Very nice property. The hotel is old, but well maintained. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. I didn’t like the pillows. The staff was friendly. The hotel is walking distance to other hotels and river walk. We liked this hotel doesn’t have a casino, so it’s smoke free.

The Hotel was extra clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful on arrival and after. Just an overall great experience.

Stepping into the Plaza Resort Club is stepping into a time warp where one is transported to the year 1981. Dark, traditional furnishings and outdated decor are reinforced by framed posters and magazine covers celebrating Reno casino culture from a long bygone era. Faux wood paneling and ancient wallpaper look and feel tired, and the extra blankets have rips and tears in them (we had 2 vintage polyester blankets - both damaged).
Floor-to-ceiling windows are nice but do not open - I was always in search of air - and are dressed with vinyl drapes (good blackout and terribly ugly). The beds are comfortable enough, I was grateful that the mini-fridge was quiet, but the rattle and hum of the elevator quite annoying. The room was pretty clean and it is evident that management is doing its very best to keep vintage furnishings and finishes tidy, but the vents were quite dirty and I woke each morning with a stuffed nose and watery eyes that were relived after exiting the building.
The area around the hotel is a little sketchy - I witnessed 2 near-fist fights between transients that sleep in the small riverside plaza next to the building and aggressive locals walking their dogs - weird and unsettling.
Free parking is a great gift - overall, the place is great if you are looking for a bargain that is clean and central to casinos and don't mind a little grit and age.

The pillows! Brought one home (again) because they are the best. Love the speakeasy within the Plaza Resort Club and the pool was lovely. Very convenient location close to the river walk, casinos, and great food!

The hotel is very nice, the room is very spacious and clean, the hotel for me has 5 stars! Only that maybe next time I will ask for a room in the back because in the middle of the hotel there is a nightclub that is too loud, the music and the people's shouts were very loud despite being on the 10th floor! From there everything has been great

The beds were extremely comfortable, they are on the softer side which is what I look for. The location and room was quiet enough that I didn't have to put on white noise sounds to sleep. I love the decor and history that is represented. I ended up staying another night on my way back from Sacramento.

Spacious rooms even if a little dated. Nice and clean. Bathroom area was really nice. Neighborhood is great and it's nice to have secure parking included. I will definitely stay here again.

A lot of positives: clean, comfortable room, free secure parking garage, small fridge and micro, extra large room with plenty of storage. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
There is an indoor pool. The room seemed chilly so I didn't check if the pool was warm. No hot tub. Gym had a few pieces of equipment but no mats or space to stretch. Large windows in our room were drafty making the room cold despite the heater running almost constantly.
Overall a good stay and with some more updates this would be an amazing vacation getaway.

The rooms are really clean and spacious. The staff were nice, and the location was very close to nearby restaurants. They lock the garage so that your vehicles are safe at night. The bathrooms were really clean and they also provided free wifi. Will stay again next year.

We enjoyed our stay. One little suggestion: the pillows seemed too thick.

I did go to nugget hotel. I did refuse to stay in this horrible hotel. Smells sh.., everything very old, horrible parking. This hotel should be taken out of business. The description of the hotel in the Expedia website does not reflect the miserable conditions of this hotel. I request refund and I’ll take it to the court for mistreatment of customers. I request an immediate reparation. I’ll also contact Reno chamber of commerce to inspect this hotel. Worst experience ever. I call Expedia several times no contesting. What poor service. Shane on Expedia.

One thing that was rather questionable is the notice on the room safe; It says that the management is in no way responsible for the safety of anything placed in the safe, and that they have no legal responsibility in this regard. Since it's well known that room safes can always be opened by the hotel staff, even if you set your own password, the disclaimer actually gives the staff the ability to steal everything you place in the safe with no responsibility or possible appeal.

This hotel is super nice and clean for the money I paid it’s every dollar worth it. Definitely will be stay there again

If the city can clean up the homeless problem it would be a lot more inviting outside the hotel. Appreciated the locking parking garage at night.

LOVED this hotel. Its like stepping back in time. The historical aspect of the decorations was wonderful. A different subject one each floor, we were on 12, themed Lake Tahoe, with old 1900s photos of fishing, boating and gambling at Lake Tahoe. Out of curiosity, we stopped at 11, with was themed Native Americans in Nevada, and 10 which at a glance look like the history of mining in the area. The room was spotless, the big king bed was bliss. An exceptional touch...we didn't have to deal with the big fluffy deco pillows. Regular sized pillows were in the bedside cabinet. Spectacular view of NW Reno from room 1209, especially at night, with big, wrap around floor to ceiling windows. Pull up a chair, pull a drink from the fridge, and just sit and relax, watching the lights. Big bathroom, lots of mirrors, thermostat with a QUIET fan. We loved EVERTYTHING about this hotel. Locked parking garage. Walking distance to delicious restaurants, the river walk, and the Pioneer Center. Well lit streets made strolling fun and safe. Literally a 3 minute walk to Marcolino's Italian Restaurant on the river, our absolute favorite. 10 minute walk to the Pioneer Center. We absolutely will be back in January. Our new favorite "stay-cation!"

I had a great experience in this hotel. The gentleman in the front desk was very welcoming and super informative. I appreciated the location of the hotel and the many amenities. The size of the room was great and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I am very thankful for the easy parking situation as well!

Friendly front desk staff. Coffee and breakfast sandwich was good. Liked the old school front desk and decor throughout. Only downside was we had the parkung garage elevator next to our room apparently and you could here it constantly humming but mot to loud thankfully.

Super cute retro hotel! Our room was immaculate and the staff was incredibly professional and accommodating. You can tell the building is older, but the beds were new and very comfortable. We were able to walk to a wide variety of great restaurants and the free parking was a huge plus. We'll be back!

This hotel is super adorable, quiet and comfortable. We love our room. It was spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable and we fell asleep instantly. In addition, the water pressure was excellent! Everyone should check out this place.

Rooms appear to be recently remodled. They lock the parking garage at night and give you a Garage door opener to go in and out to ensure safety. Staff were great. Exercise room was small, but had enough things to work out. Nice hotel, We will definitely stay here again.

First time staying here. Love the convenience to the downtown location. Love how safe and secure it is. You need to have a key to get in and out also into the parking garage. Could use a update with the decor. Overall the staff was friendly and it was a decent price.

We spent a Saturday night here at this hotel in the Riverwalk District. Check-in was smooth and fast. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, clean. We also got free parking. Hotel is a short distance to the Riverwalk which was the most pleasant surprise to my first time in Reno. Riverwalk stretches for miles...tree rimmed and very pleasant to walk along. Only negative was that the hotel bar was closed on Sat. night. However, there was a rec room with pool table and TV so we ended up shooting pool and drinking champagne we brought instead. I'd definitely stay at Plaza Resort Club again.
