Fantastic value for money during big conference week.
Location is extremely comfortable , with 10 minutes to get to Moscone Center and surroundings.
Very secure environment , with 24x7 staffing
The service is basic (think premium hostel) , but very well delivered
Shared bathrooms/showers are spotless and regularly disenfected
bunk beds are too soft
noisy fridge in the room (but easy to unplug :)
make sure to get there with $100 cash for the caution, refund on credit card might be very long

The Urban is a really good budget option for San Francisco. Central location, clean and very nice staff.I had the perfect stay.
Other guests smoking outside very close to the entrance.

The location of the hotel is really good for exploring San Francisco. The rooms are rather small but I didn't spend much time there anyway. Housekeeping did a very good job. Restrooms, showers and my room have been very clean!
3.0
Free coffee, fridge and sink in the room.
There were no elevators and my room was on the 3rd floor. Today hot water wasn’t running early morning so I had to take a cold shower. The room carpet was stinky and the bed was so uncomfortable, and noisy as well. Outside noise in the area is also a problem. There were homeless people sleeping in front of the building. It’s a general issue in SF but you’ll need to dial a code for the receptionist to open the door. Sometimes the receptionist is not there so you’ll have to wait in front of the door while there are hobos around asking for money etc. it wasn’t pleasant at all.

It was one of the best options with this price, it is well located, really close to the Chinatown gate. the bathroom was shared but it was always very clean, also they could clean the bedroom every day if asked
the bedroom is very small, I got one with a single bed. A fridge in the bedroom or even on the shared kitchen would be helpful. I stayed in the first floor so hadn’t problems with my luggage but the stairs are small and can be a challenge.

Great location, clean room and clean toilet and shower. The location was perfect, nice and safe and everything was close by. I felt at home and comfortable my entire stay. Depending on where your room is facing, it can get loud in the mornings but other than that I was happy with everything
it gets loud at night and in the morning both from commotion outside and loud fridge humming etc

Perfect location. Very practical. Nice living room and kitchen. Clean shared bathroom. :)

The location is excellent, you have all the public transportation options one or two blocks from the hotel, it's central so obviously you're going to hear the typical traffic noise of a city, it's logical because of the location which I insist is excellent. Plus you don't see as many crazy people wandering around as you do in neighborhoods closer to the Tenderloin. It really has a very safe location. The property has many bathrooms and they are super clean. The hotel workers are very friendly.

The price was a bargain. Other than that, there's not much to be happy about.
Extremely dirty, hair on my friend's pillow. Strange brown stain on the bed. Checked out immediately and went to another hotel! Gross random bathtub room in shared restroom facilities that looked especially disgusting. Definitely do not stay here! Photos make the tiny rooms look much bigger than they are. It's a bare bones hostel, I wouldn't complain if it were clean... but unfortunately it was not.
