A bit of a walk into town

Schöner Balkon und Lage am Fluss, Zimmer sehr groß, Frühstück schlicht aber gut (zumindest das Essen; den Kaffee holt man sich besser nebenan am Ufer), ruhigere Gegend, aber dennoch ganz nach zur Altstadt

Aufgrund des überhöhten Umrechnungskurses des Hotels von USD in Kip habe ich etwa 1/4 mehr bezahlt, als bei Booking angegeben.

everything about this hotel was amazing. Really great wood design to the rooms. My favorite was the balcony which overlooks the Mekong. There is a street out front but it is not noisy or loud at all. This hotel is closer to the tip where there is less hubbub. Everyone who worked at the front desk was excellent. I really loved that They had a water cooler so you could fill your own bottles. Some hotels don’t have this and give you a new plastic water bottles every day, the plastic situation is obviously getting out of control everywhere. So I really appreciate That they had a water cooler. even tho it’s was quite expensive(for Laos) an Italian restaurant about a block away called Popolo was the best pasta carbonara I’ve ever had in my life. And it was in Laos . Which is crazy. Also, a noodle place a block away inland was super delicious. breakfast was quite ok, and the view is amazing.

I wish they had brewed coffee instead of just instant. But instant is kind of normal around there.

Great value, lovely old style guesthouse in nice quiet location close to all the sights. - simple tasty breakfast menu - lovely, helpful staff at desk - large, cool rooms and comfy beds

Fresh coffee would make a huge difference :)
