Location and garden/restaurant is amazing. The food is good and the staff at the hotel restaurant were SO ATTENTIVE AND SWEET. Lupita especially was the perfect server/waitress. I was really well looked after every evening I went downstairs for a glass of wine and a snack.
Rooms are super damp. I mean really damp. Our passports turned wet in the room. Very noisy too.

Location was pretty good and most of the staff were really nice
I did not like the waitress in the restaurant always with actitud and it seems like they have preferences for other guest's, beds are hard wish they were more comfortable also this hotel has a lot of stairs even for the first level lol that's crazy !!

A great central location in the heart of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. The staff were awesome and the room was one of the best I’ve stayed in for the value.
Nothing.

The only thing I liked is the location
It was extremely noisy. I asked not to be put near the water pump, as one of the reviewers suggested, but they still did. I thought the noise was the blow dryer from the other room and the toilet flushing and sneezing could be heard. Anytime someone would leave their room, we could hear it. Pleasant staff but if you’re a light sleeper, don’t stay here. I didn’t have time to look for another hotel because I had tours starting early and coming late.

The hotel and room is beautiful, located in an antique building in the very center of San Cristobal. We also tried the restaurant, which is nicely located in the courtyard. The food was eccellent.
Because of one of the staff members we had a very negative experience. On our way to San Cristobal from Palenque the street was blocked by demonstrating farmers. We where lucky to find another road, which was longer, but in decent conditions. On our way back from San Cristobal to Palenque, we asked the reception staff very precisely about the road conditions and we explained the circumstances. The staff told us that the street was free, and that there where no problems for the transit to Palenque, so we took the main road. This turned out to be a big error, the road block was still in place. There is no way the staff of the hotel in San Cristobal could not be informed about that, as it was not a new situation but ongoing since several days. The road block was near Ocosingo which is more than half way to Palenque, and there is no other street to reach Palenque from there. The only option is to go almost all the way back to San Cristobal (3 hours of travelling) or to take a dangerous dirt road in the middle of the mountains, which is the only way to reach Palenque during the same day at this point. I hope that this comment can be usefull for the hotel to be better informed on the road conditions in the future, which is very important for their guests! The staff should also care if the guests are able to travel safely to their next destination.

The gardens and whole building was really beautiful, the rooms were really comfortable, good food and friendly staff
Our room didn’t have an external window which was a shame, but it was still really well designed and it made it very easy to sleep
