Very beautiful building, inside and out. LP player in the room, French Press coffee maker, velvet curtains, beautiful upholstery and wallpaper, very complete mini-bar/snacks, big walk-in shower, friendly staff.
Our room wasn't ready on time, but I understand staffing problems. Somehow, our mattress was uncomfortable? I don’t have a strong preference in mattress types, but this was not my vibe. One of the restaurants, The Civic, is on the website but appears to be closed.

Nicely decorated, friendly staff. The bathrooms were done very nice
The worst nights sleep I’ve ever ever had. The air condition units come on every 10 minutes, and when they do, they sound like jumbo jets. I’ve never heard anything like it. Spent the night being woken up by it. Couldn’t switch it off because it was so hot in the room.
The room had two plug sockets and neither where anywhere near the bed.
There was coffee but no milk or creamer.

Funky design and cool location.
Cramped space and limited amenities . I know the market is hot for downtown hotels but you could do more to make your guests welcome ESPECIALLY when your rooms are so small…

The hotel itself was great, but I booked dinner at the Civic during a prix fixe night for my anniversary, and the service was terrible. I emailed a complaint and never got a reply. With service this bad at the Broadview’s restaurant, I’m never staying or dining there again.

very overpriced for what it was. turntable and speaker didn’t work. told them to fix it they never did. tv didn’t work. basic room facilities. weird location. nothing special. also charged a lot more than stated on booking.com - at booking it said taxes and charged included but it appears they weren’t.
location was very bad. dodgy area. far from everything. room amenities basic and tv and turntable didn’t work. overpriced rooms.

over prized rooms are super noisy , building is shaking when tram stops .
no proper bathroom . one tiny sink for 3 adults and no shower head if you want to wash without setting your hair . clearly not made with any details in mind just functional .

Comfortable beds, nice area with a dog park and a GreenP right in front. Not too noisy. The Broadview is my new home away from home. Just love it there.
There was a lot of dust behind the bed and sofa. The showers could have been designed to be a bit more user friendly.

Very friendly staff. Cosy rooms. great rooftop bar.
Floors in the room were not clean and very dusty.

Didn't have bkfst. Location for me was fine as close to relatives but not good otherwise. Rooftop lounge lovely - obviously main attraction.
Staff were friendly. Bed and pillows good.
I was probably in the basic room,if so slightly smaller bed would have been better to create more space. Fun to have a record player but lacked simple things like creamer for coffee/tea.
Bathroom fine but again - eg. no shower cap! (sort of comp. item that is useful!)
Public area only in restaurants apart from a row of joined uncomfortable seats opp. reception.

The location was easy to reach our cruise ship. The renovations of the hotel are modern, comfortable and pleasing. The staff is fabulous, very personable and responsive. Great rooftop restaurant with a fabulous view
Oddly enough, the light switches are behind the room door as you open it so that a woman alone would feel uncomfortable not being able to see inside the room before she walked in.
