The room service on cleaning the room was good.

Me and my friend got sick right after having food from this hotel and the sickness is getting worst day by day…also the hotel didn’t have AC in the bedroom so I had to shift my mattress to the living room to have a comfortable sleep…

This was an excellent apartment which my adult daughter and I stayed in for two weeks. I never understand why people book just a hotel room, especially for longer stays, when they can have all the space and convenience of an apartment for the same money! Especially as we stayed here following a medical procedure, the apartment offered us all the space and amenities that we could have wanted. The apartment was smart and clean, with a modern and fairly spacious bathroom. It offered us plenty of living space, with effectively two sleeping areas, as the sofa bed was very comfortable and more than large enough for my daughter. Despite some previous negative reviews about the breakfast, we were really impressed by the range and quantity of food that was delivered to our room each day, at any time requested. The elements of the breakfast were almost the same each day, but the variety was such that you could have different options from it as you wanted. The only thing I would have liked would have been some fruit and/or yoghurt as part of the breakfast, but other than that, it was very good and fresh. There is also a swimming pool at the apartments, which looked pleasant, but we didn't use this as we were there in winter. The staff at The Place Suites were all polite and helpful, with the reception staff speaking very good English, and always prepared to help us order taxis etc, although I highly recommend downloading the BiTaksi app whilst in Istanbul. I would add that we had a 50% discount when booking our stay, and this is what made the apartment particularly good value for money.

The cleaning hours were a bit random, which meant that we often asked them not to come because they often turned up when we were still in the apartment. We also lost wifi for just over a day, but I believe this was out of the control of the property. The location isn't particularly central, but there were good little supermarkets just a few minutes walk away, and it is easy and cheap to get taxis anywhere. A couple of very large and very good shopping malls are less than a 10 minute taxi drive away, and for what you get for your money with the apartment, it was well worth being slightly less central. We found the building controlled heating to be a bit excessive (which seems very common in Istanbul!), but we countered this by opening the windows or using the A/C when required.

Rooms weren't cleaned every day, towels were smelly and very worn, place was tired and suite was cramped although it was meant to be a deluxe suite. Underfloor heating was constantly on and rooms were too hot hence we had to leave patio doors open at night, breakfast was ridiculous, staff weren't bothered when we complained about the rooms not being cleaned. We asked for fresh towels and were refused until I went down myself to reception and they gave us some. Overall a shabby place with poor service and no restaurant! Breakfast served is of their choice and its useless. Avoid it if you can.

This hotel is a disaster. Staff are unfriendly and can't speak any English. I still have not got my invoice because nobody at the reception can take care of this matter before 9:00 am. Breakfast also doesnt start until 9:00 am.

Breakfast was good, nourishing and tasty. Staff were friendly and responsive. You have everything you need for stay.

Wifi was unusable, too slow. Some stuff in room was untidy or broken (sheets with holes, balcony door was hard to close), constant smell of smoking from ventilation. Too far from city center, but that's expected (more than an hour to one side by public transport, and up to 1 hour by taxi).

The location was really amazing and the breakfast was super good.

The wifi wasn’t working in our room so we couldn’t really use our electronics and the tv was only Turkish. Also it is a little far out of town and very quiet.
