Very nice hotel with great restaurants

Gavin was professional and courteous on check-in. He recommended a good Italian restaurant, Contini on George Street. Baba, the hotel’s Lebanese restaurant was good too. The room was comfortable and spacious with a bath and rain shower. The complimentary Tunnock’s wafer biscuits were a nice touch! We had a lovely stay at the Kimpton Charlotte Square and Edinburgh was, as ever, a beautiful and friendly city.

This was a beautiful hotel in an excellent location! While the staff was very nice, the bar needs real bartenders (drinks was mediocre) and breakfast was unimpressive for such as nice hotel.

Beautiful and cosy place just few steps away from the center. The atmosphere is exactly what you are expecting from a Scottish Hotel. Unfortunately for 2nights we had some problems with the heating and the noise the radiator was making. After the first night, when I showed the reception our concern, they told us that someone would have fixed it. None did. After the second night, at the check out I expressed again our concern and disappointment. The person at the desk checked what was not done. And he offered us a free break to apologise. If it wasn’t for this kind man, I would have given them 2* and not 4*.

Excellent hotel in every way. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The restaurant Baba served delicious Lebanese style tapas.

Great staff , free beer and take away breakfast for an early starter - loved it

£350 a night is high for the rooms. Service is good, parking overnight is high. Unfortunately a dog was left in the room next door and barked between 3.00 am and 4am non stop. I called the desk and the owner had left the dog alone. It was taken downstairs thankfully.

Breafast was terrible. I would like to get a refund on this please as the toaster broke. This caused comlete chaos i complained at the time

The hotel is beautiful, well presented and the welcome is warm and friendly. The rooms were quite pokey for the price however and the breakfast was lacking. The breakfast staff were very polite but we were often left without cutlery, brought the wrong egg / overcooked eggs and one morning they didn’t come at all. The restaurant in the evening was delicious however. The gym facilities are great and spa area is a nice addition in the colder months!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. I booked 4 bedrooms for our family group and everyone enjoyed their stay. Slept soundly in the very comfortable luxurious rooms and enjoyed the overall ambiance of the bar and communal lounges. We didn’t have time to visit the spa on this occasion but some of the group loved spa days there previously. The staff were friendly and efficient. Liked the midday checkout as too often these days hotels require 11AM. The hotel entrance had been dressed for Christmas which was extra pretty and the scent of cinnamon and clove was instantly welcoming. We celebrated a happy occasion last night with champagne before heading off to nearby Hawksmoor on St Andrew’s Square, easily walkable and down to Galleries on Dondas street this morning. Walked to Waverley Station for our trains from the hotel in 15 minutes.

The service staff was phenomenal. The hotel was conveniently located, and we felt safe walking everywhere. 10/10 would recommend!!

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. The rooms were comfortable and really clean. The spa was nice and not overly busy. We enjoyed the bar area and wish we had booked at the restaurant before our stay (we couldn't get in it was so popular).

Absolutely fabulous hotel in the centre of Edinburgh. A short walk away from Princes Street and the Castle. Customer service was faultless. Rooms were clean and super comfortable. Highly recommend a stay at the Kimpton Charlotte Square

Low key hotel in the London tradition. Small lobby, maze of hallways and elevators to rooms, good food and drink, but a bit pricey. Rooms are much larger than expected and very nice. I would stay here again.

Throughly enjoyed stay at the Kimpton whose staff went above and beyond to make our stay very special. Guest Services helped arranging a surprise for my partner with flowers, chocolates and Prosecco on arrival. We had a great weekend in Edinburgh and would hope to stay again in the Kimpton on a next visit.

Great stay at the Kimpton - check in was fast & easy, excellent complimentary happy hour, really lovely interior of the hotel. Great location in New Town Edinburgh - very walkable. Literally everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend & would stay again!

The premium room with a view was absolutely terrible. Very small with no view at all other than a back street with lots of graffiti.

An amazing property that kept blowing me away days into my stay. Will be staying at Kimpton each time I visit Edinburgh.

We had a great stay-front desk reception was so kind and friendly. Bellman came out and met us as our taxi arrived from the train station and carried everything up for us.

This was such a perfect hotel for a getaway with my sister. The hotel is beautiful, the room was made up comfortably for two, and the common areas are lovely. We had no problem walking everywhere or taking the occasional Uber. My only complaint is that I had exchanged emails with the concierge to have something in the room for my sister for her birthday and that was overlooked, but otherwise, would highly recommend!

I love this hotel. The staff are kind, polite, and so helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and located in an area that’s safe with many dining options. A special shout out to Simon at the front desk who did everything possible to help us with requests whether large or small ones.

Great spot

Room was spotless. Ledge in bathroom needed a cot of paint, but otherwise excellent. I was disappointed that a hoover and a trolley to replenish things in rooms was left outside my room daily. Made me feel I was in the sad part of the hotel. I booked a massage at the spa - initially grim service but when I said I was a resident at the hotel, my treatment was booked. Felt a bit weird not to be asked at the start of the conversation. Getting through to the spa on the phone before my trip proved impossible (4 attempts). Pool was very clean. I would stay again.

Completely overpriced to be one story off the busy and loud sidewalk within a stones throw of a nightclub that was blasting until early in the morning. The room was anything but sound proof. Could not sleep at all due to the noise and disruption from the nightclub. I would expect this from a cheap motel but not this place for the price we paid. Would not and could stay again to this one issue. Otherwise exceptional service and facilities.

The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The head of Guest Services, Gavin, did a fantastic job at getting us booked for a tour, and directions for us to drive around Loch Lomand, and recommending Stirling Castle.

This lovely hotel is a classic. The address is Charlotte Square which is iconic in Edinburgh. They have very nice beds, a sweet and competent staff willing to help with everything, a nice restaurant called Baba. But it has what we loved most about Edinburgh. This hotel is elegant. Stay in the hotel right in the middle of the city.
