Everything was wonderful. We truly have little to complain about if anything. The daily breakfast was a treat. The availability of coffee was great!! The location was fantastic as we could walk to almost everything we wanted to do. The staff was very friendly!! The service of making up our room daily was a wonderful surprise as that is not done any more in most places. I loved relaxing in the courtyard after a full day. There is really not anything of importance that we did not like.
We were in a first-floor room which we prefer but our window faced the entrance to the parking garage. Not much of a view and a little noisy but not too much. We were also right outside the staff room. Just a little noisy on occasion but not bad at all. There was really nothing that we would complain about.

It is well situated in the historic district across from the visitor center where they have free buses. The hotel has an outdoor pool (unheated) and offers a free breakfast.
The reception had no record of a modified reservation in my name made by booking.com even though I had prepaid via booking.com. Booking.com insisted that they had spoken to somebody at the Hampton Inn. Booking.com also claimed that they had modified my reservation from March to April at the same reasonable rate. I was forced to share a room with my sister. We soon learned that the daily rate doubled to $625 on the weekend. I asked for a refund from booking.com and they agreed but I am still waiting

Large free breakfast selection; waffles were particularly fine! Located across the street from the Visitor Center, where many tour busses do their pickups. Almost all the staff was very friendly and eager to please. Very comfortable beds and pillows!
We were unable to adjust the heating and cooling system in the room, despite the staff's efforts to help us. The room was uncomfortably warm except when the system was blowing out cold air.

Location was good. In walking distance to most places.Breakfast was good ( could use something to make it exceptional. Our room was great and the staff was super . Would stay there again and recommend to to friends !!!!
Just a little nosier than expected. Spring break for lots of people. For some reason, breakfast was not top of the line as expected and paying for parking was not what we expected. Would be nice to have Kuerig in your room instead of old fashion coffee..

Excellent location. We could walk anywhere in the historic district, plus the CARTA line was right across the street. The room was clean and comfortable, and custodial staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurants nearby as well.
Breakfast was chaotic. The space was not large enough for all the guests on a busy Easter weekend. I had a completely ice-cold shower my first morning due to the large number of guests draining the hot water. This was the reason given to me by staff. The problem was fixed by the next morning, and I had no further issues. For the amount I paid for the room, I expected at least a warm shower!

Breakfast and room were very good. Disappointed in $35/ night garage charge. If public parking, could negotiate lesser rate?
Front desk staff we dealt with had a little info about shuttle, did not seem pleased to see us, expected more Southern charm.
Any other options for parking?

Lokacija mi se svidjela
Ostala mi je torbica u sobi. Zatražila sam informaciju je li pronađena. Nisam dobila nikakav odgovor.
Baš to nije u redu

Location in the historic district. We were there for a campus tour at College of Charleston and this hotel worked out perfect for our stay.
Nothing really! We were only there for an overnight stay however. It was a nice peek to have the attached parking deck for hotel guests so we didn’t have to worry about parking arrangements for our stay.

The location was perfect.
The dogs that were allowed near the breakfast buffet. I am allergic to dogs and feel it's not fair to have them indoors and around food. I smelled a strong odor of dog urine in the elevator and mentioned it to the front desk clerk and she just rolled her eyes. I paid alot of money to stay in your hotel and feel this is not acceptable.

Good location, coffee was always ready downstairs. Nice desk staff.
First, the parking situation was less than ideal. Charging 35.00 per day is a little bit excessive… I thought I selected the free parking as a filter on Booking app; however, after the cancellation window, we got a “welcome email” and that is where I found out about the parking costs. I’m sure this was on me, and should have looked closer.
Arriving at the property, check in was a breeze, and initially room was great. Then we settled in. The carpets felt as if they were coated in filth. The looked clean, but walking on them, socks or bare feet get dirty.
There was a large roach in the toilet… and that sometimes happens so we overlooked it. The second night, two small ones in the bathroom. I contemplated talking with the desk but it was after 1 am and we had a long day. The last night — around the same time of night a small one was in the bathroom again, and then a large roach came down the wall near the TV. We decided to discuss it with the staff at check out, thinking that would be the best time to speak, and late at night — there’s nothing you can do. The girl was nice, but said we should have told them when it happened. This really wouldn’t have helped, as roaches are probably throughout the entire building. And since they didn’t offer any monetary refund at checkout, clearly that wasn’t an option. For the cost per night, I’d have expected better.
The tub was very strange, with a center dip down from the sides.. so your feet couldn’t remain flat. Imagine standing in a bowl almost. There was a sandy substance on the floor, inside the tub coating .. not uncomfortable, but with the dip - the overall shower experience was not pleasant.
Overall the room was incredibly humid, and there was no fan to pull the humidity out, or any humidity from showers out either.

Schade.

Lobby was very nice. Didn’t use pool or work out machines
Walls and floors from above to thin. Can hear others in the rooms next door and people walking above till wee hours of the morning. Was never told about the parking situation a head of time. To many dressers in the room, making it stuffy and 2 drawers on one of the dressers wouldn’t stay closed so we had to put napkins in the sides of them so they wouldn’t open.

Have stayed here many times. Love the place just wish there was a refrigerator/microwave in the room. That would make it perfect.

Customer service was above and beyond. Matt always greeted us and went out of his way. Breakfast was excellent.
Always have the water containers out all night due to customers coming in late.

The cost seemed a bit high but we were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean.
The pillows were soft but everyone has a different opinion of that sort of thing.

Very close to the historic district. Clean. Excellent staff who were very helpful, polite and responsive. Nice pool.
Worst was the attempt by the hotel to carry out renovations while guests are staying adjacent to work areas. And it is ongoing, without an end in sight. Also, my room had a connecting door and I could hear far too much in the next room. And some rooms do not have refrigerators. Ask a lot of questions.

LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF & BREAKFAST

The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also pretty good with variety. Location was perfect for walking around town.
I thought the need to request any housekeeping ahead of time was a little strange, but I guess it's good to limit unnecessary work for everyone.

The courtyard was very nice, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good. Great location for walking to local restaurants, the waterfront and the Market.
There was some kind of bad smell in the lobby, and we were hopeful it was not in our room. When entering our room there was also a bad smell, although different than the one in the lobby. Although the room appeared to be clean, it was very dated so it did not feel very clean.
