The first two nights we were there the AC unit wasn't working. The second night we had had enough and finally called the front desk. They moved us to a new room that was a little cooler but the AC unit didn't quite work yet.
When we requested more towels one of the staff greeted my husband at the door and pretty much just said "towels" and tossed the towels into his hands. Not very friendly at all.
It was worth the price. Very sketchy

Staff was courteous and helpful at Thursday afternoon check-in. Parking (free) was across the street and around the corner. Clean and comfortable, room had a small fridge, but no microwave.
Bath/Shower had a confusing water spigot - no clear indication on hot or cold and because it took awhile for the water to be hot there was a bit of experimentation to find the perfect setting for a hot shower. Then water was completely turned off Friday around midday to address "plumbing issues" but we were not notified in advance, so our showers had to wait for later that afternoon.

Great place to stay in Reno. Easy walking distance to all downtown casinos.

It was a great visit we were close to the ball park and downtown. We spent most our time at the convention center. It was a short drive.

Positives, excellent location and extraordinary nice staff. They tried to accommodate us, by you can't fix all of those issues at once. They did offer to move us out of our room into another, but we were there for only 2 days and didn't find some things out until late at night. I tried to add photos of the carpet issue and the worn lamp, but it's not letting me attach pictures.
Everything in the room was worn out,old outdated furniture, uncomfortable beds. The carpet between the bathroom and the main room had staples sticking up. The electrical outlet in the bathroom kept shorting and we had to reset the breaker to turn on the lights it use the outlet. The room smelled of smoke even though it was supposed to be a smoke free room. The refrigerator didn't work, which they did replace. The pictures online were gorgeous and updated, not what our room looked like. They did cover the staples on the floor with tape so it didn't hurt our feet any longer.

Just around the corner from the start and end of a race I ran so very convenient location, though not in the nicest part of town. The room smelled of smoke (not unusual in Nevada, but bad for my allergies). The pho restaurant across the street is s incredible.

Had a decent stay for my daughter's volleyball tournament. Check-in took forever. Main doors locked at night. Good nights stay for the price. Thankfully it was quite. AC we as not turned on until people complained about it.

Room was clean and tidy, the staff was nice, and the view was spectacular.

The AC was underperforming or not working at all. We sweltered in our room. Staff seemed unconcerned

Great location, clean, staff is great and helpful. Has the basics for our weekend needs.

This was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. There were only 2 rooms occupied on our floor and it really made it quiet. The beds were comfortable, the room clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The amenities are very minimal.

Very clean nice room. For the price very worth it.

Alright but not the best considering we have small kids the parking garage is on the other side and a one way street so it took a roundabout way to get there

Great stay and my request were meet

There is no place to park when you check in, that was a mess, then they tell you to park in a casino parking garage 2 blocks away. Getting to that parking garage is a nightmare because it is all 1 way streets.
This is next to the bus station and there is a real bad homless problem, don't leave this place or go to your car alone.
There were buttons for certain floors on the elevator that had fallen out, good luck if you got a room on thise floors.
The beds and pillows were from the 60s when this place was a casino.
The shower was smaller than the shower in an RV. The bathroom looked like it was remodeled by a child not allowed access to tools or materials.

Room was clean, hotel in need of some repairs, carpet etc but they are in process towards that goal. Great location.

The sheets smelled of sweat, the bed was very hard and it was not very clean.

Rude staff. No parking at hotel. No coffee in room.

The 5 star rating is based on value and meeting expectations. The Reno Suites is not a 5 star hotel. But it's clean, has a comfortable bed, is in walking distance to everything in downtown Reno, and less expensive than other options. Everyone working there was friendly too. The rooms are somewhat out of date, but that was not an issue for me. Also have to enter the hotel through small door as opposed to main glass doors.

We enjoy staying here. It's easy to find from the freeway. Clean rooms, very friendly staff. Our TV didn't work this time. They moved us to a different room. Only thing they could have done better would to have brought us one of the luggage carriers along with the key to the new room.

For the price, it was worth it. Don't expect much beside a fairly clean room to sleep in.

The staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size but no microwave and you have to go down to the lobby to use the only microwave they have. The elevator buttons need to be serviced and you have to press it firmly to activate it in the lobby. Great location and security is lways present and helpful. .

Walls very this could hear everything person staying next to me was saying all night. Didn’t sleep much at all during the weekend. Their whole hotel look as if it was in remodel stage an no fitness center as advertised.

The was friendly and extremely professional.
As a past local of many years ago the property was dated. The property is still outdated it needs renovations.
The parking was inconvenient.
The first night I had no heat in my room. The second night I was relocated to another room. There are zero amenities. The front lobby was an icebox so cold and no heat whatsoever. I feel sorry for the staff who had to work into those conditions.

GREAT STAY. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF. ONLY COMPLAINTS: NO COFFEE IN ROOMS; MISSING ICE MACHINES.

The hotel was in downtown it easy to access all the amenities

Parking was unsafe. Elevator was not safe or always working. Front doors were broken. Old crusty coffe maker in room, but no hot or cold cups, no coffee or water or anything. No soap or shampoo. Place was scary and dirty!

The staff is amazing. They go out if their way to make sure you're enjoying your stay. The rooms are big and comfortable. The only downside is for longer stays there is no microwave in the room. Uou have to go downstairs to use the one in the lobby

We booked the room based on the reviews that we had read, Yes, the room was very clean, great view on the 20th floor. Yes, parking is not ‘convenient’, it is across the street in a parking garage. The staff is genuinely nice and welcoming.

We like the hotel, rooms were clean area hotel is in is being renovated, Reno is an old city and they are working on bringing itvup to date
6.0
Noisy because they put us in the room right next to the elevators. Pretty sure they weren’t booked solid probably could’ve put us a little further away from what sounded like a subway train going past our room all through the night.

The property itself was great but being right downtown, there are a lot of vagrants. The protest was always locked with a security gaurd so that was nice :-)

The place is good, but the parking place is across the street where the hobos are. I feel unsafe for my car but good thing nothing happen to my car. Bed is a little uncomfortable if your like me who likes soft bed.

The water actually drained this time and we actually had heat for the night so things are looking up as far as for the maintenance but staff is rude and inconsiderate.

I didn’t feel safe where this hotel was located.
