hands down. I was sorely tempted to pack them in my luggage. The wrinkle in my stay was the platform the bed is sitting on sticks out all around the bed and I was constantly banging my shins on it. It was an uncomfortable experience to have to put so much effort into approaching the bed carefully.

Pillow case is dirty—stained right where I’d lay my head on the top pillow, bit even hidden. Also, I hate carpeting

Very clean, convenient, affordable, has a quirky charm. It's in a great nightlife area, hotel is a handful of rooms on two floors above a gay bar. If you've lived in a big city and expect street noise you'll be fine but previous reviews are accurate, the patrons below can be a bit rowdy at 2am. Music from downstairs was faint, easy enough to drown out with a white noise app on my phone. Check in is a very informal process at the bar. I'd stay again, thought it was great value and location. Impeccably clean.

Had a nice and comfortable one night stay while coming into town for dead and co. Would stay here again/ recommend to others.

The Inn described online is not an accurate representation of the environment. The inn very much shares a space with a bar that serves until 2. It’s constant noise. In addition we were not treated well at the bar when trying to get a drink, other bar quests violated my husbands space and made numerous inappropriate comments. Over all, far from great.

Based above a busy bar. Music plays loudly until 2am.
Don't feel it's location was highlighted, we wouldn't have booked if we had known!
Lovely staff at check in and room lovely, but for our busy site-seeing stay we got no sleep.

This is a quaint B&B, it is above a fun gay bar. The bartenders are amazing, the room was clean and comfortable, amazing 2 headed shower … While we were there they had issues with the electronic keys but MJ was extremely helpful and accommodating to get us set up. Will def stay again !

A safe and secure place. I will definitely stay in this place when I travel again to Philadelphia! Camac Inn, thank you for making my stay so comfortable! I love my visit a lot! ❤️💕❤️

This is a lovely property but there were a few issues. As others stated, because most dealings are with the bar downstairs, timing is limiting. We had no issues with checkin, except one of our card keys didn’t work. An app was offered, but was challenging. The room was large, comfortable, and well appointed. However, the noise level in this area of town on a Thur-Sat was very loud, particularly between 12am-2am, which is our prime sleep time. The room next door was very loud. This is a GREAT property for younger folks enjoying the vibe and energy of locust st. I think for our age, a hotel in a quieter area might be a better fit. But the Inn itself was lovely!

This place was very cute. We felt safe in the neighborhood and it was walking distance to a lot of things. Make sure you arrive during the hours listed as it’s a bar you’re checking in to.
We enjoyed the stay and when we were upset about not being able to take a shower bc of a water heater issue, the hotel reimbursed our stay. We will definitely be back given the honest treatment and the great accommodations.

Good room. Great bed. Goood value. Great location for our trip. Zero staff presence. Checkin procedure was successful, but haphazard and so byzantine. Pleasant single staff we encountered by chance. Received special code to enter building and room after checkout!!! Knowing the idiosyncratic check in and limited, amenities, we'd stay there again for value & location to cultural center & restaurants.

Check-in was a hot mess: the "app" that was supposed to automatically upload my key did not. No signage or way to know where to go. Finally someone directed me to the bartender at the bar below who was nice and got me to my room.
Room was basically a bed, chair, and bathroom. Nice but basic. Immediately found a dirty cleaning rag in the sink. Eww.
Heater would not shut off (registered 79* in the room and climbing) ... was so warm I had to go back to the bar and find a manager who basically told me to "Oh yeah it's broken. Turn it off and it will eventually reset itself. Open the windows and grab a drink somewhere til it cools down!" Ummmm ok.
Wanted to find someone the morning of checkout to see about a late checkout or to get a receipt but zero humans around to talk to. Just left and hoped for the best.
Overall the location is great for nightlife and it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable, but it was basically like sleeping in a friend's guest room with zero extras (not even a free welcome drink from downstairs?). You can find other places close by with more amenities for the same price.

Room itself was very nice but the noise and music beats from the bar downstairs was very loud and went on until past 2am. Additionally there was hammering noise from rooftop construction above.

I was only there for a night because I was getting married and it was perfect place to get ready near the city. A cute lil space which was clean

Wonderful place. I have really found that post-pandemic, these little independent hotels tend to be better maintained, more frequently cleaned and staffed with friendlier people than the national chains. This place continued the trend. Nice, comfortable and quiet room in a great part of town. The bar downstairs looked great too, though we only had one drink there. The bartender who checked us in was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend the Inn on Camac.

Inn on Camac was such a cute escape in downtown Philly. The unique check in (you check in with the bartender) only added to the charm. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

A nice play to stay but be open minded to it's location. The check-in is done with the bartender in the Ubar on ground level. We stayed during the pandemic so the bar shut-down around 9pm and all the locals (and street noise) seemed to disappear shortly afterwords. On the plus side, the rooms are well appointed, nicely designed and clean. The room we had was close to the stairs and so we heard a people going up and down the stairwell. No big deal but for those with sensitive hearing you might be annoyed. All an all it's a great and very convenient place to stay.
