Incredible!!! Massive house with stunning garden right in the centre of Kyoto. Nearby shops, kimono rental, bars, temples, etc. So well appointed, clean and comfortable! Can’t recommend enough. We managed to bag two nights for just under £400 in total and I think I’d have been happy even if we’d paid twice the amount!

the complete lack of hooks in the bathroom. plus it’s quite dark downstairs and there are no mirrors upstairs so it was challenging to do my makeup

beautifully restored period house and stunning traditional garden and ofuro lots of space modern design of kitchen & bathroom washing machine was excellent quality how independent the checkin and out was - worked well with the instruction videos and very responsive chat with property manager

it wasn’t as central as I’d have liked it was a bit noisy at night, I think due to some local businesses and the fact we were on ground floor or something could you provide more solid pillows! they deflated flat - give pillow options (some people like firmer) the slippers were very difficult to wear - can you give lighter ones? the beds were too narrow for 2 people

Basics in the fridge would have been useful

Outdoor ofuro was great!! Futon and the blankets were to die for! Amenities was great !

Nothing but if we had to suggest something maybe instructions please - haha we didnt know what the rack was for near the sink....
