A short stay. A two minute walk to train station. Would stay again! Very nice!

Russ was timely with his responses at first but then I told him I wasn't going to be able to sleep very well with a lingering stale smoke smell. He told me it was a non-smoking building and that I was smelling cleaning solutions. I know the difference between cleaning solutions and stale smoke - it was as if there had been years of cigarette smoking that was seeped into the walls. I had to pay for two rooms to stay at the Hampton Inn. At this point Russ stopped answering me. I asked for a refund or at least a refund on the cleaning fee since we didn't stay and he canceled the cleaner. If he had been nice enough to respond to me or at least offer to refund me the $60 cleaning fee or $50 pet fee I would have been satisfied and not left this review. But he ghosted me. So I might as well add that the place is FAR from huge as his listing states. In fact, I would describe it as small.

It was the perfect spot to enjoy all Philly has to offer and still be able to get away from the hustle. Best was the off street parking.

Close to all the places we were going to that weekend.

Exactly as described!!! And a great value. The home was extremely clean and beds were very comfortable even for my grandmother. I read previous reviews, which gave me pause, but I contacted the host, Russ (very responsive) to make my own inquiry. I learned he is personally involved and a local resident who takes pride in his rental units. I was assured a pleasant stay and I was NOT disappointed. Again, the listing was very clean and comfortable and the AC was great. It’s a perfect place to stop if you’re visiting the Philadelphia area!

What first struck me about the property was the cardboard taped to a neighboring window. Then there was the fact that the doors for all of the townhomes on the property were scratched, half painted, with what little paint remaining faded. Then there were the wires sticking out of the empty townhome's door next to our rental. Upon further inspection, we found a gas grill that was falling apart, trim and siding falling off at the peak of the building along the roof, falling wires along the back of the property, and patch jobs along the windowsills, instead of actual mortar repair and repainting. When we informed the landlord that he had engaged in deceptive practices and that we would not be spending our stay in Philadelphia in housing he has failed to maintain, he called us racists. Believe the bad reviews. What is more, do not believe in Vrbo's claims either. Their advice to being deceived was to write a bad review and suck up our loss.

The property is in desperate need of a refit and redecoration. There's wallpaper peeling off everywhere, the place must have been lived by a heavy smoker as the smell of cigarette and nicotine is quite strong. There are roaches roaming out just outside the front door. Inside there's carpets stuck to floors with gaffer tape, window blinds that are broken, cupboard doors that are close to coming off their hinges, dirty/stained bed covers, rusting bathroom fittings, badly washed plates and cutlery, dirty fridge shelves, etc. The list goes on. We have shared all the photos we took with the owner and hope he does the right thing and takes this property off the market to fix it and give it a deep clean. It's not ethical to be charging people to stay in such a tired and rundown place.

The apartment was clean and had the vital necessities, but the sidewalk, steps, and driveway was full of berries. Our shoes were caked in berries and have permanent berry stains. The door was hard to unlock and the AC didn’t work ( but at least it was cool outside).
The property manager does not respond to emails, messages through VBRO or phone calls. I’m glad we finally figured out the lock to get in. I tried several times to get ahold of Russ, but no response. I did not want to leave this review because the apartment itself was fine, but if you can not communicate with someone you can not tell him any issues. But I did leave 4 stars which is still a good review.

When we be finally found the property we did not feel safe in the neighborhood so we left and did not stay there. They were so concerned about us tracking in dirt but the sidewalk was covered in mulberries that were impossible to avoid. If they don’t want people to track in dirt they need to keep the sidewalk clean.

It was beat up and nasty. The wallpaper was pealing off, the kitchen was rusted and the cabinet door was falling off. We were unable to turn on the AC, but the owner never replied to our calls or emails. The WI-FI cut out all the time. And twice the police were out in front of the complex. Never ever stay here!!!

When we finally found the place and found where we were allowed to park (a neighbor came out and told us), we went to the apartment and there was dog poop all over the steps to get to the apartment. Once inside it was clean but the carpet on the walls weren’t what I was expecting. The apartment was definitely quaint and the pictures were deceiving. But, overall for one night it wasn’t awful. I had spoken to the owner before the trip and he was very nice. The only thing that scared me was a door that looks like it goes outside of the unit but the lock is inside which means someone can come in when you are there. It said employees only but the lock was facing the outside which to me means anyone on the outside can come in. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what the 3 of us thought. The positives- the couches were very comfortable, the table was great for game night, and the beds were okay. I love the living room and how the couches were.

