This condo and the facilities are absolutely stunning. The pictures are 100% accurate and we were thrilled with mostly everything. Housekeeping, bellmen and security were all incredibly friendly and responsive!
Some things for the owner/property manager to address: 1) Check-in was 3 hours late. Not good. 2) TVs were not working and the one bedroom was only finally corrected/addressed two days before we left. 3) Beds are soft and in desperate need of being replaced. 4) Some basic spices in the kitchen would be super helpful. We only had salt and a can of Pam cooking spray.
Overall, this is an outstanding property and we would definitely stay here again. Just a few items that would have made it a perfect "10."

We were looking for a nice place to getaway for the week and relax. We found it and truly enjoy ourselves. The pool was over the top.

We recently stayed in the Villa Rosita for 5 days. Claudia was helpful getting us set up and was available to answer any questions. Here are a few of our thoughts about the property:
Pros:
* Clean upon arrival
* Daily maid service
* Safe (doorman at entrance)
* Beds were comfortable
* Bathrooms were good (showers were spacious)
* Air conditioning worked well
* WiFi was great
* Dispenser with drinking water
* Parking was available
* Beautiful view
* Working hot tub
* Pool access was nice
* Close to grocery stores (across the street)
* Short walk to downtown
Cons:
* TV reception was okay/not many channels (but we were busy most of the time and didn't watch much)
* The kitchen could use a few more things for those of us who like preparing some of our meals
I would highly recommend Villa Rosita!

The condo had everything needed for a great stay. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are large with comfortable beds, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Claudia, on-site concierge, was welcoming and answered all questions, doormen were always helpful, and there was daily maid service. The pool and surrounding areas were kept clean and well maintained. The pool water was heated, and there is a hot tub as well. We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous condo
From the moment we entered our condo we were enchanted by the ocean view. This condo did not disappoint in any way. It was sparkling clean and spacious. The staff were wonderful. However, it was difficult for me to get to the pool area. I walk with a cane. There were no handrails only decorative ropes around the handicap ramp to the pool. The lounge chairs had no cushions and were low. Also, you had to walk thru a parking garage to get to the pool.

Our fourth time staying at El Cantil and first time in a two-bedroom. It was a nice unit.
El Cantil is a great property and this two bedroom was a nice unit with a great view. Only tiny negative was that we liked to cook on our vacations and this unit could have used more utensils and bowls. Real wineglasses would be nice, too. We made due just fine--next time I would just bring a few more of my own things. We had a great vacation; love El Cantil and the fact that you don't have to rent a car--everything you need is within walking distance.

We loved staying in El Cantil. The condo we rented was VERY well maintained and clean. We loved being able to walk to the stores/restaurants. The pool was so nice and you can order pool side food/drinks from the restaurant on the top floor of the condo building. We did have daily breakfast and one dinner at the roof top restaurant and the food was delicious, service great.
We have stayed at the all-inclusive next door and while they have benefits this place easily rivals it for luxury!
If you want to enjoy getting to know the city then we would recommend staying at El Cantil!
We stayed during Hurricane Ernesto and were greatly helped by Claudia on booking a flight to Cancun. All of the staff--maid, waiters, office, security were nice/helpful. Our two bedroom was beautiful

We loved staying in El Cantil. The condo we rented was VERY well maintained and clean. We loved being able to walk to the stores/restaurants. The pool was so nice and you can order pool side food/drinks from the restaurant on the top floor of the condo building. August 2011 Dive Trip
Prepare to be wowed! This is a great condo in a terrific location. We loved the restaurant upstairs, some of the best breakfasts I have had in years and a spectacular view. The staff was geat and the pool area beautiful.

We have stayed at El Cantil over half dozen times
We frequent Cozumel often as we live on the Texas Gulf Coast and it is only about a 2 hour flight. Of all the palces we have stayed, El Cantil is the top. This is an excellent place for families to vacation as it is low key compared to the all inclusive resorts with large crowds and marginal food. The accomodations are very comfortable and clean and usually each bedroom has its own bath with king bed. The staff is always vey helpful. El Cantil is located close enough to downtown to walk saving on cab fares required to go downtown from some of the distant hotels. Primava's on top of El Cantil is a great place to dine and the best view in Cozumel. In additon, Cozumel has numerous really great resturants.

Beautiful property
We love El Cantil. We stay two weeks and have for years. Each room we stay in is exactly as described. Each is very nicely decorated. Great kitchen equipment and appliances. The location is perfect as it is within walking distance to great restaurants. Our view of the Caribbean is breathtaking. After diving we relax in our jacuzzi and take in the view. The staff from Claudia and Ramon are incredibly dedicated at making sure every thing runs smoothly.Doris keeps our room immaculate. During our last trip, they went out of their way to get a bottle of wine delivered from a friend at home. We do recommend this place to our family and friends. The diving is fabulous of course. We very much enjoy Prima and its new location. Mateo and other at Prima make us feel like family. Driving around the island is a highlight. The views at Coconuts are incredible. Another great spot is Playa Bonita and the Reggae Bar. Kinta in town is worth the trip. For a romantic spot, you must eat at La Veranda. You can easily enjoy those great spots easily from El Cantil.

It is just a short walk to town and the plaza. We had glorius sunsets each night and watched the sun disappear from our balcony. The hot tub is also a real plus for relaxing. Maid service was excellent and we never even saw the person. But it was always very clean. I would highly recommend this rental unit and plan to return in November.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in Feb this year. The condo is wonderful. On nights we went to dinner at Prima we were able to get on the elevator and go up 2 flights to have dinner. It is just a short walk to town and the plaza. We had glorius sunsets each night and watched the sun disappear from our balcony. The hot tub is also a real plus for relaxing. Maid service was excellent and we never even saw the person. But it was always very clean. I would highly recommend this rental unit and plan to return in November.

El Cantil is a wonderful place to stay if you like beautiful views, large balconys, peaceful serenity, great food, wonderful staff in both the restaurant, at the door and the front desk. If you don't like those kinds of things than this is not the place for you. Great Job Al

Many thanks to Al and his staff at El Cantil for always delivering a great property at a great price! We always stayed at the El Presidente for many, many years, but after Al built El Cantil we switched and have been repeat guests for the past 6 years. Great views, great seaside pool, perfect location where you can walk to the main plaza in 5 minutes. Dive with any operator and they will pick you up at El Canitl's on-site pier.
