it was very good located, near great restaurants and bars, but yet you couldn’t hear a thing. And the beds were great!!

DO NOT STAY HERE. When I checked into the Pilgrim hotel, they asked for full payment upfront, so I paid, except on the day I checked out, they asked for the money again. Using my phone, I logged into my bank account and showed them proof of payment. They still insisted that I had not paid, told me the first charge was merely a security deposit, and will be returned to me. In the mean time, I had a flight to catch, and the driver was waiting and only allowed me a 20 minute grace period. I had no choice but to pay. I lodged a complaint with Booking, showed them my credit card statement, and they said they'll contact Pilgrim to issue me a refund. My statement showed a charge of 4,720,000 on 15 Oct and 4,725,000 VND again on 22 Oct. It's been a month and a half since my stay, and I've not received my refund. I'm a single dad who doesn't have a lot of money to spare. To the owners of Pilgrim, I kindly ask you, please do the honorable thing, and give my money back.

Nice big rooms with a large window and balcony. Rare to find big hotel rooms in hanoi on a budget. Great location. Right next to the church and in the centre of old hanoi. 2 minutes walk to everything! Super helpful and friendly staff

Bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood are open till late and can get a bit noisy. The bathroom was small and dated. No separate shower so everything gets wet.