4 moms and 2 15 yr old girls rented this for the TS concert. Upon checking in we were surprised to see how inaccurate the pics provided were and just how “icky” the place actually felt. As we looked around, we found living roaches and several pubic hairs in the bathroom among other things ( that we have documented in pics) The bathroom walls are disintegrating and the AC cannot be turned down and the upper half the walls of the entire place is carpeted! As a confirmed party of 6 only 4 towels/wash cloths were provided. We then had to go purchase those items plus cleaning supplies/roach spray to makes the place feel comfortable. The apartment is a good value and finding something else to rent wasn’t an option (because literally everything else was booked) so we made the best of it! We had a great weekend! I’ve used VRBO for years and NEVER had an issue. Not long after checking out i received a message that the unit smelled of marijuana and a claim was being made against us. I was shocked and obliviously offended as none of us smoke anything. After reading other reviews from this and other properties owned by Russ, this seems to be a common occurrence. I honestly don’t know why he makes false accusations but just BEWARE. We messaged back and forth and then he accused me of harassment. Don’t give this business your money, they are deceitful and will accuse you of craziness and ruin your drive home.

Beware staying here: Huge 2B/1B, KING Bed Master, COLD A/C, Driveway Parking, by Swarthmore College!
1.) As soon as we arrive after a 4 hour drive, dead flies are in one bedroom desk (2), a huge dead gnat in one bed, plenty of hair on the master bed.
2.) We unload our luggage, we look around this room, two dead plants, the clock in the kitchen, doesn't even have a battery in it, only time is on the microwave, which I had to put in twice.
3.) Try to watch TV, and connect to wi-fi, no wi-fi, owner tells us wrong network and password, correct information and able to have TV on day two.
4.) He sends over the cleaning person, who does not speak, nor understands English, while we were there, and we had asked for them to change our sheets when we were out of this place. So, I help her, I strip the bed, I try to help her make the bed, but she brought out the wrong size sheets three times, so we could not make the bed. While we are waiting for her to get the sheets, we turn on the TV, and play a cartoon show for her young daughter, and I receive a phone call from the owner Russell Cacciavillano, accusing us of being rude to her. This accusation came from the translation company he uses. Cleaning woman says "NO", regarding us being mean and rude to her, right to my Wife, while I am on the phone with him! Receive 5 emails from RC, while at the wedding his accusations continue, unprofessional, and didn't even apologize to his paying customers. I have pictures, of this place, BEWARE!

I was here for a work trip, stayed about 10 days. I thought it was perfect for my needs as a longish term place in a great location for my needs.

Cozy, comfortable, clean and in a quiet neighborhood. We had everything we needed for our overnight stay and it was a short drive in to the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place and location, had a few hiccups with the keyless entry but all went well.

Russ was very nice, as were the neighbors. The apartment was clean enough and had everything we needed to stay for a few days while our house was being worked on. Russ sent 8 messages after checkout 1) asking if we had a pet (we don't) because there was pet hair, 2)sharing pictures taken of our garbage, 3) accusing us of smoking in the apartment, and 4) promising to check the surveillance cameras, which we weren't aware there were. Kind of left a bad taste, as did his attempt to charge us an additional $75 for smoking in the place when we didn't.

We enjoyed our stay while visiting extended family in the area just before Christmas. This roomy-yet-cozy apartment was clean, well-appointed, and convenient to Philadelphia, the airport, and the townships we visited. Personally, I grade a place to stay on certain criteria—having cleared, flat surfaces to place the stuff you're traveling with; hangers and drawers for organizing clothing; and a mirror in each bedroom, so that if someone is showering, someone else can fix their hair, apply makeup, etc. in another room. This apartment checked all the boxes and had a bonus mirror in the living room! We certainly recommend staying there.

Very pleased with our accommodations. The king bed was comfortable. Clean with all the basic needs in the kitchen. Shopping, gas and food nearby. Property owner was very responsive to all questions I had when we booked. We arrived much later than we planned due to the frigid temps this holiday. They made sure we arrived to a warm house with lights on. So appreciated after the long day we had traveling. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

We came to bring my daughter to tour a school in Philadelphia. This was perfect for us! Extremely clean, well appointed, perfect size. Places close by to eat. A short drive to the places we were visiting. Great communication. Definitely recommend!

The entry steps were difficult for us. I would not recommend this for senior citizens with mobility problems. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with coffee dishes etc. The beds were comfortable. The host was easy to contact and answered my questions promptly.

Small but efficient space for 4 people. Place was clean and comfy, which was needed after a long day of sight seeing.

Can't say enough how great this experience was, clean, neat, all the little things you forget were provided. Took my lady and 13yr old daughter, she loved having her own room.
I grew up in Delco so the location is ideal If I could score higher I would, thanks for the experience.

After seeing the area around the “apt” we chose not to stay. The listing is surrounded by public housing and the area is crowded and run down. Not at all what we expected.

My family and I just relocated to the area. We stayed in this little gem, while house hunting, after a long move. It was GREAT! Extremely clean, and VERY cozy! Everything you'll need is here. The location is great, close to everything. Target is a two min trip from door to door, lots of food choices near by also. The host, Russ, is attentive and kind, always responsive to requests! We would definitely stay here again!!
